Definitely prefer this over menya hanabi. The nooodles here have a better texture imo Also the agedashi takoyaki was interesting. Definitely worth to try!

Mazemen deluxe is the best here. Dont think, just go today and order the deluxe mazemen. The noodle is bouncy and delicious, it is quite addictive to eat the noodle. Once you start, its hard to stop. They have a picture showing you the steps on how to eat mazemen. You mix the ingredients with the noodle and poached egg, enjoy the greatness once. Then they give you small bowl of rice to add in bowl to mix with the remaining sauce. Enjoy the greatness a second time.

This place is great! IMO it's a unique mazemen experience with friendly staff and casual ambience. The restaurant itself isn't very large and has limited seating, but we didn't have to wait when we showed up for lunch on a Saturday. Food is served pretty quickly and I was genuinely surprised at the flavor. We ordered the deluxe mazemen, chicken karaage, and nankotsu (cartilage). It's a pretty good serving size for the mazemen and it was delicious! Lots of flavors mixed in together and all complement each other. The mazemen had just the right sauce consistency to keep it moist and not dry. I actually couldn't even finish my bowl and had to take the rest to go. The karaage is a nice appetizer to start the meal, but I'd probably skip the nankotsu. The appetizers weren't very large in portion size and would be more fitting for a party of two rather than four for one order. Would return again here for sure when getting the mazemen urges.

Super good! I thought this place closed but they just changed their name from Mogu Mogu to Wadaya. I liked Mogu Mogu better, easier to remember the name. Came here during week day lunch time and was immediately seated. Got my usual deluxe ($20) with a side of edamame ($5). Service was quick. Staff refilled our water. Food is amazing! Will definitely be back!

Service was great, and we came in 30 minutes before closing. The staff were accommodating and told us to take our time, and even explained the menu and different options. We ordered the karagge chicken, the spicy wontons, and a variety of noodle dishes. Everything was flavorful and there are standard ramen dishes, as well as mazemen (dry) dishes. This was our first time here, and would love to return.

Never had Mazemen before which is basically broth-less ramen with various of toppings. We were on the way to Kitakata, but after finding this place on Yelp, we had to check out the hype. The interior is cozy and small with authentic Japanese decorations/setup. Kinda felt like we were eating in Kyoto or something, lol. The lady who served us was friendly and gave us good recommendations. I think she was handling the whole operation to be honest. To start it off, we ordered their specialty chicken karaage and it was very delicious. It has a nice crispy and crunchy texture. The batter on the chicken was good and once you bite it, the meat is juicy and tender. Doesn't really need dipping since it's so good. As for the Mazemen, we ordered the Deluxe and Veggie one, both is a 5/5. Very flavorful and it tastes just like ramen, but without the soup. The presentation of the dish looks like a work of art. Very picture pretty. I ate that shit up within ten minutes. After that they give you a scoop of rice so you can mix it up with the leftover sauce. Lots of umami for sure. Definitely will come back again to try the other flavors. People, trust me and come through!

Server was very knowledgeable! The restaurant is small but definitely worth the wait. There is about 10 tables I think inside and then a cute bar area. The food is delicious! The flavors are so good. Definitely coming back to try the ramen next!

A "hole in the wall" typa place. The mazeman is their specialty definitely give it a try. Very umami flavor, the noodles have a nice texture to it that picks up the sauce easily. Very filling as well!!

We recently stopped by Wadaya and had such a great experience. I ordered the deluxe mazemen and it was absolutely delicious. The noodles had a great texture and the flavors were really well balanced. Everything mixed together beautifully and made for a very satisfying bowl. My husband ordered the spicy miso ramen and loved it as well. The broth was rich, comforting, and had just the right amount of spice without being overpowering. It had a nice depth of flavor that kept you wanting another bite. The service was wonderful too. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome throughout our visit. The restaurant itself is clean, cozy, and has a really comfortable atmosphere that makes it a great place to enjoy a warm bowl of ramen. Overall we really enjoyed our meal and would happily come back the next time we're in the area.

Easy eats mazemen. Went on a weekday evening - lots of parking in the plaza. There was no line and was sat immediately. The vibe is chill and casual. Ordered the deluxe mazemen - comes with pretty much everything (chashu, ground pork, egg, etc.). Keep in mind there is shrimp oil - so if you're allergic to request not to have it added. Was very rich in flavor and the noodles were def filling. Didn't feel super heavy despite all the meat and sauce. Theres a side of rice at the end to enjoy any leftover sauce. Would def come back!

This is a rebrand from Mogu Mogu. We came in on a Saturday at 1pm. It was a very short wait for a table. Maybe a few minutes before one opened up. There are about 9 tables inside. 8 bar seating. 2 tables outdoors. Tori was our server. She was great and had a smile on her face the whole time. They checked on our table at the right times. We got the Deluxe Mazemen. The noodles were thick and al dente. Had just the right hint of spice. Poached egg makes the noodles very creamy. Soft boiled egg was actually soft boiled. At the end they give you a small portion of rice to mix in with the sauce. The chasu was thinly sliced which I liked. It made it easier to eat. Fresh garlic never hurts anybody. Would definitely return.

