However try and reschedule or cancell a visit you get over seas people and they will not listen to you they keep rambling on and they lock you into a contract for either 4 or 5 visits at $179 a visit and if you don't do all 4 or5 they bill you $300 in a cancellation fee . And the price can go all the way down to $100 per visit after I told them I was done and my contract was up ,and they were automatically trying to send a guy to my house and I went thru hell talking to them to tell them I'm done and do not send another guy out here. would definitely not recommend them to pricey and the contract and trying to deal with their inside sales reps ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Was told by a traveling salesperson that they could solve our ant but mostly spider problem. Did the first 2 services which they said needed to be done to remove the living pests along with the eggs but shortly after the second treatment the spiders were all over the house and the deck in the backyard. Follow-up treatment did not do anything to help either. Technicians did not seem to know what to do when coming to house and instead of investigating the area just asked us what we wanted and were not satisfied with "we have seen spiders everywhere along the outside of the house and inside the house". My wife and I assumed that since they are the professional service they would know what to look for and where to treat, not us. Overall very unsatisfied with company and would highly recommend looking elsewhere for pest control solutions. read more

My doorbell rang and when I answered this guy with a blue EcoShield name shirt asks me if I know my next door neighbor (name) and that they are there for bug spraying. I have a large "NO SOLICITORS" sign right above the doorbell. I point out the sign and tell him the town has a law about ringing doorbells with these signs. He says "I know." Further the town laws also stipulate that solicitors must register AND wear an identification badge which he was not. So now I know that my neighbors have an insect infestation and this guy is spreading it around the neighborhood. Sleazy company, would NEVER do business with them. Don't let the bad reviews scare you. EcoShield is a great pest control company. They sealed up an opening that mice were getting in and I haven't seen any mice since! No other pest issues since working with them either. The customer service (particularly the local office) is top notch as well. Just an update here - although the comment responses claim that they take feedback seriously, this person who requests emails ultimately just regurgitates the same argument as those in the call centers - that you "agreed to the terms and conditions" and there is nothing they can do about refunding past failed services or their cancellation fee (even when canceling with due cause). Do not get trapped by the door-to-door salesman and contract; pay for the spot service, and be done with the scam. Wow! The pest control inspector who covers Northern Illinois tried to scare my wife into signing a monster contract to remove mice that our house does not have. When I called for an update, he refused to talk or come back to review his findings. His findings were to get my wife to sign off on a contract of $3k per year. I was away from the house on his visit, a visit to fill outdoor bait traps, and turned inspection out to do an inside and outside one. I called the main office and found out that the one-year contract I agreed to was moved to a two-year contract. Upon asking for another inspection, they said no, we do not offer another inspection. The Inspector said we had a glaring issue outside our home that mice could enter and a major indoor mouse problem with fresh droppings. How do you know they're fresh? Did he do a smoosh test? Were they shiny or hard? Word to the wise, schedule Terminix that gives a free inspection before committing - https://www.terminix.com/ I set up 20 snap traps along with sticky traps, and three weeks later, nothing came out, not even a false positive. Here I am, stuck with two more treatments for ants, and they still have not baited the outdoor mouse traps. I tried to get out of the contract, but the Philippines call center does not go off script, and it's more expensive to get off than stay on. Lucky for me, they did adjust the one-year turned two-year contract back to one year if that's the silver lining. As far as the outdoor issue? I need to chalk an electric line that was installed last year for the electric car and rechalk around the dryer vents and the line for the gas that the gas company installed two years ago, other than that, the house is buttoned up. I have done over 100 reviews, and I removed most, if not all, based on threats that a business does not want fair reviews of services offered or restaurants visited. This is a complete scam. They send a high school kid to spray water around your backyard and charge you $200. You see no improvements, and when you want to cancel, there is an enormously high cancellation fee of $500, so you have to fulfill the full year. I was told I would be obligated for 4 services and I could cancel after the forth. This is where things get messy. Again, work was done and paid for but the cancellation is a different story. I attempted to cancel over a month prior to what would have been my next service. A $200 fee was applied because I didn't agree to a fifth service. I assume it was for the "discount" they gave me per month prorated at the original agreement. I fulfilled my obligation but they disagreed and let me know this will negatively effect my credit. Sure. Services were marginal at best. They will knock down a cobweb and throw some powder on the ground - about 5-10 minutes of work. This company is a total Door to Door SCAM!!! The people (not service providers) came and did nothing. The professionalism was non-existent walking through my home in dried muddy boots without putting on shoe covers. Even though they were here less than 15 minutes, you don't walk in my house with visibly dirty shoes. I called back in July 2025 to cancel my account and was informed that I have a free follow up visit in September 2025. Rep advised I wait until after Sept visit to call back and cancel my account. i received a msg 09/25/25 that my next visit will be on 10/1/25 in my head I assumed that was my follow up apt and that I will cancel after that since I didn't have an apt done in September. i was billed and was told that I was supposed to call to schedule my follow up apt, in the past 2 years I never have called to schedule my apts they have been done automatically and now I was supposed to call and so it's my fault and they will not honor what I was told the phone in July.
