Alright so after this spicy beef lo mein I'm giving them 5-Stars!!! I've had lo mein in Savannah and the South way more than a few times and was disappointed almost every time. But, whoever was on the wok tonight 1.8.2023 and made this order around 7 maybe 7:15 you are amazing. The beef was tender and flavorful, the noodles were cooked perfectly, the seasoning of the sauce was the best I've probably ever had and they hit the spice level right on the nose!! Happy China II is a pit stop for when you are in a pinch, need food fast and cheap, and don't want to spend a lot of money because you are not sure if you really want Chinese food or not then I would say this restaurant is that place. The service was friendly and fast. I ordered the shrimp fried rice and the chicken wings. I wings were fried well. The friend rice has quite a few shrimp in it, but it was not as flavorful as I would have expected. There seemed to be something missing and I couldn't figure out exactly what spice I would have liked to have on my taste buds other than salt and pepper. I guess I expected more in terms of a flavorful explosion. I wonder what some Chinese five spice powder would have done to that rice and those wings....hmmm But again, I can't complain much at all because they served enough food that was well worth the price. Another thing I would say about this place is that you definitely want to make sure you are on alert visiting this place. Do not let your guard down because you are deep down on the Eastside of Savannah near some dicey and dodgy neighborhoods so be careful! I may go here again one day. After a long day of travel, I was craving Chinese but the last thing I wanted to do was travel to go get it. Luckily Happy China had online ordering and delivery so I placed my order. I loved the online ordering system; easy to use and you get a confirmation of your order being placed. Estimated delivery time was an hour but it we actually delivered quicker than that. Worst customer service ever. My food was an hour late and then the delivery driver had the nerve to yell at me over the phone. I called when my food was 30 minutes late and was told my address was "too far away". I am literally 0.5 miles away. But being verbally assaulted by their delivery driver was TOO much. Don't let the rough part of town fool you, The freshest ingredients and huge chunks of chicken keep me coming back, the rice is so well made and did I mention the Orange chicken!! Yummy, quick delivery! We've all had those days. I came home from work, exhausted, starving, and just not in the mood to cook. I start scrolling through Yelp for yummy delivery options. There's the regular pizza places, but somehow I didn't know there was a Chinese place close enough for delivery. And it has good reviews, too? Yelp for the win! My boyfriend and I ordered the pint sizes of the sesame chicken, the General Tso's chicken, and the appetizer of crab rangoons. Even with the delivery fee, the total cost was less than $25. We were able to order online, and it said the food would be delivered in about an hour. 30 minutes later, we heard the knock on the door. Woah! Talk about fast delivery! We had enough food to feed a family of five. Seriously, there were 10 large crab rangoons in an appetizer order and the pint sized chicken entrees came in huge to-go boxes with a massive amount of fried rice. We definitely could've split an entree, but we had plenty of leftovers! The food was pretty standard delivery Chinese food, but it was fresh and flavorful. And I didn't have to cook! We have their menu on our fridge, and I'm sure we will order from Happy China II again soon! read more

This place was in a rough looking part of town. But that added to its character. When I walked in topick up my order, the chef had the General Pso chicken cooking up in a wok. It was nice to see the kitchen and cooking utensils because the place was clean! Can't say that about any hole in the wall! We were very pleased with what we ordered and both felt as if it was one of the best Chinese restaurants we have had. read more

Excellent sweet and sour chicken. Sauce on the side was a wonderful touch. Cream cheese and crab wontons, not so good.

Quick delivery and the price was good. We ordered a veritable buffet from here and there wasn't anything that we didn't like. Only issue was that we received no packets of soy sauce, mustard, and such. In town in a rental, and miraculously there was that stuff in the cabinets, so we were good. Our family is staying here on vacation and wanted an early night in with some take out. This place was the closest to our rental and they deliver so we were decided. My in-laws shared the shrimp curry, my husband had roast pork fried rice and I had the Mongolian beef combo. All of us were pleasantly surprised at how good everyone's meals were. Wonton soup: good Egg Roll: a little salty, but ok General Tso's Chicken: Good Fried chx wings: don't know yet! We're full! Lol Overall, it was good. Large, reasonably priced, portions. I called and ordered food at 6'oclock. An hour later the driver shows up with the wrong food. Not only was the order wrong, but my credit card was over charged. 8 o'clock the driver finally showed back up with a corrected receipt. The owner offered no apology, no consideration. Instead, he laughed on the phone, thinking the whole situation was funny. I will NEVER order from this place again, and when I told the owner this his response was, "okay." Customer Service goes a long way and this place has never heard of it. Run far far away! read more

Today we ordered from here for the first time! We were a little nervous to try somewhere new, but it's the first place we've heard of that delivers near us! When we called to place our order the man on the phone was SO NICE! He was super friendly and helpful! The delivery was super fast and the driver was super nice too! Having recently moved back to the neighborhood I was surprised to see this is the same Chinese restaurant that my parents ordered from over 15 years ago. (I'm sure under new management) But either way the food was great and you get a lot of it! We ordered very late about 15 mins before close and they had no problem at all delivering it to our house. She was a little funny being a sketch neighborhood she wouldn't get out her car BUT I do not blame her. Only negative: no chopstick or spicy mustard in the bag. However I didn't request any either. So if you like those condiments make sure you ask for them. Other than that I can't wait to order from there again. read more

Delivery is awful. Took 2+ hours for food to be delivered to my apartment. Granted, I accidentally gave the wrong address, however, I called and corrected my address, gave directions on how to get there, and gave landmarks that were around me, and the delivery driver was very incompetent. He did not know where anything was in the city, and he had me walk in the pouring rain to meet him, because he did not know where I was. (I was on BROUGHTON street. The easiest street to find in Savannah.) The food was not great either. It was fine, but out of all the chinese places I've eaten at, was probably the worst one. The food was cold when arrived, and the restaurant was closed by the time we got our food, so we couldn't even call to complain about the terrible service. Great food, great service, fast delivery! The food is great and you get lots of it! I have been ordering from here for about 7 or 8 years. The house lo mein and egg drop soup are my favorites, they also have really good sesame chicken and general tso's chicken.
