cheesecake, key lime pie & raspberry chocolate chip cannoli minis
    Priscilla C.

the sea scallops were perfectly charred with smokiness and the meat was still tender, not overcooked. the pork chops were highly recommended and super tender and flavorful. tried a variety of mini cakes w/ my favorite being the key lime pie. i do wish for all the cakes with the "shortbread/pie" crust part had some butter so it didn't just become a crumble when trying to scoop it out to eat. had a table outside which was quieter and stayed warm with the nearby heating lamps.

Happy hour was great with their $14 flatbread and sip menu at the bar. Enjoyed my Cosmo. We both ordered our filet mignon medium and it was brought to us 90% well done. My partner didn't want to make a big deal about it. I did mention it to our waitress when she asked how our meal was. The manager came over which we appreciated. At the very end of our meal there was a couple with a head turning two year-old who was very loud and disruptive. The embarrassed mother brought the child outside twice and when we were exiting we saw one of the assistant managers happily interacting with the child and couple. It was a very pleasant scene to see that involvement.

Such an incredible spot to go to for a special day! We celebrated my birthday at Seasons and had such an amazing time! We ordered all sorts of dishes like their Mac n' cheese, loaded potatoes, shrimp filled mushrooms, pesto chicken flatbread, gnocchi, side scallops, and their strawberry spinach salad! The highlights were definitely the scallops as well as the loaded potatoes. For people who are health conscious, this spot is amazing because they keep each dish under 600 calories. It definitely makes for a guilt-free experience to enjoy tasty food! I'm looking forward to my next visit!

I've probably only been here less than 5 times. The last time was for a birthday for a table of 9. I showed up first and checked in with a cake at the front. The table was set up and ready to go. The party trinkled in within 15 minutes. We ordered drinks and appetizers to start. We had several appetizers including the grilled artichoke, 2 flatbread pizzas, stuffed mushrooms, and the tuna poke. Who knew artichoke could be so delicious? I definitely wouldn't be able to make it that way at home. I also enjoyed the stuffed mushroom and although several people said the tuna didn't taste fresh, I thought it was decent. We ordered an array of entrees as well. I ordered the scallops and added on a lobster tail for $14 which i thought was a good deal. The party agreed the portions here were generous. I was expecting to receive 3-5 pieces of scallops in my entree, but it actually came with 7 pieces and some risotto and asparagus. I was able to share the scallops with friends so that they could enjoy it too. I was very full by the end of the meal, but we ordered 3 dessert glasses to try out and we had a birthday cake to share. I would add that my lemon drop cocktail was not sweet, so I asked to have it remade sweeter and they were able to accommodate just fine. When the cake came out, the restaurant provided candles which was nice and the birthday person got an additional dessert glass and birthday candle to blow out. The only thing is we had to ask for dessert plates and knife/utensils after the cake was brought out and was sitting for awhile. My phone ran out of batteries during the meal, so I wasn't able to take as many pics. The meal was great though and I would consider coming back!

Dinner before the show! Excellent time, food and service. I had the Vegan Nocchi, so flavourful. Our server Michael was super attentive, helpful, and conscientiousof our time. Thank you for the great experience! We sat outside and the weather wad perfect. The heat lamps helped too.

Came here with my brother visiting from WA since this is one of our go to places to swing by for a delicious meal. We had a very nice dinner out on the patio where we enjoyed the roasted brussel sprouts, the scallops and risotto, the Chilean Seabass and the pork chop. My Chilean Seabass was amazing, a definite 5. My husband's pork chop was supposed to be cooked to a medium but it was more medium well so not quite as tender as he would have liked so he gave it a 3. My brother enjoyed his scallops too which is one of my "go to" dishes. We finished off our meal with a carrot cake dessert which we love the small sized desserts, just enough to satisfy our sweet tooth. All in all a great meal here. One thing to note, today it took a while for our food to come out which is unusual. I'm not sure if they were trying to accommodate the tables that were going to a nearby play but we waited a good 35-40 minutes so I would rate the promptness of service a 2.5 today. All in all I still think Seasons 52 is a solid 4.

