Definitely a take out only place. Limited seating. The hot and sour soup was very good. Lots of tofu and finely diced veggies. The egg rolls were good. I liked the beef Hunan better than the chicken. A lot of meat with both orders and vegetables. Pretty good food and quick service on the takeout.

The so-called, sweet and sour shrimp was disgusting. There were about six shrimp that where heavily battered and way over cooked that had no flavor sitting on top of a bed of fried rice, what the Hell ? All other chinese locations, and I'm talking about dozens at least, have ten to twelve boiled shrimp mixed with various vegetables in a wonderful sweet and sour sauce poured over a bed of pork fried rice, much like sweet and sour beef, or pork, very delicious, but not here. Madarin Wok's was so bad I ended peeling the hard brown coating off the shrimp, and eating them and the fried rice only. I will never visit this place again. The way I see it, they owe me a refund of $13 for that combo meal since the egg roll was way overcooked also, and very chewy and tasteless, and $8 for the lousy crabmeat rangoon. As far as the Crabmeat Rangoon goes, it was the worst & strangest, I have ever had. It did not resemble any I had been served at any of the other dozens of chinese resturaunts I have frequented. They were totally undercooked and way over filled with cream cheese that was extremely tasteless. A total rip-off for $8. I spent a total of $39 for two of us to eat and it sucked badly. Never again ! There are too many other chinese places in the Savannah that are excellent. Unfortunately, at the time I was on Skidaway Island, and this place was very conveniently located, so I went there. I am angry that they advertise and sell dishes that they have no idea how to prepare and cheat customers like me out of our money. Do yourselves a favor, drive a little further to get some good chinese food and get your monies worth.

The food was average. I ordered the sesame chicken. Meat was tough, not like normal Chinese tender chicken. The shrimp sauce was ok. Menu boards are faded and the prices are missing. The business has a small seating area and the take-out menu is pretty standard. Besides the good food, the most noticeable thing about the place would be the eclectic art. DH had Sesame Chicken (his 'go to') and I chose the Bourbon Chicken dinner combos. I noticed a steady stream of people come in this Friday evening. Happy Wok isn't local, but I have it bookmarked, just in case.

Our total was about $100, and we had food for days, so the portions are good (we could have ordered smalls and been fine). I'll start by saying this place truly is the egg rolls king- these are the best egg rolls I've had since moving down south and this is the closest Chinese takeout food to what I would have in Boston, delicious! They have small, large, and combo sizes for a lot of the options, and everything is customizable. They give plenty of sweet and sour and yum yum sauce, and tong of duck and soy sauce packets. We ordered lo mein, which was great, boneless spare ribs (not my fav/ but I appreciate a smaller sized spare ribs), Mongolian beef (a little too saucy, but yummy), a bunch of fried options inlcided in the pu pu platter (egg rolls, crab Rangoons, chicken wings, breaded chicken, and chicken on a stick) which were all good. The Singapore mei fun was really good! We never tried this before and we'll order again. It had some curry flavor to it, so I'd mostly get that on its own in stead of mixing and matching flavors. And you can't go wrong with general tso. Everything was reasonably priced. Definitely a top spot in the Savannah area!
