Our old craftsman home has a crawlspace, which has attracted rats, stray cats, raccoons, possums, and skunks. They brought lots of fleas w/ them, and this caused us to have a flea infestation every summer. We hired people to seal the space but no one was able to eradicate the problem. Finally, we found Daniel, who was able to show us the source of the problem. Since his treatment we have not had any pest problems in our crawlspace. Their prices are pretty competitive, meaning they are not CHEAP compared to Terminix. I thought I would give the smaller businesses a chance, but I'm not so sure that was a good idea. I had an ant problem and the guy that came out said he'd put some product in all the seals and cracks, etc. 2 weeks later, the ants were back. I texted the guy and he said he didn't' have any time til about another 2 weeks out. I agreed, this time I asked for the other rooms (not just the infected one) and the outdoor to be sprayed. A new person came out 2 weeks later and treated our house. A week later, I still see spiders in the house. Every time I contact Acclaimed, no one responds....I think I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

We vetted several companies for pest control to get rid of some spiders inside and outside our house. We chose acclaimed because of the good customer service we received from the message exchanges here on yelp. The messages were detailed and they answered all my questions promptly. So I called to book an appointment, the first time I had to cancel so I rescheduled the second time. At the time my schedule was tight and we could only be home on weekends so I asked if they were available on Saturdays, the lady on the phone said yes so the second appointment was booked for a one time service of $180 (more than competitors but worth more for better service) During the weeks leading up to the day I received several messages asking to rebook but would only get a text on the day of and I could not reschedule. When Christian ( I think that's his name) came to the appointment on that Saturday he made the conversation very awkward and didn't really explain much. He said he would get started. A few min later he came back and said the service would cost $250 because it was a weekend. I canceled on the spot. If they had told me originally they charge more for a weekend I would never have booked in the first place. I do not recommend this place. read more

I woke up this morning and headed towards the bathroom, and found out there was already somebody there - about 6 inches long with grey fur and a long tail. Oops! I closed the door and started searching Yelp for a company to come remove the invading critter. Barbara got back to me very quickly with a firm, fair quote, and said she could get a tech out to me by 1pm. Christian arrived just as scheduled. He was very knowledgeable of dealing with mice/rats and had a stack of professional sticky traps with him. He pushed a trap inside the bathroom and then we took care of the financials, but before he could leave I could hear some banging around inside the bathroom and knew the trap had already worked. I was looking for a reputable company to come check out our attic for mice/rats. Acclaimed Pest Control had good reviews so we decided to contact them. First contact was via email. They got right back to me the next morning with information and costs. I scheduled an appointment for them to come check out our attic. They were here the very next day. Daniel was our first contact. Very professional and full of information. Turns out we had the very beginnings of an infestation. He told us how we could do exclusion (repairing varmint entrance points) ourselves to save money, but also offered for Acclaimed to take care of it for a $ fee. We chose to do it ourselves but chose Acclaimed to come set the traps in the attic for a $ fee. Keith was out the next day. Very friendly and also informative. He set our traps and will be back to check them for us 3 times in the next 30 days. So far I am very happy with the prompt, friendly service of Keith and Daniel. It was midweek and the wife tells me that fleas have taken over my house while I was away on business travel. When I got home on Friday noon and there was a nasty stench and fleas everywhere. I suspected there was probably a dead animal infested with fleas in the crawl space beneath the house. Quicly, I called a lot of pest control companies and no one was able to attend to my urgent need. Also found a lot of these companies won't even go into the crawl space areas (How crazy is that? These are sweet areas for the nastiest pest infestations). When I called Acclaimed Pest Control they were very attentive and responsive to my situation. They made sure to get all the details to give me pricing on the spot and immediately sent a technician: Manuel De La Cruz. This guy rocks! He got under the house right away and...found 2 dead raccoons! Without hesitation he took them out and made sure the area was clean. Then he sprayed the house to kill the fleas. He did all the work in 1 hour. The service was $300. They will be back in 2 weeks to check on the house and respray if needed. So far I'm very satisfied with these guys. He came by and due to the time constraint; he was up front and stated he didn't want to charge me if he couldn't complete the job I asked. Not a lot of businesses big or small do that nowadays. People are mostly out to get the money and worry about the customer service later. But not with Daniel; he represents a business model that we need more of. He gave me recommendations on a short fix. Very disappointed by Daniel's service. Had a rat problem in my attic. Nice guy but not thorough and minimal. He required that I pay him upfront before the job was done. I was so desperate to get rid of the rat problem that I caved in and paid. I mentioned that this was very unusual to pay upfront before the service which I have never done before. He mentioned that he can only give the discount if I pay that day or the deal was off. He also seemed very reluctant to put shoe coverings inside the house. I had to give him plastic bags. Not prepared or courteous. Short inspection. He didn't catch any rats during the 4 week service just set traps and blocked two possible entry points. He also cleaned the rat droppings and promised to get rid of dry walls debris and pieces that were left from my lights contractor which came with an additional cost. Wouldn't guarantee since its an attached townhome and any additional checkups come with additional fees. The only reason I didn't hear the rats is due to the fact that my association put baits outside our property. The rat came back after two months loud and clear when the outside baits were gone and he did not clear out all the drywall pieces either. I hired a different pest control professional. He was much more professional, clean, thorough, prepared, and courteous. Brought his own shoe coverings and protective covers for the messes. Never had to ask. He really took his time going through our complicated ceilings. In addition, he looked at me crazy to think that I would pay him before the service is done. He wouldn't charge additional fees after follow-up checks until the rat is gone. He seemed to take real pride in his job. read more

I've lived in my home for almost 6 years. I never had cockroaches before and was appalled to find them in the kitchen. I had tried all the 'home' remedies and still had them. I decided to call Acclaimed Pest Control because of the great reviews. I'm on disability and don't have a lot of money so I wanted to be sure the problem was taken care of the first time. Daniel was very busy, but made time to come out and assess the problem the next day. He explained why cockroaches are so hard to get rid of and what he would do to fix the problem. I have two nosy little dogs so it was important to me that there be no danger to them. We made an appointment for Daniel to come back in a few days to do the work and he was right on time. I now have a cockroach free home. YAY! We caught a mouse over the weekend, and wanted to get the house checked. Through a series of references, I landed on Acclaimed Pest Control. I made an appointment for 7am; at 6:30 Daniel called to say he was en route. At 7 he was there, and I showed him the area where the mouse was spotted. He examined it, and then went around the entire house (two stories) looking for every area where mice might be hiding. He checked the laundry room, the bedrooms, the dining room, moved piles of clothes and stuffed animals, and so on. Then he did a perimeter check around the outside of the entire house. And then, he brought in his ladder and climbed into the attic space to check that, too. And then he gave me the news: it did not look like there was any serious issue. After all that work, he could have said we had a problem and charged me an arm and a leg for his services. But instead, he was honest. He then took the time to show me how to properly lay out a couple of traps for peace of mind, told me how to bait them and exactly where to set them, gave me his cell number, and told me to call him if I have any questions... and then he left, with a handshake and no charge. I was blown away by the service, and he is an incredibly nice man, to boot. This is an old school, people-first business that I'd be happy to spend money with, and while the mouse kind of ruined the weekend, dealing with Daniel was an honest pleasure.
