Great experience. Good food. Staff was attentive and helpful. We definitely enjoyed it. We've never actually tried a hot pot experience, and the waitress really explained everything well. The sauce bar was a great feature as well!

It was a cold and raining day so we deciding to find a decent restaurant to eat at. We found Splendid Shabu for their hot pot! We went during lunch time and it wasn't too packed. Place is not an all you can eat service. They offer a variety of different combinations hot pot soup options. You get to choose your soup base, noodles, and then your choice of combination meats and seafood. I ordered the spicy broth with udon noodles, and choose the surf and turf that comes with a choice of meat option and mixed seafood. There are other a la carte items you are able to order. Spicy soup broth wasn't too spicy, but everything tasted good. In the corner there is a sauce bar where you are able to grab a combination of different sauce for your soup or for dipping. Overall decent amount of food that would get you full. I do recommend checking this place out. Service was decent and friendly and helpful waitress.

The restaurant interior is simple but cozy and clean. Orders are brought out fast, hot and fresh! I got the house broth which didn't taste like a lot for me BUT the sauce bar fixed that up real quick. The platter with meat and veggies is more than enough for 3-4 bowls and a full stomach. Very very friendly and attentive service. Would go again! ~ 15$ for a chicken plate, veggies and noodles is more than fair!

The left overs tho... I'm still souping it up. Leave nothing behind and for $2 bucks more order more Udon Noodles to go. I think I'm saying that right... those fat noodles. That way you can add to your stock and throw in any left over veggies from home or not and have you another meal at home. Holla

Big fat bowl of hot goodness on a cool winter day is what you will find here. It's a jackpot especially because my throat is feeling all dry right now. Lunch is a breeze during the week. Under $9 for a bowl and u pick your broth, protein, and noodles. You go to the sauce bar and mix up your concoction to give it more flavor. My thing is I have no idea what to mix up together. I just threw some peanut sauce, hoisin, oyster sauce, garlic, cilantro, and green onion in a bowl and through it in my soup. If you want extra veggies or an egg; the egg of all things is not included in the lunch express. If you want to make your own food, you can do it but it looks like what you include is ala carte so it may or may not add up. I'd rather it be cooked for me!

A friend of mine has had an eye on this place and we finally went. This was my first time having Hot Pot, and it was a great experience! I ordered the Egg noodle and Pork with the house broth. The house has the least amount of flavoring so I would recommend the curry or spicy. It's confusing at first when they bring out all the food, but you just have to go for it. The food is all very good, and it's a very interactive process. This place was great. If you're thinking about trying Hot Pot I would definitely recommend!! You will not be disappointed!!!

So this place is an experience. My first time here and it was memorable. Good times with a friend that was filled with laughter. An abundance of food that you cook yourself in a hotpot. The mixing of flavors into your broth in hopes of a delectable finish. Suggestions: give guidance on mixtures. Yes, you tell us the what the ingredients taste like but I need a sure recipe outlined for what will definitely taste good. I did a good job, but I feel like I could have made my broth taste better. A lot of trial and error. You can definitely share. My friend and I ordered separately which means we had an abundance of leftovers. Also, Gulfstream employees get a percentage off.

Passing through Savannah, staying near airport. 8 pm, on the road all day, need dinner. We Yelp! and select Splendid Shabu. Concept seems cool: they provide broth, you cook vegetables and protein. You also choose noodle style (udon, clear bean, ramen, etc). New to us. We both get vegetarian broth and ingredients, and it all cooks quickly on table-top electric hot plates. There is also a bar with sauces (hoisin, sweet chili, Paeno, etc) that you use to dip your ingredients. Yum! Everything worked great and was delicious. Super generous portions, way more than we could eat. Good service and atmosphere. Good value, our bill for two was $44 including tip. My only suggestion is that the fish used is paiche, an Asian catfish. Unfavorable bottom feeder, they could do better. Other than that, highly recommended.

Free sauce bar! The sauce mix suggested is always so delicious.

I love this place. It is easy to miss, but once you find it you'll come back time and time again. The soup bases are full of flavor and the portions are huge.

This is the only place in the area that has authentic Chinese hotpot! I especially like their lunch express bowl--it's basically noodle soup, using the hotpot soup base. It tastes wonderful. I wish they could offer express bowl during dinner time as well; I won't mind paying a few dollars more for the dinner time express bowl if they started doing that.

Bubble tea menu

This was a fun dinner spot. It was like the hot pot restaurants in Japan. Their receipts even have Japanese on them. We came at about 8:45pm and they are open til 1000 on the weekends. Our service was phenomenal. Our waiting was William. He explained the whole process and came back frequently to see if we needed anything. We ordered the spicy broth with the combo (2 meats and mixed vegetables), which I liked. You can add stuff to it from their sauce bar too. We really enjoyed the food. The dumplings were good too and came with 6 of them. Also ordered bubble tea. I did not like their bubble tea. They didn't put enough boba in it and it was watered down. So I would not get bubble tea there again. It was $45 for everything and we couldn't even finish our food.