First time visitor Opening parking Indoor and outdoor dining QR code for menu Table and counter dining option in one main space Clean functional industrial lighting with some Asian elements like the rope curtain and lantern and entry set up Appetizers ramen mazemen bowls and daily drink specials - veggie and vegan options available Simple service with taking order dropping off waters and continue task, nothing out of the ordinary to note Order the deluxe and Tokyo There are directions on the wall how to enjoy it best Resemble the photos in the menu Order came out quickly Literally take a photo and mix for 30 seconds and use of the umami vinegar from what I was told to lessen the saltiness and the provided with a rice ball to soak up all the juices Overall taste for Tokyo: fresh made to order, spiciness creeps in at the end of each bite, firmer chew on noodles, can definetly taste each ingredient in its own way Other half rated deluxe 9/10 - did try a piece of pork and it was thinly slice and tender The rice ball is a nice touch to gather all the remaining goods and I was rolling it around in then inform to smash it up :) Overall hearty portions, good for for solo group outing date night, shareable and not too overly feeling - would return to try more

This wasn't just a "ramen joint"--it was a masterclass in authentic Fukuoka-style soul food. The Broth: Liquid Gold The standout was always their Signature Tonkotsu broth. You could literally taste the 30+ hours of labor that went into it. It had that distinct "frothy" texture (the bubble of the bone marrow) that you only find in high-end Hakata shops. It was rich, creamy, and carried a deep umami funk without ever being overly greasy. The Hits * Black Tonkotsu: The roasted garlic oil (mayu) added a smoky, dark complexity that ruined all other garlic ramens for me. * God Fire: For those who like to sweat, this offered the perfect balance of heat without sacrificing the integrity of the pork flavor. * The Karaage: Genuinely some of the best fried chicken in the area. Massive, juicy thigh meat with a shattering, thin crust and that addictive spicy mayo on the side. * Customization: I loved that they let you pick your noodle firmness. "Hard" was the only way to go to ensure that perfect snap with every bite. The Atmosphere The Costa Mesa location always had a great energy--functional, clean, and unpretentious. The staff were always efficient, greeting everyone with a loud "Irasshaimase!" that made the experience feel truly authentic. It's heartbreaking to see such a high-caliber spot leave the neighborhood. If you were lucky enough to eat here, you know we lost a heavy hitter. To the team at Ikkousha: thank you for the memories and the best bowls in the city. You'll be sorely missed! Note: For those still craving that specific broth, their Torrance locations are still holding it down--definitely worth the drive to keep the dream alive. Come back to OC! !

The person taking our order was patient with us as we ordered even as we were dealing with our toddler. Our requests were accommodated respectfully and to the best they could! Upon first glance, the gyoza looked good, like it was a family recipe and made from scratch! The spicy garlic ramen had thick, and a tasty looking broth and the portion sizes for the ramen looked like decent enough for the price. The taste for the gyoza was good, but the spicy black garlic ramen definitely stole the show! The broth was the perfect level of savory with a delicious blend of garlic that wasn't overpowering along with the pork broth. The chashu was incredibly tender and flavorful and the ramen was cooked perfectly - *chefs kiss*, amazing! The server doesn't apologize - he states it's already been picked up. How? I ask if they don't verify the DoorDash confirmation for pickup. The server Kendrick tells me they do, but scammers show up with the exact order confirmation screen and pick up orders. Honestly sounds like BS to me, considering they have pickup orders by the front door on a shelf that anyone could take. Either way, the lack of an immediate apology or questions to clarify just point to the fact that he assumed immediately I was a scammer. Okay, annoying. But whatever. I want my food. I ask to have it remade - they're still seating people and people are ordering. They're not closing anytime soon. He tells me they won't remake it. I ask why and he continues to insinuate I'm a scammer and a thief trying to pick up someone else's order. He tells me to cancel my order. I'm beyond pissed at this point because I can't even get a refund via DoorDash because it's already being prepared. So I go back and talk to him again. He continues to refuse to cancel the order or remake it. He gets on the phone with a "Peter" who he claims is the manager. It gets really fun from here. Peter listens to my story and says there's nothing they can do. He says scammers do that all the time, and every restaurant deals with it. Okay, so how has it never happened to me at ANY restaurant? And how have I NEVER heard of it happening? So Peter, after refusing to do anything for me for a while, finally says he'll talk to the server to try and cancel the order from their end. Fine. I hand the phone back to Kendrick and he walks inside. I wait 7 min and no updates. So I go inside and ask him if he's canceling the order. He says, "what do you mean?" I tell him the manager said he'd tell him to cancel the order. Kendrick says, "he was telling you to do that". More gaslighting lmfaoooooo. I tell him no, he told you to. Again, I'm pissed beyond belief at this point and again, I can't get a refund via DoorDash because it's already "being prepared". You would think saying that 3 times is enough for them to finally get it but no. I wasted 20 min driving here, and another 25 waiting for a resolution for this BS. Kendrick tells me he can't cancel the order twice. I just ignore him and wait. 3 min later he goes "I canceled it". Like... you guys are acting like I'm the scammer when you clearly are the ones trying to pull some shady stuff. I FINALLY get my refund and Kendrick says, "sorry I just work here." Brother, that's not your line. You say that when, for example, corporate has a policy that no one likes. This all stemmed from you and your team's incompetence. The lying and gaslighting is absolutely crazy. 25 min and they either could've just refunded me or remade my order. A waste of time. I'll never visit any Slurpin again - this was just pathetic. Not a single bit of sincerity or willingness to help. The manager sounded like he was tired of talking to me, and our conversation lasted 2 min (I'm not even exaggerating). If you want food, don't go here. If you want to keep your money, don't come here. However, if you want to be treated like a liar and a scammer from the second you walk in, then this place is perfect.
