This amount looks a little huge. When I looked into the charge list, she put about $6 for water, and $16.99 for adult buffet. On price board on the wall at the entrance it is clearly labeled $15.99 for adult Friday dinner buffet. When I asked her about her water charge she said that she did not charge but this restaurant did. After I argued there should not be charge for water, she removed the water charge but refused to change the $16.99 to $15.99. One working lady came and I let her see the price board that displays $15.99 for Friday dinner buffet. She said "that is interesting question" and did not know how to solve the situation. Overall all the food had very good taste and flavor, we were so happy to be in Ms Queen's table area because she was fabulous! I think the waitstaff at the front drink area need to learn from her, we started there and they were very rude we moved and so happy we did. HOWEVER.... The sign on the door says no pets and there was a table that had a dog now the dog did not have on a vest that said it was a service pet. However, the lady was very adamant that the dog was her service pet, but the dog stayed with her son long story short come to find out. The lady was the manager's sister as great as that is. Everyone does not want to eat inside with an animal, and if the sign on the door specifically says no pets then that should apply to everyone not excluding family. The ambience was nothing special. It was a traditional buffet. I do appreciate how Miss Queen kept her floor area clean. I cannot thank Miss Queen enough for her time and attention, and she had a very busy area, but she was very attentive and should really train the other waitstaff on how to treat their tables Because she was phenomenal and really made this visit amazing!! read more

Unfortunately, I was unable to have a meal at home for Thanksgiving due to an ill family member and so we opted for Ole Tyme. I had been here several times before and even had takeout for past holidays and it was always good. I arrived before 2, in which they closed at 4 and there was barely any food available with tons of people filling up the place. Several workers made comments about not cooking anymore food because they were ready to go, which we heard after we had already paid. I understand everyone wants to be with their loved ones, but if you work for an established that is open on the holiday at least work it with pride. I have been there personally, so I know the feeling; but to charge people already going through things during the holidays and you barely provide is ridiculous. I am sorry, but I will not return. I went on a Sunday morning before the church crowd arrived which is about 1:30ish. This is the most expansive buffet I have ever experienced. Two tables of proteins. Two tables of salads and fruit. Big dessert selection. The meats and veggies feature southern fare well. Chitins, etc. The fried chicken was the highlight. Crispy golden and moist inside. Pintos, limas, white rice and gravy, green beans, collard greens, etc. My dining companion from New England was not familiar with all these southern foods. Relatives told me you can get some good seafood on Friday and Saturday so wifey and I took a road-trip with her cousins down to Savannah Ga. The ambience is a real country setting , down here you're always greeted as if you're family and the food also is like mama or grandma cooked it. The buffet has an abundance of selections to try collard greens cabbage turnips corn ,salad bars ,pasta bar, Mac and cheese,cheese grits, fried and grilled chicken, ribs , fish,shrimps clams ham,& so much more also all kinds of desserts. We were skeptical about visiting a cheap buffet on our vacation, but this place came so highly recommended from my cousin, we wanted to try it for giggles. This place is nothing to giggle at. The food is delicious and has all the southern staples you would expect. I mean, I would think someone's great grandma is in the back making all the dishes I loved as a child. So i came to savannah on a little pit stop and decided to stop by this good reviewing buffet. First off the water tasted like they got it from a sink with semi-clean dishes. I went to get a nicely grand spanking new clean fork and i was eating my macaroni and "cheese" and noticed a hair that wasn't any of my friends hair color because it was grey hair, which we are now scared to ingest any more food. My sister went to go get an ice cream from your soft serve, and she grab a cone and it had fell but she went to grab it and it didn't drop directly on the floor so she used it. The selection was excellent, the food quality was excellent, the place was clean, and the staff was fast and attentive. This was one of the best buffets I've ever visited. The food tasted awesome. I had some catfish, greens, corn, cornbread, blackberry cobler, and others. It was just epic. It more than satisfied my craving for Southern style cooking. If I'm in Savannah again, I'm visiting. Yes we go there, but we can't eat many veggies, cause pork is every veggie, we do not eat pork, when you put in every veggie, there is not a lot to eat, I don't understand why they can't leave pork out some the veggies.
