Food: Wasabi has amazing food! My fiancé and I eat here sometimes once a week! It's great prices. We love the hibachi and I love the sushi rolls! Service: The staff are so friendly and very quick. We have dined in and gotten Togo and we have never had any issues. Ambiance: I love the ambiance of Wasabi. It is a small restaurant, but I love the decor and mood lighting. I highly suggest trying Wasabi if you are ever in Pooler!

I came for dinner with a group of 6 and our experience was perfect. We were seated quickly and drinks brought out. I ordered the tempura & sushi combo and it was very good. The tempura was crisp and the sushi was fresh. This is the first time I have been to this location in about 10 years, but I will make sure I come here far more often.

    Sushi combo - yummy!

This is my new favorite sushi restaurant! The servers were very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Everyone's very friendly and the atmosphere was great. I really like sitting at the bar and the sushi was perfect!

My husband and I enjoyed our lunch experience at Wasabi Fusion! We were greeted right away and seated quickly. We ordered the Savannah Beach sushi roll and gyoza to start! We also ordered the teriyaki dishes that came with a soup and a salad! I got the shrimp and scallops and my husband got chicken and shrimp. Everything came out at once which we enjoyed! The food was delicious! The inside is small, but they have a lot of tables. We will definitely be coming back!

Great sushi restaurant. Selection is gigantic, served fresh and quick. The steak and fried rice combo was a great addition also.

Nice spot for a sushi dinner after work. A strip mall diner you might drive by but at least grab dinner to go! We started with the Martini salad, dumplings, and sake. Tha calamari was marinated nicely, so it was surprisingly tender. Among others, we had the Savannah Beach and Savannah Sunrise, Fresh ingredients, and they were very good. I wish they used real Wasabi instead of colored green horseradish. It is in your name, after all. The dessert was fantastic.Tiramisu and Keylime pie (cheesecake). The cook makes it fresh in-house.

Was in Pooler and stoped here. Not happy with the waitress we had at all. She was not friendly, and made us feel rushed to order our food. Appetizer we had the Fried softshell crab, it was really good. Wife had the Mexican Samuari, it was good until she found a hair in her food. My roll was good no hair. Lol. 50/50 if we will be back. 3 stars due to hair. It was also hot inside the restaurant. So take another star. Lol lucky the food was good. But the waitress sucked.

Overall a cute hole in the wall place, great service! Only think is I did not get my salad nor my meso soup. When I asked if it could be taken off the check, we were told it would not effect the price at all. The steak was AMAZING! I don't know how or what they cooked with, but it was amazing, juicy and tender!

Perfect every time! Their omg roll is my families favorite! They are so personable. Quiet little place off the beaten main path of Pooler!

Great sushi and service. Loads of options on the menu. It's a small place and very clean. I'm not a fan of the miso soup.

We walked halfway in and nothing and my husband had to walk directly to a waitress to ask if we seat ourselves. She pointed at the table and grabbed who would be our server. I guess we interrupted her conversation. Our server on the other hand was sweet, however, I had a hard time hearing what she was saying because her voice was so low. We did not have any qualms about our server. She was good. A lot of servers were openly on their phones, specifically the sushi chefs behind the counter. They would stare off into the distance or be on their phones until summoned to make a nigiri. It wasn't necessarily slow, there were quite a few patrons there. When we left there was a young girl at the enterance clearing off a seating chart and not a single person thanked us as we were exiting. Obviously you don't have to be Japanese to run a Japanese restaurant, but at least do the bare minimum of service that is uniquely Japanese. AMBIANCE 2/5: the set up and decorations felt all over the place, nothing was a cohesive design. It's as if they just went to Ross and found anything Asian inspired (not specifically Japanese) and purchased it. FOOD 3/5: it wasn't anything to write home about. I did enjoy the scallop nigiri but it was $6.50 for 2 pc. Presentation of nigiri was wild too, they put 2 nigiri on a 12 in platter lol it's as if they ran out of small plates? The grilled squid was what got our attention to come here and it was ok. It was grilled fine, just the way i like it. I did like that hint of ume or shiso they sprinkled in there but the dish also came at the end, after I've already eaten my entre. It was Iisted as a hot appetizer but came after the entre, so I ate it without any rice. The lava roll was very good and there was an abundance of imitation crab meat on top. The "angry dragon" roll was interesting because they used pink tofu skin, which i thought was unique. Flavorwise, not as spicy as the name insinuates. I did appreciate the water tasted smooth and not like faucet water. COST 2/5: obviously, prices are high everywhere now and on top of that this is a sushi restaurant. We paid $80 something inc tip for miso soup, 3 rolls and 1 grilled squid. I definitely feel it is a little pricey and I'm not willing to pay $40/person when the food is mid and service is subpar. Overall, I'd give this place a 2/5. There were a couple of enjoyable food items, but the lack of basic hospitality, scattered ambiance, awkward timing of dishes, and higher price point made the experience feel underwhelming. For about $40 per person, I expected more than mid-tier food and subpar service.

If you look at the signage, there is a deer. The exterior of the restaurant is very exciting with their displays of bubbles and the fake fish to make it look like a fish tank which is fitting for a seafood restaurant. When you go inside, you are immediately greeted, they also have very Japanese style gocha gocha machines in the back behind the counter. I'm not sure if they're functional or not, but it definitely added to the esthetic. They also had Crane machines to give it a Japanese game center vibe, but it was still rather cohesive. The decorations were great and the ambiance is great. There were kokeshi dolls, Japanese dolls, swords but all tastefully displayed. The setting was very exciting and very clean. Everyone wore uniforms, whether it be a embroidered yukata top or an apron. They looked very cute and very reminiscent of what you would come across in Japan. Service was excellent from beginning to end The food was delicious. Albeit, the selection is not as vast, but the quality was good. I've already accepted the fact that a lot of Japanese restaurants here are owned and operated by Chinese or Taiwanese people and they will have random non-Japanese food on the menu not traditionally served at a sushi restaurant, but you can see that this place definitely respected the culture and added a hint of theirs without straying far away from Japanese cuisine. We also had a very delicious sake that had grits of rice in it, and it was very interesting, very good, but also very strong. My husband and I had to share a bottle. I absolutely loved the kinako mochi with condensed milk. I never thought to put condensed milk on kinako so I would go for that again! My only negative about this place is the bathroom. Incredibly small and not as neat compared to the rest of the restaurant. I feel like the bill for 2 was quite fair considering the experience that we had and the food and service that we received. I will definitely recommend this place and I will definitely come again.

We ordered beef and broccoli, sweet-and-sour chicken, pan-fried noodles with beef, egg drop soup and sticky buns. The service itself was good: we were seated quickly, drinks came right away, and our server checked on us multiple times. No complaints there. That said, the food was where things fell short. The portions were noticeably smaller than the Savannah location. The beef in both the beef and broccoli and the pan-fried noodles was very chewy, which took away from the overall experience. The sweet-and-sour chicken was a bit overcooked and crunchy--still edible, but not great. The pan-fried noodles had good flavor, but again, the chewy beef was an issue. Initially, they brought me the wrong soup kind of debated me for a moment telling me it was the right one, but it wasn't. They correct the right one though after a longer conversation. The ambiance of the restaurant is very nice and clean. Lots of cherry blossom decorations on the ceiling make it feel warm. It was clean and did not smell bad. Our total came out to about $86 with tip, which isn't bad price-wise, but for the quality and portion size, it didn't feel worth it compared to the other location. Overall, it's okay, but definitely a step down. If I'm craving E Tang, I'd skip this Pooler spot and go back to the original Savannah location instead.
