Vegetable fried rice
Shvada T.

We were seated right away, the service was smooth, and the restaurant was very clean. As for the food..it was just okay. The vegetable fried rice needed more seasoning, so I had to add soy sauce to give it a little flavor boost. The General Tso's shrimp was actually really good and crispy with a nice kick of flavor. The chicken in garlic sauce, on the other hand, was just meh. It felt like something was missing. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but nothing that really stood out. We're not in a hurry to go back, but it was worth trying once.

Pork belly bun served 'eater-friendly' hot, fresh and delicious.

Excellent lunchtime experience with my wife, teenage grandson and out of town guests + an un-tried Asian restaurant recently reopened where a short lived seafood place once resided=an unbelievable "home run" in food variety, style, cleanliness and ambiance! (Etang deserves every accolade!!) At lunch, don't expect a 'Cheap-side' page of fast food type items, cheap. Instead, there is a wide variety of well thought out small plates, and full-size offerings. Small plates are about $9 per, and full plates are about $17-19. each. The big thing to understand is that all of the plates were shareable. While we each ordered items that caught our individual tastes, when shared on the big "lazy Susan" in the center of our table we all enjoyed the shared experience and had great food and a wonderful experience. The manager's name was Felix, and the service was on point without being intrusive. Recommend: orange peel chicken, fried pan dumplings, edamame, any of the bun offerings (shown is the pork belly bun) and more. With the volume and varieties of items enjoyed we left very happy, and with incredible flavors dancing in our mouths for about $15 per person including tip, and one order of Sake. Knock and a new, taste-door will open for you...thank me later!

Etang Asian Bistoro in Pooler is INCROYABLE! I'm a massive fan of their Hot Oil Wonton! This company has a few locations near by and this is my favorite as their interior is stunning. The ambiance is great for date night and birthday dinners. The service is nice and they have very hard working associates. Try their hot oil wonton and other dim sum options! I love their pork soup dumplings, despite not being much of a pork eater. It's the best one in comparison to their chicken soup dumpling.

Fried crispy fish. Amazing!

Absolutely a fine of a place with excellent food and service. We got the crispy spicey fish, snow pea tips, shrimp soup dumplings. All were tasty. Customer service was also really good.

I usually take pics of our food but this time the food came out quickly and was delicious and hot. Will go back!

Have you ever had a meal that was so yummy that you think of it the next day? That's my experience with ETang in Pooler. I've been to downtown's original location several time, but their new restaurant is much better (in my opinion). I got the garlic cucumbers-- delish! For an entree I had the cashew chicken. It was a nice sized portion. The sauce was super yummy. The service was great. The restaurant is done very well with lots of seating.

First time here with my dad after a round of golf and the food was delicious! And the service was TOPSHELF! I'll definitely stop again when I'm in town. My dad is a regular here so they came highly recommended.

On my initial visit, I was thoroughly impressed by the establishment's ambiance, which exuded a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The waiter was exceptionally friendly and attentive to our needs. The culinary offerings were exceptional, with a wide array of delectable dishes that presented a formidable challenge in selecting our meal. We had the Mongolian lamb, the shrimp soup dumplings, and the scallop with garlic sauce.

Delicious Peking Duck. This was 1/2 duck. It's definitely enough for 2 people.

The service is phenomenal. Food was delicious. This was my second visit and the meal was the best I've had anywhere in a while. Beautiful spacious decor. Very clean, pristine restaurant.

As soon as we arrived we were greeted immediately by a friendly staff member. The background piano gives off nice chill vibes. We ordered general tso chicken and fried dumplings. The general tso was so yummy!! Crispy and flavorful! Dumpling were good too. So excited to have them in Pooler!

I have heard really good things about Etang and was super excited to try the newest location in Pooler. I called ahead of time to confirm there hours and I was pleasantly greeted by Felix, he instantly explained the hours and when they stopped serving for the night; as the call ended he said they would be waiting for us and to drive safely. He was so sweet it made me want to dine in instead of my initial thought to do takeout. Upon arrival we were instantly greeted with a nice and warm welcome. The place is really nicely decorated and has a lot to offer on their menu. The egg drop soup could have used a little bit more flavor, but the vegetable spring rolls and salt and pepper shrimp were delicious. We really enjoyed our food.

It seemed like they skimped on the beef but there was plenty in there. It was a bit mild in flavor but truly enjoyable. The spring rolls were fabulous and really packed with pork and shrimp filling. Whenever I'm back in the area I will always be heading for Umami .

