We recently visited Eberly to celebrate our son's birthday, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience from start to finish. The first thing that stood out was the beautiful ambiance. The restaurant offers both stunning indoor and outdoor seating, making it perfect for any occasion. Since we planned to bring our dog, we called ahead to confirm outdoor seating availability. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and promptly guided to the outdoor patio. Before we even had a chance to ask, the staff brought a bowl of water for our dog, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Another touch that made the evening special was that the staff acknowledged our son's birthday upon arrival and presented him with a birthday card signed by team members. It was a simple but incredibly sweet gesture that made him feel celebrated. For drinks, my husband ordered the Swedish Fish Punch, while I enjoyed the Family Business German Pilsner. For appetizers, we shared the Burrata and a salad that is no longer on the menu. The salad featured cashew butter and was absolutely delicious. Both appetizers were beautifully prepared, flavorful, and generously portioned for the three of us. For the main course, we decided to share two dishes. I wanted to try a vegetarian option, and our server was extremely helpful, offering several menu items that could be modified. I chose the Mafaldine pasta, and I couldn't have been happier with my choice. It was rich, flavorful, and unlike any pasta dish I've had before. Every bite was outstanding. My son ordered the salmon, which was equally delicious and perfectly cooked. Both dishes were satisfying and filling. Since we wanted to save room for dessert, sharing the entrees turned out to be the perfect decision. We ordered the Pistachio Crème Brûlée and Sticky Toffee Pudding, and the restaurant also surprised our son with a complimentary birthday cake complete with a candle. All three desserts were exceptional and a perfect ending to the meal. Eberly is definitely a high-end dining destination and an excellent choice for special occasions, celebrations, or gatherings with family and friends. The indoor and outdoor spaces are beautiful and spacious, the service is attentive and thoughtful, and every dish felt carefully crafted with unique flavors and attention to detail. What impressed me most was that every aspect of the experience--from the hospitality to the food and special touches--felt intentional and genuine. We left feeling celebrated, well-fed, and already looking forward to our next visit.
I've heard of Eberly for years, I just figured it was out of my price range. My friends and I decided to try the Cedar Tavern happy hour, but we arrived to find out it was booked for an event! The hostesses were super accommodating and even though the bar area was full, we were sat at a table and they would still honor the $7 martinis and $10 burger at least! We just had to be out by the time the next reservation was due, which was plenty of time. I thought that was so nice of them. Our table ordered some martinis, the Japanese milk buns, burger and fries, apple Asian salad, as well as the zucchini dish. I would skip the caesar salad, nothing to write home about. I would definitely recommend the zucchini dish, it was perfectly fried and the accompaniments were delicious. The Asian salad was great for a hot day. Of course I've seen the pictures of the grand atrium room with skylights, so it was cool to see it in person. There are many different areas to Eberly, and I must return to fully experience them all. I saw a side patio area, I have heard there's a rooftop, and I know the Cedar Tavern bar was transported from New York City. To top it off, valet is free!
I love that i don't have to find parking as there is valet. The staff were super friendly. Since I dined alone they gave me just the right amount of attention. The restaurant is beautiful in this old cigar club kind of way I ordered the crudo which came out so quickly. It was delicious with such a good amount of acid. I had the halibut. I did not like that it came out while I was eating the crudo and would have preferred a gap. This fish was delicious. Absolutely loved the pickled chillis with it. I had the pistachio creme brulee this was delicious. I was being greedy and being from Australia I had to have the sticky toffee pudding. This sadly was disappointing. It was too salty and hard to enjoy. Wish I ended on the brulee. I would definitely come back as the service and savory items were great
Great food, ribeye special sauce was so good and filling and was already sliced. Potatoes hit the spot with its sauce and cooked so soft. Bread and butter was great star as the butter was whipped and bread was glazed so well. Crudo was so tender and beets salad was great portion. Service was quick and ambiance was dark, would've been nice if blinds were open Would come back.
This restaurant is absolutely stunning making it worth the visit alone! But the food and drinks are also amazing. I went for happy hour which is one of my favorites in Austin. I ordered an espresso martini and a maverick martini. I'd pass on the espresso martini in the future but the maverick martini was addicting. Yum! For food, I ordered fries, artichoke dip, and soft pretzel and loved every single thing! Parking was easy as there was complimentary valet. You won't regret a happy hour here!
A group of us went to celebrate a birthday and reserved a table. Our server and manager were very attentive and the service was great. I didn't get pictures or everything but we had tasty food and drinks. The fresh oysters were fantastic and everyone was happy with their food. The potatoes were shared. Between the Bellinis, Old Fashioned and lots of champagne we were happy there. They also brought out a little birthday dessert for the birthday girl. Parking is a bit of a challenge. Valeting is the way to go but there is parking nearby but with a walk if you prefer to park yourself.