Spinach, watercress, bean curd threads, enoki mushrooms, oyster mushrooms, lobster balls, vermicelli noodles

We ordered the Hot Pot and Grill because there's only a couple dollars difference. They have quite a lot of flavors, and I was informed none contained MSG. (I hope that's true) The prices are some of the cheapest I have seen, for the quality of food available. Guys, here is the best part, after we grilled our first round of meat, they actually changed out our grill. That has never happened. Not even in Korea! Can you please franchise in Virginia???There was a line on a Saturday at 3pm but we were seated and beginning to eat within 25 minutes. Could there be any negatives here? Not with the food or service... however... they make up a lot of profit in drinks. Soju is 17.00 a bottle and a lemonade was 7.99. Probably not the place you want to order drinks, unless it's a special occasion. Other than that, this will be our new stop by when traveling through. Absolutely amazing service and quality.

Every meal that I've had has been perfect. Silly enough, I've never had their Korean BBQ. I order off the menu every time. The crispy wings are a must! The wedge salad, so delish. The mushroom soup, also amazing. Their steaks are phenomenal-- delicious without being heavily seasoned. But the brussels sprouts are the winner. A must order! We had all of our raw dishes brought to the table and then no follow up with sauces and rice and we actually had to get up to find a manager to get served. They forgot our utensils for cooking too. Actually pretty bad. The service of neglecting actually began to piss us off. They have an automatic gratuity, which is unfortunate because they certainly dropped the ball last night. And they know it. The manager knew it. Amber knew it. They were busy so I'll give them that, but we really feel, as a party at six, that we were literally forgotten about. And there's way too many places to eat to have to endure that. If they're busy, I would move on.....if I were you. If they're slow, give them a try.

Everything was buffet style so you would go to the bar to grab your meats, drinks, and sauces. If you wanted rice, kimchi, or other sides please let your server know. Service was great and attentive. My server often came by and offered to cut the pork belly which by the way were my favorite here. The restaurant gave me a sense of modern/hipster vibes which can be appealing for young crowds and it seems pretty clean overall. I will preface this with telling you, I have high expectations of any Korean food I eat. I grew up on home cooked Korean food and I love it. I know when I find the real thing and when I find the cheap knock offs. I will say when I walked in and called out a annyeonghaseyo and the server looked at me confused, I almost turned tail. I'm glad I stuck it out though. Food--9.5/10. To start, the drink selection is very limited. They do offer some Korean drinks but very limited on them and any other beverage. That's the only detriment I had to this meal. The mandu was fantastic crisp on the outside juicy and flavorful inside. Just the perfect yaki mandu. The dolsot bibimbap was top notch. It came out blazing hot and sizzling and given I have hearing issues that even I could hear a bit of the sizzle tells you it was really sizzling. So when you dig down into the bottom, there's that gorgeous crispy rice at the base of the dish. It came out with four perfect banchan. The kimchi was delightful and well fermented. The potato is always one of my favorite and I adored it. The oi kimchi was so crunchy and tangy and the little shredded cabbage with what tasted like a gochujang mayo was simple but delightful and had me wanting more. If I had one complaint aside from the limited beverages is that I like my bibimbap sauce to be a bit more tangy and a larger amount. Regardless, I'll be paying them a visit again very soon because there are so many amazing authentic Korean dishes on their menu that I can't wait to try. I only wish I lived closer. Service--8/10. The young lady who was serving was very attentive. That being said my only thing lacking is it was only her and as several more people arrived, she was less able to attend to the customers. She was very nice, polite and served as quick as she could, but as I said more people came in as my meal progressed, and I would've liked to have been able to ask for a little more bibimbap sauce. Ambiance--8/10. The exterior of the building leaves a lot to be desired. It's a very small strip of shops with very limited parking. However, where the exterior is lacking the interior is pleasant, clean and inviting. All in all, I would be back over and over again if I lived in the area and if you're in Savannah and you like Asian food and you have not tried this, you are missing out.

On one side it is an "all you can eat" menu. On the other side, you order à la carte off of a regular menu. On the all-you-can-eat side, it appears you'll probably need a reservation, as it is quite popular. We did not have a reservation but didn't want all you can eat anyway, so we sat on the side with the regular menu. The menu is quite large, with a good variety of sushi and other dishes. We got there during happy hour, and they had some great deals on appetizers, certain types of sushi, and drinks. Every employee that we encountered was friendly and helpful. The presentation of the food was lovely, as you can see from the photos below, but overall, the food was just so-so. The sushi was good, but definitely not the best I've ever had. It wasn't terrible, just nothing to write home about. We ordered fried calamari as an appetizer and that was not great, compared to other restaurants. It was fairly thick and heavily battered (as far as calamari goes), and tasted as if the oil hadn't been changed in a while. We also ordered regular egg rolls, which were OK. As far as ambience, for some reason many restaurants play loud music that isn't suitable for dining (have they always done this and I just never noticed?), and this is one of them. Overall, I do feel that we received good food for the price, and again, all of the employees were stellar. We will probably try this location again.