Located next to Bloomingdale's at the South Coast Plaza. Plenty of free parking however valet parking is also available. Outdoor seating available- however it is not pet friendly- service dogs are allowed-full bar that hosts a generous happy hour. Upscale, welcoming atmosphere with friendly attentive servers. Good menu variety, reasonable prices- the food was delicious and the dessert menu has yummy decadent choices in perfect servings that are guilt free. Great seasonal offerings.

Always wonderful here. We usually sit at the bar and have met great people there. They have a great wine selection at reasonable prices and the food is great. I have the Alaskan Wild Butterfish - it was amazing. My hubby got the trout and really enjoyed it... I had a taste and like my butterfish better.

My colleague was in town and we met at Season 52 restaurant. It's a beautiful restaurant evoking classic style and ambience with a decor of dark wood and mood lighting at every table. I say all this because it's so noticeable upon walking in as most restaurants these days have a decor completely opposite. Also, they have outdoor seating as well. Still though it's about the food. First they boast that their menu is "seasonal"...highlighting items that are more likely found in season (in this case winter). It's not an overwrought menu, one page for everything...the opposite page for all the adult beverage options. For appetizers we shared: Cauliflower as gratin-think macNcheese without the Mac. The Brussels sprouts were crispy and delicious. For dinner: My colleague ordered the porcini mushroom soup and rated it among the best soups he's ever had and had the same sentiment for the pork chop entree. Me, I got the salmon ( on plank) with a side Cesar salad. I would say the the Cesar was the least impressive, it had croutons and lettuce and that's all that can be said. The salmon was cooked well and served with crispy beans and soft mini potatoes. Overall, a filling, delicious meal. Lastly, their desserts are small, compact and parfait style...offering a sweet ending to a meal while consuming something lower in calories(500 ish per parfait serving) than the average slice of dessert at other place. I chose the cannoli and peanut butter while my colleague chose the pecan...we both agreed they were delicious! This was my first time at this restaurant (as well as for my colleague) and we came away impressed and satisfied. The service was attentive and good...we got seated right away before our actual reservation time. Overall a great experience and if I'm in the area a place to recommend or return.

My sister from another mister lives in San Diego, so Season's 52 has become our go-to for celebrations. The quality of the food is consistently good, the martinis are perfect, and the exceptional service is also consistent. On a recent visit we received excellent service from bartender Ashley and our sever Jose. I noticed a message on the check that said, "Proudly served by" and that's true. The staff here do take pride in delivering great customer service. Thank you, Jose & Ashley, for another memorable dining experience. (Read my detailed review below from my first visit.)

Got the crab cake, pesto chicken and mozzarella flatbread, cauliflower gratin, Brussels sprouts, tuna tartar to share and enjoyed everything. The cauliflower was a standout item, everything else I would get again but would be open to trying something different as well. For my main I got the scallops. They were nicely cooked, not chewy at all and had good flavor. I really enjoyed the risotto as well, it complemented the scallops well. I chose the raspberry chocolate chip cannoli for the mini dessert and really enjoyed it. I went for this one cuz I didn't want a super rich and heavy flavor, and this one had a nice balance of tartness and richness from the cannoli filling. Would definitely want to the other flavors next time because they really did all sound good. For cocktails, I got the Hawaiian pineapple cosmo and blood orange margarita. I loved that they left you with the shaker with the leftover extra of the cosmo. They didn't do that with the marg. I enjoyed both. I also tried my friends cucumber basil smash and surprisingly really loved that one and wanna get that one next time I go. It was a sweet, smooth, and refreshing taste rather than being actually cucumbery in flavor if that makes sense. Like the cucumber melon version of cucumber. Not much basil notes from my memory.

Located in South Coast Plaza, next to Capitol Grille- be careful of allotting extra time for parking because it can get pretty busy during dinner hours. Granted, I was in a bigger group, and so the service was predictably slow, but still, you wouldn't expect to have to wait about an hour and 20 minutes before we could put our order in from the menu Prices are reasonable for a higher-end restaurant, although the lamb chop that I ordered was prepared way overdone, considering the fact that I ordered it rare. It was more like medium to medium well. I also ordered a Caesar salad that was sizable volume, but on the definitive, salty side and a little overdressed. Service in ambience or top notch and I would definitely return but perhaps order a seafood dish instead. That's all