Had a reservation for 6:45, SXSW road closures had another idea. Didn't arrive until 7:10 and I did call beforehand to inform them. They weren't very busy and got a seat at the bar. Very friendly staff and attentive. Only recommendation would be to give the rundown for newbies. I mentioned it was my first time in and didn't get any insight. Surprisingly a couple sat near me with a different bartender and they were given a rundown of the concept as well as what they are known for. I got the Cesar salad and the pork chop both recommended by the bartender. Salad came out quickly and was delicious, crisp lettuce and enough dressing. The pork chop too a hot minute. To the point where the couple that ordered after me was almost done with their meal before it arrived. Sooo, not sure where the disconnect was. That same couple finished their meal and left before I was half way through my meal. The pork chop was worth the wait and cooked perfectly. The Brussel sprouts were also crispy and seasoned well. The restaurant had a chill vibe and definitely liked it once the sun went down as the interior lighting really set the mood. You get to walk by the open kitchen line to use the restroom and see the Sun room across from the kitchen. The restrooms were great! Love the decor and the full individual stalls. Only recommendation would be to upgrade the locks to 'occupied/vacant' as it's hard to tell which are available. They def were busier when I left. They do have valet, no self parking and I used a ride share as I knew parking would be tight. I'd love to go back and try a few other things on their menu.
My wife and I went to Eberly's for Fathers Day and we had a wonderful time. The food was very good. You literally can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My ceasar salad was great and abundant in size, which helped. The service was a bit on the slow side, but they were all extremely friendly and attentive. The ambiance is date night. Dress is business casual. Look forward to good times here! BTW, there is a hidden speak easy (Shhhh...).
My girl Maren knew her stuff! She was absolutely the sweetest and everything she recommended was fantastic. The food was so good I was thinking about it the next day and knew I had to share it on Yelp! We got a 6:30 reservation and it was perfect; not too loud or too busy yet. We started with the bread rolls and HOLY! Those things just melted in your mouth and the butter with them was chef's kiss. Maren absolutely rocked my world by recommending the salmon. It came with a thick hash brown-like patty underneath, and it was so well done. The flavor was insane. The rigatoni was fab as well. It had a little kick, but nothing crazy. Now let's get to that toffee cake pudding. W O W. I have nothing else to say besides seriously save room for this in your stomach. Next time I definitely want to check out the cool bar in the back too. The burgers looked awesome
The Eberly is a beautiful restaurant located on South Lamar. Perfect for date night or a girls night. The service was fantastic. Everyone was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Now for the fun part.... the food! You must start with the bread. It was perfectly fluffy and the sea salt on top was such a nice touch. The Lobster Spaghettini was delicious. Very saucy. We didn't love the desert s'mores bar, but that's totally fine because we saved some calories on that one lol. The marshmallow to chocolate ratio was way off; however I strongly believe this desert could be redeemed by increasing the size of the chocolate cake.
Holiday party #4 - What a lovely Finance Holiday party at Eberly. It has been about two weeks since I had dinner at Eberly during another Finance meeting. Tonight, we were on the roof top of Eberly, which I had never frequented. Sometimes, your mind conjures up a vision of what a venue might be like, and then you are pleasantly surprised. That was the case tonight. I imagined a roof top that opened to the outside elements and potentially cold since its currently 50 degrees in Austin, TX. The roof top is an enclosed large area and aesthetically pleasing. The roof top is at the back of the building and literally next door to the railroad tracks. A train passed by during the holiday party...somewhat spooky and unexpected. When you step outside you can see a panoramic view of Austin, TX...so beautiful. The roof top has indoor and outdoor luxurious seating. The fellowship with like-minded folks is always uplifting. We dined on bites along with an open bar. Food included a charcuterie board, short rib and chicken sliders, potato balls, spinach cups and shrimp. The evening ended with cheesecake and fruit tartlets. Holidays parties are just fun because you have an opportunity to converse with your colleagues in a completely informality setting. Certainly, there will be laughter and some tall stories. The finance party was one of the highlights of the week. The mixologists served a curated array of adult beverages as well as tailored drinks to your liking. Many guests commented on the wine quality and the expert mixes of holiday spirits. Tonight, Eberly hosted 4 parties, and this contributed to some backup with the valet. It is important to note that valet services are free. Overall, a very pleasant evening with Finance colleagues.
We drove from NOLA to Austin with reservations here at 7p on a Monday (thank you for being open Monday or we'd never have been able to experience this)! The establishment is even grander than the photos make it out to be... massive rooms peppered with large wooden beams; tables; and ironworks throughout. There were two other tables finishing up, and us. Our 40-something waiter had just the right balance of casual earthiness and professional attentiveness to match the stateliness of this restaurant. I ordered the Double Feature (Mezcal, hibiscus, ginger) $17 and she her usual "old fashioned" Montecristo (rye, highland park, cynar) $18. Both were fabulous. For apps we noticed charred/tossed brussles with one of the entrees and asked our waiter if that could be an appetizer (not on the menu) and he promptly said Done! It was terrific. For entrees she ordered the Texas Wagyu Strip $48 and I had my go-to fav whenever I see it on a menu: Short Rib $40. See the menu pics for the sauces and sides, suffice to say... incredible. By 8p we were the only occupants left in this cathedral-like establishment and ended up lingering until 9:45, ordering another drink and then one of THE best desserts I have ever had... the Guinness Chocolate Cake (with pumpkin puree, candied quinoa, and maple/choc ice cream) $12. We agreed that the candied quinoa was over the top - adding a delightfully subtle crunch to every bite in this richly dark choc dessert. After realizing that for the past hour we were keeping the bartender, host, waiter, and kitchen singlehandedly at our beckon call, we quietly dropped a c-note for a four-way tip. Thank you folks for the beautiful welcome wagon and chance to unwind and reconnect after 9 hours on the highway!

