What an evening for the books! Eberly is a dining experience that features not only some of the best service, but their attention and prioritization of allergens is some of the best. I had the opportunity to enjoy a company dinner and the opportunity to enjoy complimentary valet parking I was already off to a great start (always make sure to tip!). There is an open and winding bar at the front for you to enjoy a carefully crafted cocktail with the staff holding some great conversations with patrons. As you look around you'll see this restaurant expands quite a bit and there's a main dining room hall (feels like Hogwarts) and a back area. We were lucky enough to be placed in the main hall that is encompassed by glass walls. The restaurant set up a long dinner table for about thirty guests and there was plenty of room to walk around and mix n' mingle. Tucked away in a back corner there was a beautiful charcuterie spread carefully setup. Our server was so thoughtful and once she realized I was the guest with severe allergens, she immediately came up to let me know there were nuts present on the charcuterie table. She then took it upon herself to create a mini board just for me and set it next to my place setting. Since we were a large party they had a prixe fixe menu for us to enjoy which we shared a few appetizers and were able to select from one of three entrees. I personally opted for their steak and loved it. I remember one of the appetizers being an adaptation of a croqueta and they were delicious! They also had a bread and butter moment and it was so light and fluffy. My fave drink was their old fashioned and they were some of the best I've had in this city. Ive been here a couple times. Food is good, but nothing incredible. Inside is well laid out and makes for a great date, but I would never go here with a large group again. My husband and I came on a Wednesday night and it was wine night - 50% bottles of wine under $100. We picked an incredible Beaujolais which was the star of the night! Eberly has a low light, industrial vibe right on S. Lamar. No matter where you sit, you'll be surrounded by great ambiance. We tried the Japanese milk rolls, pork chops, and the mushroom dish. Unquestionably, this was one of, if not the single best meal I've had in Austin, to date. From the moment you walk in that door, it feel like you've entered into a parallel universe where everything is beautiful, you're important and cared for, and nothing can go wrong. I'm going to have to amend my previous raving review. Since then, I have come 2 more times for breakfast and consistently had issues with the avocado toast. Today they were out.of the crispy garbanzo beans and promised crispy carrots instead. When the avocado toast arrived, it had no micro greens and no crispy carrots. Wow the vibes of this restaurant are SO COOL. The study is beautiful and the rest of the restaurant is super luxurious. My boyfriend and I got seated in a circular booth which definitely felt too big for two people. The service was kind of attentive. Restaurant was completely full by about 6:30pm and it was a Tuesday. The service was also very top tier. Came around a very good amount, was very timely, and prompt with suggestions. The food was impeccable. I went with a larger group and we were able to try so much on the menu. There were a few items I would not skip at all. The Crudo: ours was with kampachi and had several citrus pairings - truly incredible. The oysters were the highest quality I've had in Austin - bravo to the chef for selecting these. The chickpea fritter was also 10/10, please keep this on the menu forever. The entrees were also just amazing. The pork chop was an American twist on a SE Asian comfort curry. Loveeeedd this. The beef short rib was melt in your mouth good - pair this with the crispy potatoes and you're golden. The lion's Maine mushroom was also just so packed with flavor and perfectly paired together. The bar is awkward to sit at because of the design so it's an odd position if you get stuck there for more than just a quick drink. They had a coat rack which was actually very nice. Visited Eberly for a brunch with friends. Upon arrival, the parking can be a bit tight but they have a complimentary valet service which was very helpful (free but tips appreciated). For a noon brunch on a Saturday, it was not packed & we easily got right in with a reservation. The interior is beautiful with a classy but slightly retro feel: gold accents, deep blues, wooden accents, and a sunroom that looks like a dreamy greenhouse. Service was great - out waiter was attentive but didn't interrupt us join first being seated & chatting with friends. I tried the avocado toast (my favorite), the burger (also very good, the fries were a bit disappointing though) and their chocolate muffin (came out warm and was so rich & delicious). You get such incredible food at a great price with amazing cocktails! Salmon Rilletes: this was honestly my favorite bite of the evening. The dill sauce paired nicely with the salmon. It was SO good! I would suggest that your make a reservation! The valet parking during the day is complementary and I suggest you use it. This restaurant offers multiple