So good. Appetizer was crab wontons, super good! I got Teriyaki chicken and fried rice. I would recommend. Not too busy on a Friday night, didn't have to wait long for food

What a disaster. 2 orders of Chicken teriyaki with veggies and fried rice one with soup one with salad. Crab Rangoon Egg Rolls 2 sushi rolls For takeout. They said it would be ready in 30-min, we got there at 35-min and had to wait forever. Got home... no soup, no salad. Chicken was overcooked, dry as dirt, no flavor. Rice was not fried Veggies ... no veggies just soggy ass cabbage. Egg rolls were actually soggy Crab Rangoon were inedible. Tried to call... two hang ups and a 30-minute hold later. Never again.

The sushi was on point. The food is fresh and it's always busy. In town for vacation with a friend and it was worth the trip to this little gem. They have the best seaweed I've ever had. They have a few vegan options.

Good, but not great. I really enjoy sushi, and I was looking forward to trying out this place. My first impression suffered when the shumai I ordered as an appetizer was not brought out before my meal. Add to that a very salty (in my opinion) mushroom soup and an unexceptional salad. The Mega Power Booster lunch tray I ordered was actually pretty good. I gave the waitress credit (and a larger than normal tip) for comping the shumai and for being extremely accommodating to a grouch of a customer who knocked over a table when he came in. Rude! I'll go back, in hopes that my next experience will be better. It would be nice to have a good sushi go to spot here on the island.

Unique, extra fancy rainbow roll.... the sushi is great and the fried rice is off the chain! The chef special was also phenomenal. Service was swift and friendly. Tokyo Rose (wine and cold saki blend) was interesting. I ordered two and walked out feeling like a rockstar. I will definitely be back for the food. The ambiance isn't anything to rave about but the food is so good that it didn't matter. Hole is the wall sushi joint that is small and nothing to rave about until you order the sushi. They will create anything you want as well. I told the sushi chef what my favs were previously in other sushi places and he created me a roll that was to die for. Salmon, eel, seaweed salad, cucumber inside, spicy tuna and smoked salmon with Caviar and roe with crunch and sesame seed oil drizzle. Oh God I'm going to need a hand truck to roll me out of here.

    I added the pepper.

We had their crispy spicy tuna appetizer with crispy square rice on the bottom and they were so good. For the main entree I ordered their butabara kimchi ramen and it was what I needed, the broth was rich, savory, and the kimchi really brings the broth flavor more dimensional. The ramen noodle texture was cooked to perfection and the pork belly paired so well in this ramen. My husband ordered the A5 wagyu rib eye and the steak melt in your mouth. We sprinkle the sea salt and dipped it in the quail yolk dashi juice and it was perfection! It is definitely a gem restaurant for Savannah! Truly amazing food experience!

There's a great selections of Japanese Whiskey, Sake and cocktails. We had a reservation and when we entered it was a bit confusing with people all over the place in the entrance not sure whether waiting to speak to the hostess or just casually waiting to be called for their table. After getting sorted we spoke to the hostess and then were shortly seated. The waiter came and took our drink orders right away. We got 2 cokes and a Whiskey Sour with Japanese Whiskey. After waiting about 15 min the waiter came back to take our food order, however we still had not gotten our drinks. We asked and said they were coming swiftly. Finally after 10 minutes later our drink orders came in. The cokes were flat but the Whiskey Sour was really good. I can't remember the waiters name but honestly she came by maybe 4 times the whole night and did not have the best attitude. The best thing about Ukiyo hands down was the food. Everything from the Ramen to the wagyu bao buns, just Wow. The wagyu was so crispy and just melted in your mouth. The ramen had amazing flavor profiles and was perfectly spiced. We also ordered the Chicken Karaage and this was so tender with the citrus mayo. This was also pretty big so were easily filled with all these dishes. The food and cocktails were amazing but the service really did disappoint from the delays and infrequent interactions.

I was genuinely excited when Sakyura opened. It's always great to have another restaurant nearby,…read moreand during our first few visits, the food seemed promising. My husband especially enjoys the sushi--it's fresh, nicely presented, and has been consistently good. The gyoza is also decent: crispy on the outside, flavorful on the inside. And the noodle dish I've had several times is good. That said, our more recent visits have been disappointing overall. I ordered the pho tonight, and while it had a ton of noodles, the broth was almost completely lacking in flavor and there was barely enough of it to call it soup. Pho should be rich and aromatic, and this just didn't hit the mark. Took a few bites and called it. I've also had issues with the chicken in other dishes--it has a very odd, almost rubbery texture that makes it hard to enjoy. We've tried the bento boxes too, and while they look appealing, the meat isn't cooked in the sauce--it's just spooned on top, which leaves the dish feeling disjointed and almost like a microwave dinner feel. Service is another area where the experience falls short. Even when the restaurant isn't busy, the staff tends to be distracted and not very attentive. They're not unfriendly, just not especially engaged or warm, which affects the overall atmosphere. There are definitely some highlights on the menu, and I still think this place has potential if they can improve the consistency and refine the service. For now, Sakyura is a hit-or-miss experience--but we're still hoping it turns into the neighborhood gem we were excited about in the beginning.