Food: 5* Service: 5* Ambiance: 5* Food Enjoyed happy hour (HH) here before watching the Wiz at Segerstrom Hall. The HH food was largely flatbreads. We ordered their chicken pesto flatbread, Chipotle BBQ shrimp, and the Philly cheesesteak flatbread. The chicken pesto was good, tasty, and well seasoned. Our favorite. The shrimp flatbread was ample, tasty, and well seasoned. Our second favorite of the three. The Philly cheesesteak was not. It was dry, flavorless and needed oil or truffle oil to make it work. We had the Cabernet Sauvignon 'sip' and Chardonnay 'sip'. The cab was great, fruity and tasty. The Chard was lackluster, no butter, no depth. But the portion of 'sip' was great. Very generous and worth the $7 each. Service Excellent at the bar. Very helpful, friendly, and attentive. T.J. Was particularly helpful never let our glasses get empty and very helpful about service and recommendations. The front desk ladies were less so. Dismissive when they knew we wanted to have Happy Hour. Like we weren't worth their time to help. Ambiance The setting is very pleasing. Cozy, upscale, and comfortable.

Is there entertainment in the bar?

No. Years ago there used to be a piano player but that has since been removed.

Hi, has anyone had a lunch event hosted in the outdoor area in July? They don't have fans and I want to make sure th weather is bearable Thanks?

Their outdoor seating is quite nice. Afternoon should be ok because the restaurant is facing east so the sun is already behind the building by then.

What's the corking fee at your restaurant?

I have been looking for same thing today. I eat there several times a month but usually for lunch and do not bring a bottle. I found one website on O.C. corkage fees which said $15.00 but these sites are notoriously wrong or out of date. I do know… Read more

Is there a private dining room with a TV for projecting a powerpoint? How quiet is the room for doing a dinner seminar on a Tuesday or Thursday night?

Yes there is a private dining room and projection screen. The rooms are very quiet any day of the week with doors closed.

How is the Noise level, for people hard of hearing?

I would say it depends on the time you go. I went late afternoon and sat in bar section and could it wast to bad. As it got busier it did get louder, but still could hear. The dining room section unfortunately I can't give the best info for you.

Ballpark number spend per person on lunch here?

    Lunch entrees range from $15 - $18.

Do you have a pre fixed menu?

Is there a private dining room for family celebration?

Yes! I would call in advance to reserve the room.

    Is there happy hour here?

Yes! Happy hour is M-TH 3:00-6:00

    What are menu prices?

Are you looking for specific prices or a range? Appetizers and small plates usually $12-$15. Entrees usually $18-$25 depending on the protein.

We heard it is very noisy?

It's a popular restaurant, and I imagine when it's busy it may be loud. I am sensitive to noise and the noise level has never bothered me.

Are dogs allowed in the outdoor patio?

Is the piano player back yet?

NO! We were so disappointed when we were there two months ago. We were told they haven't had a player since the pandemic started. 😞

    Do I Need Reservation?

isn't strictly needed, however if you wish to get in faster you must make a reservation.

Why was the tiramisu removed from the menu?

The menu is seasonal, including desserts.

If you don't like the seasonal cocktails can you order a traditional cocktail from the bar?

Yes, Seasons 52 has a full bar!

    Is Happy Hour back, yet?

Not yet. According to the people I spoke with last night, happy hour won't be back until full capacity

Will you guys be open on Christmas?

No, Seasons is open 364 days a year. Besides covid, Christmas is the only day the restraunt closes

    Do you have draft beer?

    Bottled beers only

Favorite fine dining / Michelin-star restaurant in OC! Can't say enough great things about it!…read more A super intimate, upscale-casual (smart casual vibes with no enforced dress code) restaurant located in the third-floor penthouse of SCP. The space feels intimate because it's on the smaller side, and they thoughtfully stagger reservations so the dining room never feels overcrowded. You can be seated in the main dining room, on the outdoor patio, or on the indoor patio next to the penthouse shops. I come here at least once a year for my birthday because the staff are genuinely warm and make every guest feel special. They clearly care deeply about hospitality and creating a true culinary experience. Honestly, the entire team is top-notch, but on our most recent visit, Kara took especially great care of us. She remembered our preferences, made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed without needing to ask, and made my birthday feel special while also giving my husband and me space (I dislike when wait staff at smaller restaurants hover - they don't do that at all). The way the staff serves, takes orders, clears, etc. is like a really well-rehearsed dance - they want everything to be paced, smooth, and efficient (without feeling forced or robotic) and it really makes a difference. The food is delicious and beautifully presented, with thoughtful attention put into every detail of the flavor profile and color palette. They NEVER miss. I love how they refresh the menu a few times during the year to showcase seasonal ingredients while still staying true to the restaurant's overall identity. They also have a selection of dining experiences - I always go for the 3 course prefix during lunch and the portion sizes and timing of each course is perfect. Also highly recommend their afternoon tea on Saturdays. Couldn't find a more luxurious afternoon tea experience in OC! I genuinely hope they continue to do well! It's a pleasure to be a guest and feel pampered for a special day or an elevated casual meal with friends/family. Will be back many times in the future!

