This place was very full at lunch time. The service was good. The price was ok. The food was good also. It's Chinese buffet. What can I say. We got there early enough that everything wasn't picked over. One thing I liked, the place a small amount of food in the serving tray. They kept filling it with hot, fresh food. Great idea. I think that's what they were doing. Anyway, warm food. The selection was good. Plenty of different chicken choices. The steak they had was very tender and tasty. My favorite. So, quick meal, cheap, that works for me. And you'll like it too.

This is a very decent buffet spot if your in the Rincon area. The waiters are very friendly and the ambience was very warm for dinner. The food is typical Chinese food. I think they could work on presentation a bit more cause some of the foods didn't look appetizing. They also we're down on the soda machine so only water was really available but she still asked what we wanted to drink as if the only chocies weren't sweet tea and water. You will get filled with food here, but not amazing quality food. Good enough to get you through the day. I've had better Chinese food.

This place is fantastic! My wife and I eat here about once a week. The food is always fresh and stays stocked. We went one time when they were close to closing and they cooked some extra egg rolls for us.

The billboard is a lie. This is a low end buffet. The food was kind of stale. Otherwise pretty typical.

Good assortment of food. Decent taste. Waitresses are friendly and quick. The place itself could use some sprucing it up, but it is clean.

The flavors are bold, comforting service, and feel like the real deal -- not your typical takeout. And let's talk about the double fried pork... because WOW. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, perfectly seasoned -- it's the kind of dish you start thinking about again the next day. Absolutely my favorite. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, and the food always comes out fresh and full of flavor. If you want authentic Chinese cuisine that actually delivers, Etang is it.

We ordered beef and broccoli, sweet-and-sour chicken, pan-fried noodles with beef, egg drop soup and sticky buns. The service itself was good: we were seated quickly, drinks came right away, and our server checked on us multiple times. No complaints there. That said, the food was where things fell short. The portions were noticeably smaller than the Savannah location. The beef in both the beef and broccoli and the pan-fried noodles was very chewy, which took away from the overall experience. The sweet-and-sour chicken was a bit overcooked and crunchy--still edible, but not great. The pan-fried noodles had good flavor, but again, the chewy beef was an issue. Initially, they brought me the wrong soup kind of debated me for a moment telling me it was the right one, but it wasn't. They correct the right one though after a longer conversation. The ambiance of the restaurant is very nice and clean. Lots of cherry blossom decorations on the ceiling make it feel warm. It was clean and did not smell bad. Our total came out to about $86 with tip, which isn't bad price-wise, but for the quality and portion size, it didn't feel worth it compared to the other location. Overall, it's okay, but definitely a step down. If I'm craving E Tang, I'd skip this Pooler spot and go back to the original Savannah location instead.

Hi Everyone, Ya,…read moreknow, maybe you don't feel like bagging your lunch today, or making diner tonight, but you've got to eat! What ever will you do? What type of food do you want to eat, now or later? Questions, questions, those nagging questions. Well we here, in the peanut gallery, may have a solution for you today. If you enjoy eating Sushi (Japanese cuisine, in which raw or cooked fish can be inserted into or be placed a top a rice roll with other ingredients). Now I thought that Sushi was ONLY raw fish (which I know you knew, but I didn't, lol), and Sushmi which I thought was actually only cooked fish inserted in, or a top a rice roll, with other ingredients, such as seaweed, cream cheese, imitation crab (I.e. pressed white fish) etc... But, bust my buttons, Sushmi is actually Hindu female name, not a name for Asian cusine, which means welcoming or pleasant, (which I know you knew, but I didn't, lol), but I digress, along with some other Chinese classics then we can highly recommend you visit AKOMEYA right here in Bluffton, SC. Why? Because my friends, their food entrees are actually very savory and delicious treats. Their ambiance is inviting, neat, and clean. Their Servers are friendly, personable, and helpful. Their prices are affordable, that's right, as in, most of us can actually afford to pay for them. For instance, they offer four lunch (ONLY) Chinese meals that are relatively healthy as prepared with a delicate balanced of ingredients that are tastebuds delight. And yes, Jethro, them there "viddles" will fill your belly and keep you a comin back for more helpins! But for how much? $10.00 per entree. Now that them their is an affordable price for lunch, even for Jethro da Bodeen. Their diner menu offers many delightful and tasty tantalizing entrees as well which we have also have enjoyed multiple times. So if you have a hankerin for some good viddles like our man Jethro, it's time to get on down to AKOMEYA and git sum. BTW, Akomeya is also a specialty rice shop with locations at many major train stations in Tokyo. Although rice is their main focus, they also offer an impressive selection of kitchen goods, condiments, and snacks--making it a must-visit for cooking enthusiasts or anyone in search of thoughtful, Japan-made gifts (which I know you knew, but I didn't ). Enjoy!

