I had passed this place a hundred times, but finally stopped in, but glad I finally stopped in with a friend and we both enjoyed our meals. I ordered a poke bowl and my friend ordered shrimp and scallop Hibachi. Everything was tasty and fresh, also reasonably priced. The service was efficient and friendly. My best friend was down from Charleston visiting and we were craving hibachi so I found this wonderful little cozy gem tucked away in garden city/ savannah. From the moment we walked in the door the staff SPOILED us! We were greeted so warmly! The food was delicious, the service was above and beyond! The restaurant is small with less than 10 tables. The staff was inviting and service was pretty quick. We had a party of 8. With only one server for the restaurant it made it a bit difficult to keep up with refills and such. They give complimentary spring rolls as a appetizer, which were yummy. I got the hibachi steak. It was good. My husband ordered the chicken teriyaki, but shrimp teriyaki arrived to the table. When he mentioned it to the server she was like nope, that's what you ordered. Was in the mood for sushi and came across Mizu! Sooooo happy we decided to come here. Located in the shopping center that's behind the garden city police department. There's free parking. From the outside I got the appearance that it would be a much bigger restaurant than it was- I counted 10 tables. So we didn't know what to expect. This is the definition of a small business and family owned restaurant. A family was working together to wait the tables, including some littles that were helping out. The menu was pretty big! They had all the rolls, hibachi and various appetizers you could imagine you'd get at some of the bigger places. We ordered the spicy tuna tata, tricolor sushi, Inari and spicy tuna roll! We paid $50 for this including two drinks. They gifted us two egg rolls & soup & salad. The food tasted so fresh and delicious. Based on the location we were slightly nervous as to what to expect but the food quality did not disappoint!! WOW! We definitely found our new sushi spot. Decided to get a pickup order while I was in town for work. I ended up getting the hibachi which came with salad and soup, tuna cappacio, and the tuna pizza. Hands down the tuna pizza is a MUST like I will come back here every time solely for this. It was also quite filling. The ginger dressing was also really good. The soup I thought would just be generic normal miso but it was mushroom miso soup which was actually way better than any other soup I've had. Hibachi was relatively similar to most good hibachi places. I would love to come for an actual sit down because inside was absolutely adorable. It's a small little place with limited seating but super cozy with nice decor. Service was also great, my food was ready almost immediately after putting in my order and the guy I spoke with was very kind. OMG Roll - TABLE FAVORITE, big, good, delicious Sweet Potato - this should be served at Thanksgiving Dynamite Roll - lobster salad, AMAZING Spider Roll - meh, good but there are better choices M16 - FRIED BANANA?, not for everyone, but I liked it. Lobster salad, fried banana, sweet. Peanut Avocado Roll - I love this at other restaurants, but the peanuts overpowered the avocado so this was a disappointment. This is a hidden gem within Savannah. This family run sit down restaurant is quite easily the best Asian cuisine, South of the Savannah River. The host, waitress, and chef were all impeccable. We had Mushroom Soup, Edamame, Pork Gyoza, calamari, salmon Hibachi (incl. spring rolls, salad, and soup), Salmon Tempura Roll, and Salmon Roll all under $60. I ordered the hibachi chicken, my husband ordered chicken fried rice, and we shared a dumpling appetizer. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious, but the star of the show was definitely the dumplings--steamed & pan seared on the bottom. We ordered a second helping as soon as we finished the first plate. It was a slow night (for reasons I cannot comprehend, since this place should have a line out the door due to the quality) so the BOH sent up a complimentary egg roll app while we waited. This place is a really great addition to the area! The staff was also incredibly helpful, attentive, and friendly. I got the Mizu roll, takoyaki, dumplings, and a special (see photo). Everything was very good, and I will definitely be back here. The photo isn't mine, but because I don't know the name of the special (I used that picture to ask what it was when I was ordering). As for the special, it wasn't on the menu, and was a previous special. The person behind the counter was nice enough to offer and ask the chef, who then prepared it; it was definitely worth trying. The food was horrible. My wife ordered the chicken teriyaki and it was the worst I've ever had. The rice was good either. I ordered the sushi combo and besides the knife work of an amateur sushi chef with thick jagged cuts the sushi did not stay on the rice of the nigiri and for that matter the rice fell apart. I couldn't eat some of the sushi because of tasting off. For me to write a negative review is saying something especially about a mom and pop restaurant.