Definitely will be back for the dessert at least... and maybe the tasting menu. Apple (vanilla panna cotta, tatin, earl grey crumble, granny smith: compressed & gelee, green apple sorbet): You gotta come here for dessert. This was phenomenal. The earl grey crumble was delicious and plays well with the sweet tartness of the granny smiths. I'd say the component that felt out of place was the compressed pieces; they tasted like an fresh apple version of tandra which was too sweet and the layers meshed together. Main diver scallops (cauliflower, romanesco, capers, lemon confit, crostini): The scallops were so juicy and perfectly seared on the top. The cauliflowers were good but lackluster. The server told me there's cauliflower puree on the bottom which was yummy. Lemon confit who? There was an essence of lemon but nothing very present. Crostini was essentially like mini plain croutons. Wild Alaskan halibut (braised & fermented fennel, castelvetrano olives, preserved lemon): Only tried a bite of the fish and fennel. The fish was very nicely cooked and the crust on top was delightful. The fennel was sour due to fermentation but I didn't particularly enjoy it.

Entrance/host lobby area is a little snug. We were sat at a large round table. They had kids menus for my girls. We ordered Pellegrino and a bottle of wine. The caprese was really nice and refreshing. Served with arugula on top. They also added I think fried crispy capers on top omg. So good. The carpaccio was. DELICIOUS! Thinly sliced beef, fresh parmigiana, topped with arugula and capers. Probably one of the best I've had. For entrees, my girls both ordered the hello kitty pasta with bolognese sauce, husband ordered fettuccini bolognese, brothers ordered porcini risotto, linguini vongole, and mamas lasagna. Very dark and moody lighting and great spot for a friend night out or a first date or whatever your heart desires. Service was attentive, patient, and super friendly. Scallop Crudo: 8/10 Bright, refreshing, light, and packed with flavour. Only wish there was more scallop :( Fish Dip: 8/10 I think it had a mixture of three different fish. Probably the best version of a fish dip I've ever had. So many different textures and flavours that paired really well with each other. Only thing that was missing was some kind of vessel to dip into the fish. Tartare: 9/10 One of the best tartares I've ever had too. Again, incredible mixtures of textures and flavours, and the potatoes it came with were honestly so good I could've ordered 10 of them just to munch on to myself. Scrambled Egg Agnolotti: 10/10 Little pillows of goodness. Pasta was al dente, the sauce was divine and honestly wished I had ordered a second serving of this Hangar Steak: 8/10 Wished some slices were a little bit more tender but overall, thought this was a very unique and pleasant dish. The serving size on the steak was huge, especially given the price point, and the sauce and creamed spinach brought everything together wonderfully. I'm usually hesitant to order steaks at restaurants cause it's always a hit-or-miss but this did not disappoint Semifreddo: 7/10 - Super unique and while I'm not a big fan of desserts in general, I found this really interesting and actually enjoyed it.

It's hard to make a direct comparison in terms of food because the menu changes so much, but the notables from our visit include: Kanpachi crudo Kolrhabi salad Wagyu tartare Scrambled egg agnolotti Darkroom burger I'd order any of the above again without hesitation. The maitake mushroom that many reviewers raved about was actually my least favorite out of everything we ordered. Potatoes were ok and had a spicy kick to it. Wanderer steak was average. There is a lot going on with each dish. Lots of sauce and lots of different flavors going on. I wouldn't say complex, just a lot haha. Our server checked up on us often and was great. Even the folks that dropped off each dish were kind enough to ask if we needed anything further. This last visit makes me want to return next time they update their menu.