Wonderful! We got an assortment (wagyu, ribeye, rigatoni, a few cocktails, crème brûlée, and it was all amazing! Our waiter Chris was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in ordering. Can't wait to come back. It's a bit dark inside but that's just part of the experience. read more
Excellent. Ambience is lovely, service was good. I ordered the lychee martini, which was absolutely delicious, probably my best drink in Austin. The half chicken with the brown butter gnocchi was delectable. I like the library book decor, and the rod iron skylight. Not cheap but a terrific higher end dinner. read more

Wow! We love this place. Pleasantly surprised by the brunch menu here. The French toast is probably THE best French toast I have ever had. We also got the jalapeño biscuits & the gravy, and it was so delicious. The service was pleasant. We reserved a table but they sat us at the bar instead, initially we were disappointed but it was nice to see the behind the scenes of the kitchen. Very lively, we loved the vibes here. read more

My wife and I went there for our 19th Anniversary on the 18th of May. We had made reservations and ended up getting there early. They promptly sat us. Our server Jillian was amazing. She was a very friendly person and you could tell she genuinely cared about taking the best care of us. The food was great as well. We had half baked chicken and short ribs. We had a couple appetizers and desserts as well. Everything was cooked to perfection. We really enjoyed the fact that when the food was dropped off every item was described. I have already shared this experience with quite a few of my friends at work. read more