dining scenes for you to experience. The roof top patio, the front bar, the back bar, main dinning area, patio and the greenhouse area. This greenhouse type area offers amazing natural light and photographs well. I found the staff to be not only nice but accommodating. Our waiter was so attentive even my husband said that he felt the service was top notch. We were warmly greeted and offered two glasses of water. We let our waiter know we wanted to start with a couple of cups of coffee. We found the coffee to be smooth and full flavored. We decided to order the lemon poppyseed Madelines with thai basil glaze. I found the zest of lemon in these Madelines to be delightfully refreshing. I believe that the Thai basil was flash fried and it really complimented the pastry nicely. We went to Cedar Tavern for happy hour and were absolutely blown away by how fantastic it was. I think we just found our new favorite spot. Overall, this spot is quaint and luxurious with well balanced cocktails and well seasoned bites. The bartenders were attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. They made an effort to have conversation with us and made sure we were well taken care of. We enjoyed $7 martinis (espresso and dirty), $5 snacks (Parmesan fries, a soft pretzel, spicy dill popcorn), and a $10 burger. Everything was done impeccably. Although it wasn't a happy hour deal, I would also recommend the buttered popcorn martini; it was super unique and worth trying. The creme brulee was excellent and the cherry sorbet was very granular and perhaps would be better described as a granita but strong cherry flavor came thru with a hint of smoky mezcal which was nice. This place has been on my list for some time and is truly impeccable. The staff is attentive and always ensuring that the table is cleanly bussed. We came here for brunch which changes on the regular as the food is seasonal based. I can't speak too much about dinner but our brunch items came out fast and were super flavorful. I ordered the pork belly confit. The pork belly was great but the real star was the cornbread that it was carefully placed on top of. I went here on an evening with some friends, and it was a disappointing night. The place was beautifully decorated, and the ambiance is nice for a date or an evening out. However, everything else was mediocre, if not worse. Service: The server did not come to us until about thirty minutes after we sat, and afterwards, only came to take our order and hand out our food. They did not check up on us at all. Everything took forever from service to food coming out to getting the check. They also put the utensils on thr side of the napkin straight on the table, which I felt was not the most hygenic personally. Food: I ordered the NY strip steak medium, and it came with some grains and broccolini. The food was very bland, especially the grains and beans, and the steak was overcooked and more on the medium-well side. The steak was super chewy and lukewarm. In the area we were sat in, the lighting was so dark, and I could not see what I was eating or cutting at all. I understand having dim lighting for the mood, but it was super dark. I also got the Japanese milk bread creme brulee and sticky toffee pudding, which were good but nthing special. They were definitely way better than the main course. Visited Eberly for the first time for a dinner reservation for a Bachelorette party. At first glance, the interior and architecture of the restaurant is exceptionally nice. Unfortunately, despite the stunning interior the food absolutely falls flat. The only item that I enjoyed eating was the Japanese Milk Bread. The NY strip and grains severely lacked seasoning and for how much it costs, there are truly better options for steak elsewhere in Austin. The sticky toffee pudding was okay, but eventually became hard to eat after a few bites due to the overwhelmingly sweetness of the cake. I was also disappointed in the service. It took about 20-30 minutes for us to be able to place orders and then when we were ready for the check it took about another 20 minutes to flag down someone. Once I was able to flag down someone, they gave an attitude when I asked for the check. Again, for a high end establishment this is unacceptable. Eberly has the potential to be great given the interior but unfortunately the food left something to be desired. The cost does not justify for the taste or quality of the food, and service. Even if the food was cheaper, that would still not justify the lack of flavor and mediocre service. read more

I've come here multiple times due to it being an all around above average brunch stop. The best parts? The skylight in the nice room for 6 seater tables and that this is still the place with the best espresso martini in Austin. I'm hoping I didn't just get lucky with my drinks, but I always enjoy the cocktails. The food is actually all pretty good. I have yet to order anything that I've dislike (although I don't come here super often, having many people and eating family style allowed me to taste most of at least the brunch menu). The only downside is that the size of the food for most of my party doesn't fill them up enough most of the time.