Never asked again. Then I asked for a glass of water and she didn't say a word. Just turned around and got it. Brought it back and just sat it down and walked away. We ordered two sushi rolls and she didn't bring utensils to eat it with. I had to find them for us. Then my wife wanted a little bowl for soy sauce. I had to go find it because our server was no where to be found. She had an attitude about anything we asked for. I'm not joking when I say it was the worst service I've ever had. Needless to say the tip wasn't what it should have been or could have been. Now the food? Awesome! I had the hot sand sour soup (one of the best I've ever had), we had two different sushi rolls. One was the Akomeyea roll and the other was some tuna roll I didn't eat. The chicken low mien was very good and plenty of it. I gave it 3 stars because the food was very good. If we ever decide to get dinner here again it would definitely be to go. No way would I eat in the restaurant again with service like that and as empty as the place was. I get why it was like that if all the service is like that.

We walked halfway in and nothing and my husband had to walk directly to a waitress to ask if we seat ourselves. She pointed at the table and grabbed who would be our server. I guess we interrupted her conversation. Our server on the other hand was sweet, however, I had a hard time hearing what she was saying because her voice was so low. We did not have any qualms about our server. She was good. A lot of servers were openly on their phones, specifically the sushi chefs behind the counter. They would stare off into the distance or be on their phones until summoned to make a nigiri. It wasn't necessarily slow, there were quite a few patrons there. When we left there was a young girl at the enterance clearing off a seating chart and not a single person thanked us as we were exiting. Obviously you don't have to be Japanese to run a Japanese restaurant, but at least do the bare minimum of service that is uniquely Japanese. AMBIANCE 2/5: the set up and decorations felt all over the place, nothing was a cohesive design. It's as if they just went to Ross and found anything Asian inspired (not specifically Japanese) and purchased it. FOOD 3/5: it wasn't anything to write home about. I did enjoy the scallop nigiri but it was $6.50 for 2 pc. Presentation of nigiri was wild too, they put 2 nigiri on a 12 in platter lol it's as if they ran out of small plates? The grilled squid was what got our attention to come here and it was ok. It was grilled fine, just the way i like it. I did like that hint of ume or shiso they sprinkled in there but the dish also came at the end, after I've already eaten my entre. It was Iisted as a hot appetizer but came after the entre, so I ate it without any rice. The lava roll was very good and there was an abundance of imitation crab meat on top. The "angry dragon" roll was interesting because they used pink tofu skin, which i thought was unique. Flavorwise, not as spicy as the name insinuates. I did appreciate the water tasted smooth and not like faucet water. COST 2/5: obviously, prices are high everywhere now and on top of that this is a sushi restaurant. We paid $80 something inc tip for miso soup, 3 rolls and 1 grilled squid. I definitely feel it is a little pricey and I'm not willing to pay $40/person when the food is mid and service is subpar. Overall, I'd give this place a 2/5. There were a couple of enjoyable food items, but the lack of basic hospitality, scattered ambiance, awkward timing of dishes, and higher price point made the experience feel underwhelming. For about $40 per person, I expected more than mid-tier food and subpar service.
