We were pleasantly surprised when we came to eat here. We tried to go to Hong Kong buffet, but it's closed on Tuesdays. Still craving Chinese, we opted for China Delight since they have a small buffet. The food was typical American style Chinese food, nothing too special. There are less options than Hong Kong, but each item is pretty good. It's like the small batches make for more quality items. The place could use a deep clean an a renovation, since it's small and there's a buffet the inside get warm pretty quickly and you leave smelling like yummy food items. Truly surprised this location is still open. Whenever I go in there, it's usually for take out, and their dining area might have one or two tables. Their "Buffett " is short and limited. My last to go order was peanut butter chicken, which is the only reason I go here and usually is top notch, this time the rice tasted dirty and had a funky odor. I ordered take out online. Fried rice was dried out. Egg Fu Yung had a funky filler (starch?) that made it almost unedible. I ordered online and the prices were higher than the menu and then in addition my credit card was charged more than what was on my receipt in my email (not much). I contacted the credit card company and they said I had to go back to the restaurant to dispute the charge, but this was way too much trouble to drive all the way over there and get a "refund" (it would cost me more in gas to get there). Buffet food everything is fresh and made in small amounts with constant small batches being made to replenish. Regular menu items are also great when you get them to go! The owner is very friendly and works up front and also monitors the buffet, very friendly staff and very considerate of customers. There was an item at the buffet I loved and asked the name of so I could order it to go in the future. The owner said it's not a normal menu item but if I call in and special request it and give them time they will cook it special order for me, really above and beyond service! Was here at 6pm last Friday. Busy place! They were low on variety of dishes on the Chinese buffet due to a rush of early diners, so I ordered from the menu instead. So I really wanted to get some Chinese Food. I saw this place was finally open, so I decided to go there and pickup takeout. I went home and opened the bag pulled my General Tso's chicken/Fried rice and springroll out, and then went to go watch some Naruto and eat it. First I decided to try eating the springroll, but as soon as I touched the bag I knew something was up. The roll was soggy and really slimy, and the inside was cold. Only ate like half of it. I thought this wasn't a big deal since it was a small portion of the meal. Then I went on to the main course the General Tso's. The chicken was not good. It barely had any flavor, and for some reason it tasted like it was simmering with some fish. Alot of General Tso's I have had in the past, also had a little bit of spice. This barely even tasted like sweet and sour. I could have overlooked the lack of flavor if it wasn't for the weird fishy taste. I would say the chicken is okay, I still ate it, but it is barely even passable. Lets get on to the last part, the Fried Rice. Now the rice was good, but it lacked any flavor. It wasn't dry though, which is a good thing. Overall this meal wasn't completely enjoyable. I still ate most of it due to the fact I was hungry, but lets say I wasn't hungry I would have thrown it in the trash. Probably never eating at this place again. read more