Always a solid choice for drinks. They are always very tasty and unique with classics in stock as well. Service js always on point and attentive with great recommendations. A great spot for dinner in the South Austin area! Can't wait to return, amazing, flavorful food and a great ambiance. Parking - they have valet parking, it's right off out South Lamar so not sure where else you would park if you didn't valet. Ambiance - beautiful interior and some cool architecture. We sat at the bar which had a really grand feel. Great for groups or dates. We went for our anniversary so we dressed up a little and fit right in. They also gave us a signed card that said Happy Anniversary which was really sweet. Food & Drinks - wowza! We got bread and butter and the chickpea fritters to start with and were talking about them DAYS later. We each got a cocktail and I loved the High Line. I got the rigatoni without the meat and savored every bite. They also gave us a free glass of champagne and the coconut mouse bomb dessert to celebrate our anniversary. Service - Waiters were incredibly nice and made a point to say happy anniversary to us. Service at times was on the slower end for putting in orders but I think it was because we were at the bar and they didn't want to bother us. 100% recommend for a nice dinner for a group or date! read more

My husband and I loved the food and general service. Our waiter, Chris, was extremely hospitable and enthusiastic about the menu. Pricing was generally reasonable. The environment was really the biggest issue for us. First, there was valet parking, but their stand was hidden behind a large SUV so when the gentleman came up asking if we were going to Eberly and would like to valet, I asked him who he was and if he had anything to prove he was valet. He said something to the effect that we had driven past the valet stand but other than that, no. I still didn't see the stand from where we were and he didn't point it out, so I told him I didn't feel comfortable just handing my keys off to someone and ended up parking at the bike shop next door. It was also so incredibly loud inside as if we were at a nightclub. I could barely hear my husband unless he was yelling. We are not incredibly quiet people, but for a dinner environment, it was really excessive. read more

My wife and I went to Eberly last night to celebrate our Anniversary. We absolutely love this place. It had been a year since we'd been there. We were seated in the back room where the second bar area is located. There's couches back there for a little lounge, but they had added tables back there for dinner seating. Lots of holiday parties going on. Our server was great! She was so kind and attentive. We ordered: half dozen oysters, rolls with butter, ceasar salad, crab cake, rigatoni and purple cabbage. Everything was so tasty! It's above and beyond. For dessert, we had pumpkin ice cream scoop and cranberry sorbet scoop with coffee. This place is one of the best in Austin! Decor is incredible too! The inside of the restaurant is beautiful! Perfect area for a shower or party. The food was excellent, specifically the yellowtail and mushrooms. My only criticism is portions could be slightly bigger, but service and ambience make up for it. Can't wait to go back read more

Important note - the following review is based on my experience during brunch service at Eberly. At this time Eberly is only open for dinner service 7 days a week. If someone at Eberly happens to see this - I highly encourage you to bring brunch back because it really was a great menu! What I ate - Shrimp and Grits (photo below): solid 8/10 Staff was very nice, ambiance was classy but the parking situation is less than ideal. There is no self park at Eberly, vallet only (who you are encouraged to tip). read more

Our catering company went to Austin for a conference and while we were trying to find dinner for our first night there, we came across Eberly and heard lots of great things. It did not disappoint! I am a foodie but my coworkers are a whole other level (as they should since we literally sale food for work) and we all had something to say about everything but the consensus was that everything was delicious. Service was so appreciative for all feedback which was nice and they were very attentive too. But mannnn my cocktail had to have been my favorite. Never thought I'd love a truffle mushroom salt rim on my whiskey but ooo it's so worth the try if you're a whiskey fan!! read more

Eberly is THE place for girl's night, date night, or really any night! The restaurant is beautiful with lighting that creates an unforgettable ambiance. The restaurant itself is quite large with a tavern area as well as a main dining area. We chose to sit at the main dining area for our first time, but we definitely plan to return to the tavern. Both areas have their own menu so be sure to pay attention to where you will be seated if you browse the menu beforehand. And now to talk about the food! Truly so flavorful and unique. Be sure to get some cocktails/mocktails as well as the meal wouldn't be complete without them. Cannot recommend Eberly enough! read more

My husband and I came on a Wednesday night and it was wine night - 50% bottles of wine under $100. We picked an incredible Beaujolais which was the star of the night! Eberly has a low light, industrial vibe right on S. Lamar. No matter where you sit, you'll be surrounded by great ambiance. We tried the Japanese milk rolls, pork chops, and the mushroom dish. The food fell flat for me overall. I thought the rolls were dry, the pork chops were very dry and hard to chew, and the mushrooms were salty. Service was great and the vibes were great, but the food could have been better given the price. read more

