It's a good basic breakfast menu. Even though it's clearly not homemade we thought the corned beef hash was good. Hash browns too. The grits were excellent. The coffee was a good basic breakfast place coffee. Toast was nondescript. Enjoyed the cheeseburger omelette because we had to get it due to the concept. Not exactly a gourmet fluffy omelette but it was fine. We avoided the breakfast bar which didn't look great. Busy Place! read more

Went to enjoy some breakfast after St Paddy's Day. The service was professional and expeditious. The food was meh at best. Pancakes were hard and bland and the grits were soupy. Thankfully there was butter on the table to try to do something with, but in the end the meal was not special at all. I personally will not return. read more

Well, just walked out of this place. I went and I was told to seat myself which I did and Waited and Waited and Waited. Did not see any server on floor but I did see 5 workers at the counter eating. They were offering a breakfast buffet and I guess that means no service to customers. BTW the buffet looked disgusting! This was at 1:10 pm on a Saturday, they close at 2. I got tired of waiting with no service, so I left! What a waste! read more

Above average diner style restaurant with good service and good food. I stopped in twice for breakfast and both times my food was very good and flavorful. The staff was friendly and attentive, even though they were very busy. Both times, the place was packed. My order was still ready in under 10 minutes and cooked fresh in front of me. Will definitely visit again when back in the area. read more

One of my Savannah favorites. The staff are friendly, the service is quick and the food is hearty stuff that I like! I usually go on the weekends for the breakfast buffet. Eggs, hash browns, sausage, a biscuit and gravy are my usual choices with a cup of piping hot coffee (not a bad idea for anyone since it's usually cold in here!) They have bacon, link sausages, pancakes, grits, corned beef, orange wedges, cantaloupe and honeydew melon, among other items. They also offer a la carte orders. It's good food at very fair prices. read more

We always go for their breakfast and it's always so good!!! Everything is good but today I had a bacon cheeseburger omelette and it melted in my mouth!! I ordered their hash browns today but their grits are always done right as well! Super friendly service, always with a smile and food comes out quick and hot just like it should. Big portions too...we always have some leftovers for our fur babies at home. read more

Went here for breakfast this morning. The western omelette was good and had plenty of ham and veggies. I asked for fruit instead of hash browns or grits and they charged me $6...that was the only negative. It was very busy on a Saturday morning but most seemed to be getting the buffet so food came out really quick. This is a neighborhood diner, don't go for the ambiance or the experience. No frills place. Friendly customer service. Reasonable prices. I had the short stack of buttermilk pancakes. They were decent. The server recommended the buttermilk waffles with pecans but I decided to get the buttermilk pancakes instead. Next time I go back I would definitely try the buttermilk waffles made with pecans or either the pancakes with pecans. read more

My boyfriend and I loved this place, not sure why the reviews are so low! It's just your simple, run of the mill breakfast place, but it's homey and quaint. We had excellent service, refills were on point, and there were butter, syrup and jam on every table. We came on the weekend and were able to take advantage of the buffet (like 9$, not bad!). I mean endless eggs, grits, bacon, and sausage!? sign me up. The watermelon, cantaloupe, and honeydew were delicious as well, perfectly ripe. It was pretty busy, but not too much! It would be a great place to take a group or your family. The employees were super nice and attentive as well. :) Will return!! read more

Very good low cost breakfast. They have the normal breakfast fair. Most everyone love the grits, eggs, and bacon. The pecan pancakes were a big hit. Blueberry was also sampled and received a passing grade. The restaurant was clean and the service was very friendly. Overall a good experience. read more

This place was recommended to us and we are sure glad it was. I asked for crispy hashbrowns they were cooked perfectly. My husband asked for medium over-easy eggs they were cooked just like he expected which is rare. We are moving to the area and found our breakfast spot. read more

Actually, a two and a half star experience. Shrimp and grits were very good, bacon cooked just right. Service fast and friendly. HOWEVER...this is a breakfast restaurant. There are several staples of a breakfast place that have to be perfect, and they're not even approaching good. Good Lord, people, your coffee needs to be beyond reproach - not some dirty water flavored with tobacco. Echhh. Spend $500 on a commercial grade machine, invest in some decent quality beans, and they will come. At 1.85, they must be making a killing with their current coffee set up of a toothless nonagenarian chewing Skoal and drooling into a spittoon. Second, put some butter on the table. There's noting worse than trying to enjoy really well made buttermilk pancakes and having to smear a synthetic material made by US Industrial Foods, Inc. My 10 year old spotted it immediately. He tore the lid off the container and asked if the butter was spoiled. I said "no," hoping he wouldn't catch on. He examined it more closely, then sniffed it. Wrinkling up his nose as though he just smelled a fart, he asked, "is this even butter?" No, son, it's not. read more

I thought this place had a certain southern feel to it. I hate breakfast food & southern food for that matter so I got grilled cheese and pickles instead. We had a big group with us and they sat us in the back room which was pretty nice. Everyone enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and the food. The service was slow and they were out of apple juice but it was pretty busy so I won't hold it against them. This place was packed. We visited on a Saturday morning and had to wait a few minutes for a table. Once seated, our server was attentive and kept our coffee and drinks filled. We went for the buffet and the food was hot and they kept the bins filled, but, it wasn't too tasty. Several mystery meat nuggets to choose from along with tons of bacon and sausage (links and patties). We've got a teenage son with a bottomless pit for a stomach so well probably take him back, but overall, just a cheap breakfast buffet. read more

Hidden gem! Found on our last day in area when looking for a Waffle House. The food simple but very good. After placing our order food was there in less than five minutes! Multiple cooks helped with the Sunday rush. Only thing is it a small place an during rush they aren't fast with flipping tables. read more

We spent the weekend out at Tybee and stopped here for breakfast on Sunday on our way back to Charleston. It was just what we were looking for: classic, homey, diner food. On Sunday they had a large buffet but you could also order from their regular menu. The buffet had a lot of variety and delicious items as long as you're not on a diet or watching what you're eating! Be prepared for a wait, but since most people were eating from the buffet the line moved quickly. We'd return if we're ever back in the area. read more

This place has a great all you can eat breakfast buffet on the weekends and holidays. The place is not large and maybe can seat about 30-40 people at a time. But the food is worth the wait. They offered pancakes, biscuits, cornbeef hash, sausage, bacon, eggs, fruits...etc. The place has no t.v. or music playing so its gives opportunity to spark great conversation at the table with no distraction. The bathroom is surprisingly large. The staff is also large. Alot of people working in sync towards one common goal. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because I had front row seats to a dispute between co-workers; a young man and an older women arguing over a pancake order getting messed up. The older lady let it go but I the young guy was loud in arrogant with his defense. Felt like he should have showed more respect towards his elders. Or at least make sure customers don't see and hear it. read more

The seafood omelette is the best thing here. The decor and service sucks. It's the same at the Tybee location too. It's always packed because there aren't many other breakfast options besides Lilis and Blakes which are better. When you are used to great breakfast chains like Firstwatch, Another Broken Egg, and Egg Harbor this place is definitely below standards! read more

Every time my husband and I have been here we always see the servers eating at tables and the restaurant is packed. We have to ask to get our waters refilled (we get the Buffett on Sundays) the server doesn't do anything but fill drinks and it takes forever to get that done. Today a cook was eating by the cook tops with her gloves on and then went right back to preparing food... Not going back. I will drive farther for breakfast before I go back. The shrimp delight omelet is out of this world. Every time we are in Savannah we stop at the Sunrise for breakfast. It is much better than the Breakfast Club on Tybee. Sunrise also has a great buffet! read more
