I went with ECOLA out of recommendation from a friend, should have done my research and looked up all the reviews first before proceeding. The inspector Dave was great and very helpful with identifying our termite problem and providing instructions for preparing ourselves for the tenting process. Reason for the 2/5 was the lack of ownership for the damage they caused to a line that was our internet connection, during the tenting process the line was snapped. When we returned we had no wifi, we chased the issue to the snapped line. Our internet provider had to come out and repair the damage (for a fee of course). I called ECOLA right away to see if they could compensate for the added costs I incurred due to these damages and they gave me the work around and ultimately left me in the dark. Beware if you have terra cotta tiles! Back in October I had my home tented for termites. Upon further inspection after the service was finished I noticed several tiles looked like they were about to fall off along the edge of the roof. My Contractor had also raised concerns about the hanging tiles. When he got up on the roof he was in shock as additional roof tiles were smashed into pieces, which came to about 235 tiles. The tiles are terracotta which are on most California homes. I have been in contact with Danny since December, when he did come out to my property, with my contractor present he agreed that there was damage done and clearly the men on the roof were not being careful with the heavy tarps. I have been strolled along by your representative hoping I will go away. I will be going to small claims as a result. Be prepared to pay additional fees once the service is finished and you will be responsible for their damages. read more

I do not recommend using this company for any rat problem. They dont have people and tools to handle the problem. I asked them to do the work. They could never find rat or mouse. And they did not even have sealing material to seal areas from where the mouse can come. I paid money and the issue still remains after 5 followups. I suggest do not use their service for any rat or mouse issues. I later found that many pipes on the roof are left open assuming that mouse can't enter from their. This is not professional. How can a professional assume that certain openings in roof will not be used by mouse? Anyway, I have to go with someone else and Ecola would not even refund my money. read more

I had a mixed experience with Ecola. Shaun, who came out both for the estimate and the actual treatment of my home, was professional and thorough in his explanation of the preparation I needed to do in advance of the treatment and the treatment itself. He was very easy to work with accommodating. There do seem to be some scheduling and communication issues between the office and the technician. On the day of my service, the technician was running a couple of hours later than my assigned window of between 8 - 12. This had a ripple effect on my end due to the need to coordinate several things around the time of service, e.g. time-sensitive preparation of the house and dogs, being out of the house for several hours etc.. Every message I left with the office seemed to have been completely miscommunicated to the technician... if it was communicated at all. The difficulty in communication has me questioning whether I will use this company again. Shaun the technician was great, but the overall experience was frustrating. read more

Jeremy knew what to do and was very professional and followed up a couple of weeks later to reassure there were no more mice. Only 1 mice but it was driving us crazy. My wife and I signed up with Ecola the end of April on a Friday afternoon. We like his proposal and signed a contract for their services for rat traps in the attic and spray for insects around the house. He set the rat traps and said he wold return every week for four (4) weeks, he then went outside and sprayed around the house. He returned five (5) days later to check the traps in the attic. We thought it was a little early to be checking the traps, but he said he stopped because he was in the area. NO Rats..... That was the last we saw or heard from him. I've been a long time customer of Ecola. My renewal was due last year on April 2020. I made over phone and scheduled a technician to come out for annual inspection. Technician came out and did his job. One year later I called to renew contract and I was told that the payment I would make would be for last year 2020 because I never made the payment. This is ridiculous. I was told they would look into this and get back to me. No one ever got back to me so I called on 6/10/21 to follow up and pay for this year 2021. I spoke to Keyia at 8189207301 who told me that last years payment was made on April 2020 then she went on to change what she said. I asked if the conversation were recorded. She said yes so I told her to listen to our phone call because she just told me that I payed then processed to say that I didn'tpay.. I think it is terrible business when you publicly say you are a believer in Jesus Christ and you let your business SCAM people. They were at my house 5 years ago and said we had subterranean termites. I never had treatment done because just one year before they had tented our house and I felt they should have found the subterranean termites at that time. We just had our house inspected again and THERE ARE NO SUBTERRANEAN TERMITES. ECOLA totally lied to us. Thank God I didn't let them treat something that was not there. I needed to do a termite inspection and to obtain the report ASAP and they delivered. We contacted Ecola and the service was excellent beginning from the secretary (possibly named Erika) to the inspector, Santos, who came out to our home. Santos told us what we needed to do to protect our home. We asked Santos about the termite inspection report, advised him about our situation, and requested it to be expedited. We were emailed the report the following day, which gave us a relief. I would contact Ecola again when we need another inspection and would refer them to friends and family. read more