Unquestionably, this was one of, if not the single best meal I've had in Austin, to date. From the moment you walk in that door, it feel like you've entered into a parallel universe where everything is beautiful, you're important and cared for, and nothing can go wrong. Sounds like an exaggeration? Clearly, you haven't been. The decor is stunning, the kind of interior that belongs in magazines or coffee table photo books, with multiple bars, private rooms for parties, and center atrium covered by the interior of a reclaimed submarine. My expectations for the food were limited. Naturally it would be high-quality and thoughtfully curated, but maybe a light salad at most. I'm still floored that instead, I was given a completely personalized vegan menu that honestly could put most omnivorous meals to shame. Standouts include: -Roasted squash, which had a hint of citrus zest (I want to say tangerine?) and toasted pumpkin seeds -Farro salad tossed with a bright vinaigrette where you could really taste the grassy, peppery olive oil -And the centerpiece of it all, a lion's mane mushroom steak, plated with buttery scalloped potatoes and crunchy sunchoke crisps Don't sleep on the sides, either; the broccoli was perfectly tender and lightly charred on the edges. Crushed potatoes were lovely, if not as memorable. TLDR, I found my new favorite special occasion/splurge restaurant. For a city with precious few vegan fine dining opportunities, this one makes up for that shortage in spades. read more

Ive been here a couple times. Food is good, but nothing incredible. Inside is well laid out and makes for a great date, but I would never go here with a large group again. The check splitting was a nightmare. I added a star because our waiter was awesome. I'd say it's nice to try at least once, but I prefer other places in Austin. read more

Eberly is always a great date night. Beautiful interior, professional service & delicious food. Grab a drink in the connected bar for happy hour first, cheap martinis. The highlight for both me & my carnivore husband was the cauliflower entree! So fantastic! read more
The restaurant was very nice and clean. Their servers were friendly and attentive. The drinks were very good. There gluten free options were incredibly limited and frankly disappointing, if you love food and having a variety of choices... not the spot for you. The salad was good, but certainly wouldn't have been my choice if there were better options for gluten free folks. read more
I'm going to have to amend my previous raving review. Since then, I have come 2 more times for breakfast and consistently had issues with the avocado toast. Today they were out.of the crispy garbanzo beans and promised crispy carrots instead. When the avocado toast arrived, it had no micro greens and no crispy carrots. I had to ask and wait for the correction. Another hiccup today, no brown sugar available for coffee. Really? How does restaurant management forget to reorder brown sugar packets? I settled for white sugar that was delivered in a small cup. Service was still great but there were too many problems with my order today, and it was the same issue last time with the avocado toast. read more
Wow the vibes of this restaurant are SO COOL. The study is beautiful and the rest of the restaurant is super luxurious. My boyfriend and I got seated in a circular booth which definitely felt too big for two people. The service was kind of attentive. Sometimes I felt like we were forgotten, sometimes they were a bit too interrupting The food though was delicious We started with the grilled octopus which was so tasty, the blend of different sauces with the soft octopus went perfectly. The lion's mane mushroom was such a fun take on mushroom. It was like eating a super smokey soft protein. As I kept eating it just got saltier and saltier. But the balance of different textures went well. read more

