I don't remember the last time I've had such attentive, kind, and accommodating service during my dining experience! How refreshing! And an experience it WAS. The wait staff are ON it! Bravo! The fish here melts in your mouth, it's so fresh. If you are a sushi lover, you would be doing yourself a disservice not to try this spot. Absolutely delicious! Tucked away in a shopping plaza, you'd never suspect it to be as outstanding of a sushi restaurant as it is, but dare I say, the food is hands down WAY better than Nobu, Sugarfish, etc etc. I will certainly be back! Really satisfied with the quality of fish and service here. I believe this restaurant has been opened for about 3 years. You can join a waitlist. We tried this spot on Wednesday around 5 and got seated quickly. By 6:30 the entire spot was packed. There's both sushi bar and booth seating indoors. Love their serving size of 4 pieces per roll. For sushi pieces you can order 1 piece instead of 2. The bluefin and uni were my favorite. The Karage was just okay. I definitely recommend all the fishes. Wow! What a great experience! Sammi was a lovely waitress and explained the menu in detail. The sushi was all so fresh and I love that the portion sizes are small so you can try a wide variety of items without breaking the bank. Our favs were the carpaccio, bluefin sushi, and zen roll. Really good sushi! Came here during lunch time on a weekend and was seated immediately. I love how they have physical menus with pictures to look at. We write the items we want on the piece of paper that they provide. We ordered various items such as seaweed salad, takoyaki, sashimi, rolls, etc. They gave us real wasabi for our sashimi which was nice. The sashimi was a thick cut and super delicious. This sushi spot is one of my favorites for rolls and few other Japanese dishes. The wait can be really long, as in, waitlist can be 0 wait one minute and the next minute you check, it has 30 people already on the waitlist! Also, you need to be within 5 mi-radius to get on the waitlist. However, once you made past all that challenges, and are seated, the goodness will come. I like the service here, fast, efficient, and no nonsense. I like how their rolls are shorter/smaller, and cheaper, so you won't get too full if you order too many rolls, though we always ended up ordering too much anyway. I also like their tempura, udon, salmon and yellow tail kama (cheek), and takoyaki. I love all their no-rice rolls, hand rolls, and anything with salmon. How have I not heard of this place before!? I usually steer clear of non-AYCE sushi places, but this will most definitely be added to my top restaurants. As with most non-AYCE sushi, it was a bit pricey, but definitely worth it. My absolute favorite dish we ordered was the monkfish liver, which exploded with flavor! We were in the area craving sushi and if you search sushi on Yelp this place is usually one of the top results. Came in around 8:30pm on a Tuesday and there was no wait. The menu is huge so we ordered a mix of nigiri and rolls. Some of the items we liked were the toro, jumbo scallop, sweet shrimp, and the pepper salmon. For rolls we tried the dragon, caliente, and fire island which tasted pretty much how you'd expect. I'll be honest, the meal reminded me a lot of an all you can eat sushi spot. For the price the quality is decent, nothing particularly special, but good enough to satisfy the craving. I do like that they offer some rolls in 4 piece portions which makes it easier for small groups to share and try more items. Food came out quickly and the service was attentive. Upon entering the restaurant, you immediately get greeted by a very friendly staff member and the atmosphere is very vibrant and lively. We didn't think the amount of food was going to be a lot for each portion, so we ended up ordering a lot only to find out that everything was packed with protein and with the highest and freshest ingredients. Came to Eat Sushi on a Saturday and there was about a 20-minute wait, which honestly wasn't bad at all. I love that you can join the waitlist from your car as long as you're within a 5-mile radius. The inside is cozy but cutely decorated. The dragon ceiling immediately catches your attention. We ordered a bunch of appetizers, but the real standout for me was the nigiri. This is my BF's and my FAVORITE Asian food restaurant in OC. Everything on the menu is pretty incredible. The sushi is fresh and the perfect temp with plenty of different options. In addition to the awesome sushi, they have great side / small plate options including sushi and sticky rice, gyoza, miso soup, and tempura. We usually get the Beef teriyaki, which is served slightly pink with on a bed of sizzling onions over a hot skillet. Or the teriyaki chicken, which is equally as good! The Nigiri are all decent sized cuts of fish with the perfect ratio of nice. Perfect buttery flavor with the fatty tuna and a nice snap on the shrimp. The staff are always very friendly and on top of everything. This place fills up so fast, even getting there when they open does not guarantee you'll be sat immediately. Once inside the vibe is so cool. The lights are dim and there is a chill cherry blossom high end restaurant aesthetic for what is otherwise a pretty small spot. I'm a bit of a hefty eater for a girl but was decently stuffed leaving the restaurant. Ambience and service is spot on with very kind a prompt service from the staff! Perfect spot for a date night with dim lights and food sushi. Only con would be is that it is a fairly small place so coming with a big group of friends of more than 5 people would definitely be a longer wait. Waitlist on yelp close early due to demand and manually entering at the restaurant would give you a long wait time regardless. I was a group of 3 girls and the wait was surprisingly 2 hrs. Came at 5:50pm to put our names down and didn't get called till 7:30pm to be seated on a Saturday. Luckily we ran errands around the area so time flew by easier. Biggest table they had was like 4 -5 booth that ideally fit a group of 4 comfortably fyi Sushi quality was top notch and if you're a salmon lover or tuna lover, we definitely had some favorite favorites here! Don't let the prices or pieces in a roll fool you. The sushi is the size of a large index finger; fish slices are 2.5" with minimal rice. Super fresh and great quality. Rolls are big too. Service is wonderful and patient. Kitchen can be kinda slow. Not surprising the wait can get long, but it is well worth it. I did notice that a lot of the rolls include tempura. While I usually prefer fresh fish on the inside and outside, the ones with tempura were still done well. I'd still like to see more fresh roll options, but overall the sushi is solid. I also like that there's a dedicated no rice roll section. Caliente was my favorite from that category with a nice, slight spicy kick. My favorite roll overall was the Fire Island. Came in based off a social media post find stating sushi rolls were only $7.50. Upon entering the place seemed nicer and more of a sit down restaurant than I thought. We had to wait a few minutes to be seated and it looked like it can get crowded since I saw a Yelp waitlist. The hostess and waitresses were all nice and attentive. Service and food were quick. They have an extensive menu with lots of items. We were looking for the $7.50 rolls without having to ask and it took us awhile but it's some of their specialty rolls and the catch was that it was only a half roll that came in 4 so technically it's the same price if you were to get a whole roll which does usually cost between $15-17 lol good baiting but it was also kind of nice to get half a roll and pay half the price because you can order more/different rolls to try out. The items itself were all pretty good. I enjoyed all sauces that came on top of the rolls. I do want to point out that a lot of their rolls the rice wasn't sticking and kept breaking apart on almost all of the rolls even the California rolls which had no sauce. The fish tasted fresh and I loved their toppings with raw red onions and Serrano peppers. I noticed their wasabi wasn't pasty so I wonder if it was real wasabi and their ginger I loved how they cut it up in small pieces instead of those big long chunks. Im usually a omakase only kind of person because I would rather spend money on quality sushi, but when I'm craving sushi rolls or takeout, EATS is my go to. I've ordered several different rolls over the years and they've been pretty consistent. Packaging is always on point here and they include all the necessary sauces.
