I requested a consultation for a rodent issue, scheduling an appointment for a 3:30-5:30 window. I texted my information as requested during the phone call, never hearing back whether the appointment was set. I came home from work early to make the 3:30-5:30 appointment. Absolute no-show, nor any calls/texts regarding the reason. I tried calling and texting without any response. Edit: Acclaimed says they sent cancellation messages but I have no missed calls, texts, or emails. If I somehow missed them, I am happy to remove this review. I also called and texted more than once the day of the appointment and received no response. Only when I posted a critical review on Yelp did I receive communication. read more

Acclaimed came recommended through a friend of mine and having just moved into a new home I needed to have some service done. We had red ants in the backyard and I was scared for my dog to be back there. We had a variety of insects all over the property and I needed this taken care of asap. Acclaimed came out and treated my yard which was of most importance for me and said they would have to come back and spray for the spiders and other insects so as to not mix the chemicals which was great by me since I have an elderly dog to worry about. A few days after my service I walked my yard and didn't find any red ants...what a relief! Two months later we were sprayed for the other insects and I'm happy to say they are gone as well. ***Warning, This company is not licensed. No license number on any paperwork and no license number on website!*** I messaged the business from Yelp. They were very prompt with a response. I wrote to the employee "When do you need payment? When the job is complete?" Response from company employee, "Payment would be required upon completion." I was told it was going to be $350.00. The 2 techs were professional and friendly. They took photos and measurements of the garage door. I asked one tech how do they sanitize? He said that they spray this stuff that is like Lysol and it evaporates. One tech told me that they come out 4 times to remove dead rats. I then told them to go ahead with the job. They only baited the traps and would come a week later to set the traps. They asked me to move boxes to make room for them... shouldn't they do that since they have gloves for the urine and feces? I left them alone to do their job. I recieved a knock on my door minutes later asking for payment for $350.00. I was taken back and confused. I explained that the employee wrote to me on Yelp told me "upon completion". One of the techs who is apparently co owner and a tech, but never introduced himself as co owner, told me they like payment up front because they have been "burned" in the past. Not being prepared, I had to have my elderly mother give payment to them. I then phoned to speak to a supervisor or owner.... that's when I found out the tech was co owner. I was told that once you give the green light they will charge you the $350.00 up front.  I then explained that they only baited the traps and no job has really started yet. I also reiterated that the employee told me "upon completion" and that maybe the employee needs to be retrained? I then told him that his business practices sound very shady and dishonest. I was then told that the 2 holes they found would cost $100.00 each and sanitation is another separate fee of $200. I recieved an estimated for $1,000 for garage door issue and the 2 holes. The "custom job" on the garage door would cost $700 and the 2 holes went up from $100 each to $150 each. What gives?  If I am to go through with everything it's going to cost around almost $1,500 for a small garage that is detached from my condo. They are preying on people who are desperate and can't do things for themselves. I will not pay their ridiculous prices and dealing with their shady change in policy. I will fix the holes myself and sanitize myself. I will then find an honest contractor to fix garage. I just saved myself $1,200. They only came out 2 times and left guts on trap of the rat that was caught. The tech told me they would come out 4 times... nope! I have to dispose of the rat traps myself. Gross! ***These people are not licensed at all*** I looked over all the paperwork and website. No license number. I wanted to report them to the Better Business Bureau but can't because they are not bonded at all! read more

I was bothered by two very common critters: A rat in the attic and a gopher in my backyard(photo). I tried many ways to repel them but failed. So I called a professional guy that I had a dealing with last year but he's busy and he recommended Daniel. Then he came to my house and put a trap in my attic and digged holes in the backyard to scoop some drugs into it. He looks very skilled and detailed. The results are amazing ! A big rat was trapped in the attic just one week later(photo) and the gopher was eliminated six weeks later ! He truly made things done ! Ants, Ants ants everywhere! One call to Acclaimed Pest Control and I was able to get an appointment within a few days. We literally had ants coming out of everywhere. Electrical sockets, light switches, small cracks by the baseboards. We literally had ants trailing thru our house everywhere. Everyday. Jordan was friendly and professional. We went with 2 treatments and will go from there. We have never dealt with ants before but Jordan was nice and explained what kind of ants they were and the best way to treat the situation. It's now been 2 weeks and as of now, I haven't seen one any. It's so nice to wake up in the morning and enjoy my coffee in peace with out having to clean up an entire colony of ants going after my honey On a side note, I gave them 5 stars because this is the 3rd time I have used Acclaimed Pest Control. In our previous house (Fullerton) there was American Cockroaches all over the place. In our yard, in our kitchen and our bathroom. They are the biggest ugliest things I've ever seen. We had Acclaimed come a few months ago and very nice and accommodating, etc. but in the end, next time I would double check there work and press them a bit more. After they "closed all entry points" and "set rat traps" and "saw that there was only old dry rat poop in the attic" we continued to hear the scratching and sound of rats running above us in the attic. Taking matters into my own hands and not wanting to spend another ~$500, I headed up into the attic. I found fresh rat poop everywhere and clear signs that there was recent activity. I set two rat traps in the attic. One day later, two dead rats. I'm not saying Acclaimed is not worth it, I'm just saying double check there work and make sure they're doing what they say they are. I learned a lot from them, but in the end, I'm not sure they were ever really serious about catching or getting rid of the rats. The sprayer went around my house trying to open doors bc we didn't answer the door. I accidentally told them I was out of town. He opened a door and just walked in my home. They use to be a 5 star company. I've used them for 3 years. I noticed the last 3-5 months things had been different customer service wise! When the original owner, Daniel left. It went down hill. So the guy that came out sprayed and for some reason they apparently had a "note to spray inside". Which is false. So the man opened the screen door in my bedroom and then my sliding glass door. My husband was home thankfully. He tried coaxing my dog to be quiet and then walked in my home thru a back door! When my husband caught him, he was so startled. He thought we weren't home. He then proceeded to argue w my husband about why he walked in our house after we specifically didn't answer the door. The guy ran to his truck very quickly leaving my gate wide open and my dog got out! I called Jason and Oh, the EGO! He then started arguing w me that I was wrong and that didn't happened and he didn't open my door!!! Came home to the smell of death in our house after a long day of work with 100+ temp outside. Called Acclaimed Pest Control and was able to get someone out in about an hour, when all others wouldn't give me the time of day (and I called a lot of them). Manuel absolutely kicked ass with the problem! Very professional and personable. Crawled the whole attic, walked the main run of the house. He heard the faint sound of baby mice in the laundry room (absolutely crazy sense - my wife and I were right there and heard nothing). Pulled apart both washer and dryer - nothing. Ended up being inside our wall. Got rid of the carcass and baby mice and cleaned up everything. With a ton of extra work and hassle the originally quoted rate was what was billed! Very Impressed! We had an awkward smell in the office and just knew it wasn't the plumbing. We called Acclaimed Pest Control on a Friday afternoon and Christian was able to get out right away and find and remove a dead rodent that was caught up above in the attic. I can't thank him enough for how quick and professional he way. He found and diagnosed the problem with in minutes. We eventually came to an agreement that I am satisfied with, and the owner did offer to redo our treatment but we were just tired of dealing with them. We had a lot of trouble contacting them to address our concerns - it was over a month of us initiating contact before we were able to get a hold of them to fix it. If you choose this company, I think you will eventually get good service, but it may take a lot of work on your part. read more