We were looking forward to getting a quote from Ecola Termite because they have a lot of alternative eco-choices - but this company seems very large and they have multiple locations across the state, I think even all over the country..? I spoke with Christine. What a waste of time!! I don't know what was wrong with her, she was soooo slow in taking my information down. After spending 10 minutes just getting my name, phone, email, address, and the info for my house - she tells me the next appointment is December 1st. Um, we would like to get this taken care of sooner than that. When I asked her if she had anything sooner she just said no, sorry. Not very accommodating. So when I explained it'd be great to get this taken care of sooner and we are getting other quotes as soon as tomorrow, she just said "okay." and didn't seem to care she was loosing a potential customer. Heard these guys on the Radio. I really appreciate thier natural approach to pesky pest problems. Pest Control is not my favorite thing to spend money on. But when the spiders and bugs are moving your furniture for you it's time to call the experts. Orange County seems to have a serious problem with spiders for us homeowners. Not sure why... Actually, I felt that, I should not be giving a star rating, because of what I have experienced personally & until now, still ; the issue, is not yet resolved! When, I met Alejandro, one of their staff, he told me I will have 3 treatments/spray, once I paid $450.But,instead I only had 2 treatments! I spoke to him, but he tried to avoid me & his been relocated to a different location.Then, I called the office, they send me another staff his name is Moises, he told me, that I needed to pay $450, for another treatment & he explained to me that I should be receiving the 3rd treatment within a month! which I didn't know because Alejandro didn't mentioned it to me?! I just had Ecola come out for a dual termite issue and I was very pleased with their customer service from beginning to end. They are professional, were able to accommodate my urgent needs and the tech (John) was very fun and pleasant to work with! Made an appointment and they were supposed to be out between 8-11 AM. No one showed up so I called the company. They said they would get in touch with the serviceman and let me know if he was coming and call me back. I hadn't heard anything by 11:30 so I called them again and spoke with Jody. She said they were trying to get in touch with the serviceman and would call me back. Again I didn't hear anything from them so I called at 11:45 and Jody said the serviceman " was running two hours late", yet no one from the company bothered to call me and tell me this. I was the one initiating all the calls to the company. Jody said she would arrange for a serviceman to come out at 3:30 that afternoon. When I got home at 3:20 there was a notice on my door that the serviceman had come out to my house at 12:40. There was also a message on my answering machine that Moses was only in my area on certain days and at certain times and he was not coming back that day. Again I called the company and they said they would try to get in touch with Moses and call me back which they never did. I called again at 3:45 and they said they would talk to a manager about the situation and call me back. Again never heard from them. I would not recommend this company. I had been using Ecola a number of years now for controlling pests both at my residence and at a rental property. Recently, I was charged for service to the rental property that did not occur. The resident (family member) of the property informed me that he had turned away the technician and that the technician would reschedule. He did not, yet I was charged $85 for service. Called it in. They reversed the charge, but they only said it wasn't fair that I was charged. It is not about fairness. It is about trust. I can't trust an organization who places the responsibility for billing on the customer. I had used them for the past three years to do pest control. I had thought it was the previous resident who was being a bit picky, but realized it was the techs at ECOLA that were shortchanging the customer. I wouldn't trust them to do work unless you can be present at the property when they arrive and when you cannot supervise. Thought I could trust them because they were on the FISH 95.9, but I guess I was wrong. read more

Absolute worst phone service I've ever been given. The woman who answered was short with me, spoke over me, and was incredibly put off that she had to take the time to give me a quote. The pricing that I was quoted was average to high end. She ran off the contract requirements that I was expected to fill without explaining any of the benefits of the service itself. When I inquired about outdoor rodent control in the form of bait boxes she told me I needed an in person estimate. I attempted to explain again that I only was looking at outside bait boxes and could she give me an idea of the cost. I was told all rodent work started at $250. I tried asking if that included just bait boxes outside (since typically other companies offer this service for about $20-30 per box with little or no fees ongoing). The woman yelled over me again that it would start at $250. At this point I asked her why her tone was so rude, since I was just trying to get information. Instead of an apology I got more attitude and yelling. I was forced to hang up on her. I would recommend not working with a company who hires staff that treats customers this way. read more