Eberly Our dinner here was throughly enjoyable. Let's start with the atmosphere. The atmosphere was incredible - high end everything. Dim lit and very intimate. Restaurant was completely full by about 6:30pm and it was a Tuesday. The service was also very top tier. Came around a very good amount, was very timely, and prompt with suggestions. The food was impeccable. I went with a larger group and we were able to try so much on the menu. There were a few items I would not skip at all. The Crudo: ours was with kampachi and had several citrus pairings - truly incredible. The oysters were the highest quality I've had in Austin - bravo to the chef for selecting these. The chickpea fritter was also 10/10, please keep this on the menu forever. The entrees were also just amazing. The pork chop was an American twist on a SE Asian comfort curry. Loveeeedd this. The beef short rib was melt in your mouth good - pair this with the crispy potatoes and you're golden. The lion's Maine mushroom was also just so packed with flavor and perfectly paired together. Our waitress told us to go with the sticky toffee pudding for dessert and this did not disappoint at all. The caramelized fig was to die for. Overall, Eberly wowed me and everyone in my group. I came in for a birthday celebration and drinks and had a really great time at the bar in the back. The ambience is swanky and sophisticated and the staff is really nice. We really enjoyed the bread and crushed potatoes that we ordered to snack on with our drinks and felt they were pretty reasonably priced. I also got a birthday dessert which was really nice of them! Great ambiance. They do complimentary valet bc the parking lot is tight. Came here for my bday. All of the food was tasty. I loved the crudo with the citrus. The steak melted in your mouth. Came to Eberly on Thursday evening for a group dining event. Beautiful space overall, and the private dining room was lovely. Staff was accommodating and attentive. We had a set menu, the mushroom fritters and salmon with crispy rice cake were delicious. Had a Mocktail, that looked pretty but was quite sour. Valet service, works on tips.. Overall, great experience. I would come back. read more
Visited Eberly for a brunch with friends. Upon arrival, the parking can be a bit tight but they have a complimentary valet service which was very helpful (free but tips appreciated). For a noon brunch on a Saturday, it was not packed & we easily got right in with a reservation. The interior is beautiful with a classy but slightly retro feel: gold accents, deep blues, wooden accents, and a sunroom that looks like a dreamy greenhouse. Service was great - out waiter was attentive but didn't interrupt us join first being seated & chatting with friends. I tried the avocado toast (my favorite), the burger (also very good, the fries were a bit disappointing though) and their chocolate muffin (came out warm and was so rich & delicious). Loved the atmosphere, the food was pretty good, the menu offerings (at least for brunch) were pretty limited but the items they did have didn't disappoint. An incredible experience at this lovely restaurant! They have complimentary valet which makes parking super easy and probably the BEST happy hour menu in all of Austin. You get such incredible food at a great price with amazing cocktails! Salmon Rilletes: this was honestly my favorite bite of the evening. The dill sauce paired nicely with the salmon. It was SO good! Mussels and fries: The green curry broth was incredible and the fresh herbs elevated the dish further. The garlic aioli that came with the French fries was super good too! Tavern Burger: You CANT go wrong with this burger! Trust me. Beef tartare over the bone marrow: My two favorite items beef tartare and bone marrow combine to give your taste buds a delicious time! Highly recommend this dish. Interior was very cute and the bar in the back is honestly such a nice touch. Our server was incredible too. You can't go wrong here! read more
I would suggest that your make a reservation! The valet parking during the day is complementary and I suggest you use it. This restaurant offers multiple dining scenes for you to experience. The roof top patio, the front bar, the back bar, main dinning area, patio and the greenhouse area. This greenhouse type area offers amazing natural light and photographs well. I found the staff to be not only nice but accommodating. Our waiter was so attentive even my husband said that he felt the service was top notch. We were warmly greeted and offered two glasses of water. We let our waiter know we wanted to start with a couple of cups of coffee. We found the coffee to be smooth and full flavored. We decided to order the lemon poppyseed Madelines with thai basil glaze. I found the zest of lemon in these Madelines to be delightfully refreshing. I believe that the Thai basil was flash fried and it really complimented the pastry nicely. I decided for the main course to get the basic breakfasts, scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuit, potatoes, and cheesy grits. I decided to get a side of avocado salad. I will definitely order this again. Came here for dinner and we loved it!!! The server was very knowledgeable and was so helpful in telling us about the menu and the history behind the restaurant. I got the mussels and they were soooo good!!! So flavorful and you get a lot!! The decor is really cute too so perfect for pictures. I think in general it's a bit over priced but definitely still worth checking out!! read more

Fantastic!! Everything was amazing. The food was delicious. The appetizers were great who would have thought the grilled cabbage would be so good! Our waiter B did an amazing job and was very attentive and explained the menu to us. He was very patient and recommended some excellent eats and drinks. I took my wife here for our 21st anniversary. I i have to say it was worth every penny. We definitely be returning. Sorry I forgot to take food pics. The interior is pretty awesome. read more
