TLDR: Waited an hour for no sushi order + rude waitress Really disappointing experience as we were excited to try the sushi based on a recommendation. $40 AYCE PP. The evening already started off on a bad note as there doesn't seem to be an organized waitlist system -- they seat parties based on whoever arrives first but we were seated after a party that came later despite having the same number of people... After waiting around 15 minutes, we were seated and started ordering what we wanted. Our waitress was busy handling other tables so we had to ask another waiter on 2 separate occasions for water cups, plates, utensils, etc. He seemed confused why our table wasn't prepared adequately. Our first appetizers finally arrived after 30 minutes which included the edamame, some tempura/dumplings, and takoyaki. The portions were tiny but good. Fast forward another 15 mins and the baked salmon roll had arrived which tasted subpar as the rice was incredibly mushy. After waiting another 15 minutes, we asked our waitress if we could just pay for what we had eaten and leave as no one had checked up on us and our order. It had been an HOUR since we were seated and no sushi rolls except one had been served. The sushi chef let us know to wait ten more minutes while he got started on our order, basically letting us know he forgot to make our food. We let our waitress know that we refused to wait any longer and to charge us for what was already served to which she replied with a snotty tone that other places will have longer wait times and rolled her eyes. The sushi chef was kind enough to comp our meal after this disaster, but the waitress left a bad taste in our mouth. Won't be coming back here.

Haven't done AYCE in a long time and am glad I was able to do it here. We ordered many items; it was definitely worth it. The fish was fresh, and the proportion of fish vs. rice was perfect. We also tried a few roles. And I wish I would remember what they were called, but it was all worth it. We did go on a Sunday; it was a little more pricey, but it does look cheaper for happy hour. We will have to come back for that. The server was also very nice and helpful!

Great spot for AYCE sushi with reasonable price and good quality. They serve the food pretty quick.

We stumbled upon this place by chance and are so glad we did! We skipped the all-you-can-eat option and ordered nigiri instead, which was incredibly fresh and delicious. The Lemon Flush Roll was another standout - flavorful and worth trying. A special thank you to our server, Nazanin. She was so sweet, welcoming, attentive, and absolutely gorgeous. Her warm personality made the experience even more enjoyable, and she provided excellent service throughout our meal. We also loved that they're open a bit later than most sushi spots, which made for the perfect late-night dinner. We'll definitely be back!

This review isn't about the food, but the inconsistencies in their service/information. I called on Sunday, January 18, 2026 to confirm with a nice lady over the phone that they are keeping their regular lunch AYCE pricing on January 19, 2026 - MLK Day. I wanted to make sure that my coworkers and I are not walking into some special holiday pricing, so I made sure to confirm that the day prior. To my disappointment, I showed up right at opening on MLK day and the gentleman who was wiping the window on the door said it is only dinner/Premium pricing all day. I was pissed, annoyed, and embarrassed while apologizing to my co-workers who was expecting to pay the regular pricing. We left and I don't want to return because I'm pretty taken back by this.

The rice to fish ratio is the best! Fish is fresh! They also have happy hour M-Th for $24.95 but that only applies to a certain menu mostly rolls. Lunch AYCE is 33.95 and Dinner AYCE is 38.95

Washington Roll, Sweet Hawaian Roll, Rainbow Roll.

Our waitress was amazing and our food came really quick. We got some burrito sushi items and they were delicious. I really love fresh rolls so I ordered a bunch of them as they usually don't ever taste wrong. There was a bitter taste to them that isn't listed in the menu and our waitress told us it's a mustard sauce. It really ruined the taste of the rolls and maybe it could be listed in the menu in the future. I'm only rating the fresh rolls I had. We had 2 other rolls that were really delicious aside from these.

A pretty good deal for their lunch happy hour. But expect the mediocre freshness of some things. The service can be more improved, they're a little clueless about the menu. The rice is also a little questionable. I don't think they used Japanese sushi rice for it, it's just me. But two stars for the lunch deal. But it definitely fills the stomach. Not for the sophisticated sushi clientele!

We tried Koyi Sushi after watching an Instagram reel about all the various rolls and fish on the menu! The restaurant is relatively small with almost entirely indoor seating including a sushi bar and standard booths and tables. When we were there, one server managed the customers while two chefs worked behind the bar, so this made service a little slow sometimes. The menu itself has some pretty decent items but nothing that really blew our socks off: our favorites were by far the magnolia roll, cajun tuna sushi, burrito roll, salmon, eel, and baked green mussels! We also tried the salmon skin salad, samurai roll, shrimp sushi, tuna sushi, albacore sushi, and several other rolls. I enjoyed our visit here, but I wouldn't say the fish quality and service were worth the price we paid for AYCE ($38.95 per person).

My husband and I came here for weekday AYCE lunch and were impressed by the food quality, flavors, and service. Though the restaurant doesn't have much seating, we only had to wait a few minutes for them to clean a table and seat us. Our food came out fast and I got to have my favorites like calamari, eel handrolls, and salmon nigiri. The mango salad was also tasty. We noticed that although the rules state they will charge for excess food, the waitress was kind not to charge a group of teenage boys next to us who over-ordered and were so terrified that they couldn't finish their food. That's great hospitality.

One of my biggest pet peeves about certain sushi joints is the rice is too cold. Koyi rice temperature on the rolls were on point and I was so happy. Thank you for getting the basics correct. I enjoyed the happy hour special. Variety was good enough to pick and choose hopefully even for those picky roll eaters.