If you look at the signage, there is a deer. The exterior of the restaurant is very exciting with their displays of bubbles and the fake fish to make it look like a fish tank which is fitting for a seafood restaurant. When you go inside, you are immediately greeted, they also have very Japanese style gocha gocha machines in the back behind the counter. I'm not sure if they're functional or not, but it definitely added to the esthetic. They also had Crane machines to give it a Japanese game center vibe, but it was still rather cohesive. The decorations were great and the ambiance is great. There were kokeshi dolls, Japanese dolls, swords but all tastefully displayed. The setting was very exciting and very clean. Everyone wore uniforms, whether it be a embroidered yukata top or an apron. They looked very cute and very reminiscent of what you would come across in Japan. Service was excellent from beginning to end The food was delicious. Albeit, the selection is not as vast, but the quality was good. I've already accepted the fact that a lot of Japanese restaurants here are owned and operated by Chinese or Taiwanese people and they will have random non-Japanese food on the menu not traditionally served at a sushi restaurant, but you can see that this place definitely respected the culture and added a hint of theirs without straying far away from Japanese cuisine. We also had a very delicious sake that had grits of rice in it, and it was very interesting, very good, but also very strong. My husband and I had to share a bottle. I absolutely loved the kinako mochi with condensed milk. I never thought to put condensed milk on kinako so I would go for that again! My only negative about this place is the bathroom. Incredibly small and not as neat compared to the rest of the restaurant. I feel like the bill for 2 was quite fair considering the experience that we had and the food and service that we received. I will definitely recommend this place and I will definitely come again.

We kicked things off with the crispy chilli baby corn, and it was straight-up snack heaven. Crunchy, spicy, saucy -- basically everything you want in an appetizer. Washed it down with a mango lassi that was creamy and refreshing without being sugary sweet. Already winning at this point. But then... the kebab platter showed up. And I swear, it's one of the best kebabs I've had in a long time. So flavorful, juicy, perfectly cooked -- the kind of dish that makes you stop talking mid-sentence. We also tried their special biryani, and it hit all the right notes -- aromatic, tasty, and not greasy at all. Long story short: I now officially have a reason to come back to Pooler again, and it's spelled Naan Appetit.

We visited Naan Appetit for the first time last weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. There are a…read morecouple of notable things about Naan Appetit that I feel I must share because there is a similarly highly rated Indian restaurant within a stones throw away from Naan that it that also deserves comparison. I will review that restaurant under separate cover, but just know that when comparing this one to Persis, I would rate Naan Appetit as the better restaurant. But ultimately they are two different experiences within the Indian food category and for that reason are very hard to compare (more on that in the Persis review). But now let's talk about Naan Appetit. So what I really like about this restaurant is the value for the ambience and atmosphere. This is a very nicely appointed restaurant that I actually thought was a furniture store before we realized it was an actual restaurant. Very well appointed well designed and upscale in look, feel and function. Service is very strong with multiple servers and front of house greeting you immediately upon entry. We were seated within 3 to 5 minutes of walking in, and this was on a Friday night with a fairly full house. Once we were seated, our server immediately came over, provided us with menus and gave us a bit of information about the restaurant. We then proceed to ask a couple of questions about level of spice, and were really pleased with the servers descriptions of the various items on the menu and which ones we may or may not want to avoid depending on our spice level preference. I really appreciated the way the menu was set up which allowed for fairly easy decision making when it came to what we wanted to order. We went with mostly traditional entrees, ordering the lamb vindaloo, and the korma. Both were authentic and very well seasoned and spiced. We also ordered a couple of the garlic butter Naan bread, which were also really good. And lastly, we tried out the tandoori wings, which I had read on previous Yelp reviews were a highlight of the restaurant. When we first asked the server about them, he seemed a bit reluctant to recommend them because of the time it would take for them to be delivered to our table, which was approximately 30 minutes. We told him we weren't in a rush and didn't have anywhere else to be so we were totally fine with ordering them. It turns out that they ended up coming to the table before our appetizers even made it. So a bit of an overblown concern there. Outside of that little wrinkle, our overall experience was really pleasurable, especially given the sub $100 price point we paid including tip. This is definitely one of the restaurants we will be going to during our stay here in Savannah. And if I had to give the best advice on the difference between this restaurant and the other, I would say pick this for date night and pick the other one for family night.
