Great food. When it's busy get ready for a helluva long wait, which is pretty usual in the hamptons. Great hot bread at the table, garlic knots, generous amount of butter. Drinks are nicely sized. We ordered: 16 oz prime rib (ordered medium, came out a little on the well side, but was still great), son had this great lobster pasta dish with generous amounts of whole lobster pieces , and daughter had linguini with white clam sauce . The linguini with white clam was prepared with a lot of red pepper flakes; I didn't know they put red pepper flakes in white clam sauce, (apparently the waitress didn't know either. ) Anyway, brought it to the busboy's attention, and he was gracious, apologized it wasn't right, took off into the kitchen and was back quickly with another lobster pasta dish. We have been going to Edgewater for YEARS and have always had great food in a beautiful atmosphere. My favorite app is the duck & Farro salad. All of the food is fresh. Drinks are great. My kids love it too. The portions are generous and the price is fair (especially for the Hamptons) The service is great. This is our go to place and ordering take out is another great option. So so disappointed... I was there for drinks and dinner and hoping to have a great experience and find a new spot. The drinks came and I was immediately disappointed. The menu said muddled berries. Well, Im not sure what that was but def not muddled berried as there were none in the drink. It was my mistake not to return it. The appetizer was just ok, meatballs and burrata with just a sliver of burrata (seriously). Then my meal came and it looked like when you go to a bad catering hall and they made that a week before and it was in the back of the fridge- veal saltimbocca - just awful and cold to boot! So I returned that and got the Veal Milanese. My husband and I had stomach problems immediately but I suffered for 24 hours! Stomach went crazy and have been sick. Oh man...never again! read more

Stopped in after a few hours at Cowfish down the road. Great local place to have a good craft beer, or a tasty cocktail before a very satisfying meal. Bartenders are pleasant and the wait staff was very nice and helpful too. I had the Striped Bass and it was excellent and my girlfriend had a pasta dish which I forgot the name of, which she said was very good also!Be forewarned this place gets crowded fast! It opens at 5pm and there is already a waiting line and list! We tried to get a reservation by phone but I think reservations are only for parties of 5 or over. The place has a very nice view of the Shinnecock Bay- if you're patient and can wait a few extra minutes, grab a seat on the outside porch-it'll be worth it! If memory serves me correctly years back this was Jeremy's Ale House, spent a wonderful Summer coming here- alas it was only open fir 1 year-it was nice to come back to a friendly place, good food and that view- many good years ahead to Edgewater!!! read more

Your 1st impression is the horrible garlic knots the put on a table?? Italian restaurant or pizzeria?? Maybe get some bread?our table was large so we ordered many apps and all got a different entree it one was great good at best! The seafood pasta dish covered grated cheese! Standard rule no cheese on seafood dish and if it does go on should be by the person eating it!! Long time restaurant people not knowing basics! Can't believe this place doesn't have 5 stars. I have to eat here every time I visit which is about every two yrs. everything is delicious. The staff is on top of it. They work like a well oiled machine. No matter what your in the mood for they have it or they'll make it. There not one of those pretentious places that doesn't fray from the menu. Even the kids menu is impressive. And you won't pay through the nose. Prices are very reasonable. I've been eating here for probably close to 15 yrs and hope I can continue to go for another 15. read more

Might be my favorite restaurant in Hampton Bays, and considering the competition, that's saying alot. Really pretty place, nice gardens and pond, great outdoor deck with good views, and beautiful inside. Parking happens to be tough, not a very big lot, especially on busy nights. The staff is outstanding, even when the place is mobbed, they really seem to give their best. Food is superb, doesn't seem to be a bad choice from the specials to their pizzas and paninis, have yet to order something there i haven't liked. Food is really good, but ... Parking is very difficult Place is always very crowded all the time and acoustics are terrible unless you're eating out on the deck, but that's sits over the parking lot. If you order the meatballs, take a hammer and chisel with you, because that's what it will take to cut through them. Maybe it was because of the time of day, but the moment the owner/manager came around and said goodbye, the kitchen and waitstaff whipped out their phones and called their unruly/unwashed friends, and then took over the bar (free drinks for all, except the paying customers, who were overcharged). The majority of my low rating is due to the fact that we had a 8:15 reservation for 12 people, one of whom was pregnant and another on crutches, and weren't seated until 8:55. Not only did we have to wait in the tiny entrance, but we also were not even apologized to. The least they could have done after we waited for 40 min is give us a free dessert! We even asked to speak to the manager or owner and nobody ever came over. The food was ok, service once we sat down was pretty good, but overall the experience was a bad one. Seems like they need to better train their hostess's on how to handle certain situations. read more

Went to dinner a month ago for my friends birthday. I had ordered a salad that had crab on it. I'm a pescatarian and do not eat meat. The menu never stated that there was bacon on the salad. When the salad I ordered got brought to my table, it had bacon sprinkled all over it. I don't typically send food back, however I could not eat it due to the fact there was bacon In it. The waiter seemed a bit annoyed, but agreed to bring me back a new salad. Once receiving the new salad 20 min later when the rest of the table was finished with their meals, I looked at the food and there was STILL bacon in it. They just took some of the bacon off the crabmeat salad. The waiter told me there was no bacon on it, and I needed to physically show him there was still some on it. I did not order another meal from that point due to the Fact the kitchen staff couldn't spend an additional 5 minutes to put new lettuce on a place with a spoonful of crabmeat, they decided to take the lazy way out. Unfortunately, I will never be returning and will continue to preach my poor experience to many clients I have In the Hamptons to never dine here again. read more

This place is simply outstanding- price, portion, product and presentation of the food here offers amazing price value - this is a family run business that continues to exceed itself year after year (if that's even possible to be any better than they already are). We've been going here 15+/- years and this place is owned by people absolutely dedicated to being great. This is a "Hamptons Best" restaurant! Drive any distance to dine here. Tip- there isn't a bad table table in the entire place, but on a nice evening sit out on the patio- (you may have to wait) but it offers large spacious, spread out tables, offering privacy and perched high up overlooking the bay- just perfect- very hard to leave once you sit down- sit and enjoy some awesome cocktails- and of course the drinks are generous and the prices low! read more

The appetizer was cold and tasteless. New waitress didn't know what to say. Entree fine. Bread old and dry. Then dessert. Omg . Freaking RAW CREPE DOUGH. Waitress was telling me" I'm sorry. " , management then reduced bill by taking drinks off. Not the point. Who serves RAW DOUGH? We will never return, disappointed. Was our fav place. They need to review and revamp restaurant. Beautiful. The scenery was fantastic, seating over looked the water and the place is very spacious. The staff was very warming and pleasant. We went with a party of 15 and there was more than enough room for all of us. The food was delicious and the drinks were great too. For the birthday girl a complimentary slice of lava cake and ice cream was given. The menu has an array of food and the waiter was very knowledgable of the items.