Perfect casual spot to grab sushi with friends & family. Parking: Free parking lot. Easy to find a spot. Ambiance/Environment: It's a very casual spot. They have a medium sized space with a decent amount of indoor seating. You can choose to sit at the bar or table. Service: Everyone was courteous, quick, & efficient! The server checked on me a few times ensuring if I needed anything. Since I sat at the bar, the sushi chefs were also making conversations with me. Foods: Their fish was fresh, smooth, and delicious! I absolutely enjoyed everything! I saw they're most popular for the Lemon Peppered Salmon. I can agree, now I know why it's so popular. My favorite rolls are the Mango Salmon special roll. The mango sauce was sooo good! It was a tad sweet but balanced well with the salmon. Although the bluefin tuna was limited per person, it was so delicious. 1. Diablo Roll (special rolls) 2. Mango Salmon Roll (special rolls) 3. Magnolia (no rice rolls) 4. Salmon Skin (hand rolls) 5. Popcorn Crawfish (baked & tempura rolls) 6. Mango Avocado Salad 7. Peppered Salmon (sushi) 8. Ikura (sushi) 9. Bluefin Tuna (sushi) 10. Jalapeño Bomb (appetizer) Pricing: Definitely worth its AYCE price! There's so many options in each category. I only lasted 1.5 rounds lol.

For happy our menu Mon-thur what is the menu is it the same as the normal all you can eat menu 33.96$ or is it a different menu does it include salmon sushi?

Hello, happy hour includes classic roll, fresh roll and bake&tempura roll. Normal price includes all happy hours menu, sushi, salad, appetizers and no rice roll.

Hello, is your fish pre chopped or chopped when ordered?

Items like the Spicy Tuna do come pre-chopped. However, most of the fishes and scallops on the menu are chopped when ordered. You can even see it while you sit at the bar!

Do you allow single diners to do all you can eat?

Absolutely yes. Please come to us enjoy your AYCE sushi. Thank you.…

Are the "No rice rolls" included in Happy Hour AYCE please?

Hello, Our monday to thursday lunch reguler price is $33.95. That price includes sushi, appetizer, salad, no rice roll, special roll, classic roll, and baked tempura roll. If you like rolls, we also provide happy hour Monday to Thursday 12:00pm to…

    When is happy hour?

From Monday to Thursday, 12:00pm to 4:00pm. Thank you.

Can you share your food with others at your table that do not do all you can eat option?

Hello, all you can eat can not share food with no order. All you can eat. Thank you.

I don't understand some of the comments - is it all you can it or is it limited to 3 rounds? Stating all you can eat is false advertising. Anyone know?

We are providing all you can eat. We have 3 round can order and every round how many orders is fine if you can eat. Every round, no limited orders. Thank you.

If some people like to eat in smaller options can they order more than 3 rounds ? Or it's 3 rounds maximum u order bigger portions?…

3 rounds maximum, period. They don't give allowances of smaller orders in any of the rounds. We did not know this so our first round was wasted as we used it for tasting and deciding what to order next, not knowing we will only have two rounds…

    What's the price for kids?

    Under 7 free From 7 to 11 $15.95 Over 11 is same price.…

Is sashimi also part of the ayce menu or is it extra pay?

No. Only sushi and rolls and some appetizers. But the sushi are made generously well because the fish portion is large and the rice portion is small, reasonable and definitely not overwhelmingly filling.

And I am SO glad we did because everything about our experience was seriously a 10/10! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was amazing. The gentleman at the front greeted us and escorted us to our table, and right away we felt welcomed and comfortable. Our server, Quang, was absolutely the sweetest! He was so friendly, outgoing, attentive, and helpful, especially when it came to giving us recommendations since it was our first time there. He had such a positive energy and really made our experience even better. And the FOOD!!! If I could give it 1,000/10, I seriously would. We tried the Ube Cloud, Vietnamese Iced Coffee, Garlic Parmesan Fries, Spicy Shrimp Wontons, Corn Ribs, Garlic Butter Prawns, and Filet Garlic Noodles, and honestly, there wasn't ONE thing we didn't enjoy. Everything was full of flavor and absolutely delicious. But what really stood out to us was that it wasn't just the food -- it was the entire experience. The staff, the atmosphere, the music, and just the overall vibe made us feel so comfortable and welcomed. The music they were playing was amazing too! My friend and I were enjoying ourselves, eating good food, listening to good music, and just having such a great time. The whole place honestly had such a warm, homey feeling to it. When we were leaving, the gentleman who had greeted and seated us earlier ended up having a whole conversation with my friend and me. He was so sweet and personable! He mentioned that they may be opening a location in Culver City, and I told him I really hope they do because that would be much closer to home for me. I was even joking with him that if they open one, they need to bring the whole staff from this location over there too because everyone here was THAT amazing. At the same time, even if there ends up being a location closer to me, I would honestly still make the drive back to this one. When you visit somewhere for the first time and have such a great experience, that location becomes special. You can visit the same restaurant somewhere else, but the people, atmosphere, and experience aren't necessarily going to feel the same. This location definitely left that kind of impression on us. I really hope this review reaches management because the staff here deserves the recognition. Everyone we interacted with was wonderful, and Quang especially took such great care of us. This was our first time at VOX Kitchen, but it DEFINITELY won't be our last. We're already talking about coming back and bringing our family and more of our friends so we can all enjoy it together. 10/10 food. 10/10 service. 10/10 atmosphere. 10/10 experience. You guys definitely gained some returning customers!
