Fried Zucchini
Lindsay S.

My favorite E n' P!! We were sat quickly and the server was friendly. I love that Eat n' Park has a rotating soup menu. It was Sunday - chicken noodle & potato soup day! I started with the potato soup (+ cheese) and it was delicious. Creamy with the perfect amount of potatoes. We got the fried zucchini - OMG, yum!! It was freshly breaded, which I was not expecting. It had the perfect amount of thin, crispy breading. So delicious! My husband got the chicken salad. It was a nice portion. Loaded with chicken, cheese and fries.

Workers are always kind and I enjoy their food, especially their soup the restaurant is pretty nice and clean the only bad thing about it, is the time you have to wait for your food

Salad bar

The soup an salad bar is pretty good with a big selection I also got the mile high meatloaf and I have to say it was really good. The service was good I don't have any complaints but the place just doesn't excite me

Whenever we feel like a salad for dinner, we go to the place for smiles. Today the salad bar was stocked.nicely with fresh veggies that looked and tasted fresh. If always hits the spot. Rich ordered a chicken club sandwich with fries - always a good choice. I opted for a new item - the chicken fajita flatbread. Overall it was decent, but it needed a little less sauce and the chicken was overcooked. It wasn't bad though. We had to buy smiley cookies to take home. They're soft and sweet, like me :) Not a bad trip to Eat n Park today. The salad bar hit the spot and we left with smiles.

So this place is a long-term local favorite... You could totally tell. And not quite sure if people…read morehave become loyal because of location or because of the specials such as prime rib and really great hearty meals... But I can tell you your breakfast was very traditional. Nothing super exotic or trendy. I'm a Southern girl so I was looking forward to getting country fried steak, gravy and eggs... They're country fried steak is a special that's named after the owner or one of its friends or something... And all it is is steak and gravy... Kind of interesting for a breakfast dish. No eggs. And was one of the most expensive meals so adding eggs would have really put it over the top for breakfast. So I elected to go with a variation of hash browns that I'm accustomed to getting the south from waffle House... Scattered, diced which means tomatoes, and covered which means slice of cheese. Although they restrict the ability to buy beer and wine in grocery stores in Pennsylvania, there is no restriction on when you can get a alcoholic beverage like there is in the south... Bloody Mary with breakfast at 9:00 a.m.. there was a long line to wait for a table so my friend who's the local went to the other entrance for the package store and saw there was ample room at the bar so that's where we went. We split an omelette and got some bacon on the side. The bacon was clearly oven baked and extremely crispy and is barely flavorful. The waitress was nice and attentive at the bar. And she had the southern charm of calling us honey and sweetie even though she was younger than us. My friend says she used to come by there often when her kids were younger or for their weekly specials. It's a large restaurant so plenty of tables in the traditional space. And I guess because of not having extra weight stuff they didn't encourage sitting in the bar... We sat at the bar so had the direct attention of the bartender. You can see from the menu there's lots of options for food which is probably why it's such a popular place.

Local Monroeville flavor. Big portions... and just that hometown dive that every town needs!!…read more Being Gateway alumni, there is something nostalgic about Gateway Grill. Circling the small parking lot looking for your spot, reminiscing on the alumni sports team photos on the walls, and doing the twist in the entryway to navigate your way to your takeout, Gateway Grill is not much... but the food is usually fire!!! The pizza slices have big bubbling crusts with pepperoni so rustic cut that you will wonder if they accidentally gave you the whole piece... over and over again. Don't sleep on their meatball pizza. Because you will have basically full size meatballs for every slice... and they are delightful. We had family in and bought a large order - and we opted to try their sandwiches. The Chuck Roast sandwich and Turkey Rachel both sounded delicious... and Gateway Grill does have fresh smoked meats too! Takeout is a trip. In a full restaurant, you have to kinda stand in the way at the front counter and flag down someone to grab your order. But they definitely do a lot of to-go pizzas so you'll be able to handle it. Unfortunately, with their current to-go containers, the sandwiches ended up being sopping wet with condensation... the bottom toasted bread on both was basically dripping instead of crunchy. The fries had lost all texture too- air fryer to the rescue. I'd still recommend going - just stick to only pizza when ordering takeout until they find a way to ensure quality of other options.

My Root juice drink was tasty; made me feel healthy after a week of dining out indiscriminately. The server recommended the Kazaam (shakshuka) dish, and it was solid! Angela was professional and attentive, she absolutely did an amazing job! Kindness goes a long way and she mastered that! The food was just as delightful. I enjoyed the Turmeric Chicken Salad - the moist chicken, sweet raisins, and strong taste of turmeric were shockingly well balanced in flavor. It was great. The French Toast was another interesting combination. The strawberry jam with syrup made this the perfect sweet treat. Lastly, my husband left no crumbs with his Patty Melt. He ate it just as quickly as it came! While I wish the interior design had been given more thought--such as displaying pictures, murals, and nicely arranged flowers on the tables to enhance the experience--the food more than made up for what the interior lacked. We both had a wonderful experience here and would highly recommend it to others.

We stopped by on Saturday around 3pm to specifically use the karaoke room. I called ahead of time…read moreand was told that the karaoke room didn't take reservations and that we just had to show up. When we got there, there was a group in there but we were told it would be a half hour wait. We decided to wait at the bar. It was a little difficult to flag down a bartender. We the played the giant connect four game but out of the two available, one was broken and would just hold the chips in place. After the group got out of the room, it took a while for the staff to clean the room but then we were able to use it. The room's technology wasn't great - when you were using the tablet to pick another song, the screen with the lyrics would sometimes freeze. Additionally, there were two mics but most of the time the one didn't work and the other one required that you stand in certain spots in the room. It was only $15 per hour to use the room but I'm not sure I would come back and use it.

We were visiting from California and were excited to eat here, so we had a few questions about the menu. The Black female employee who helped us was very short and rude when answering our questions, making us feel like we were inconveniencing her simply for asking. To make matters worse, the cups we were given were dirty. When we politely asked for the tab because we no longer felt comfortable staying, she responded by saying, "It's cool, you all can just leave." That level of customer service was shocking. Earlier, she had also rudely asked our group if we could move to another area of the restaurant because they had a large party coming in. We were happy to accommodate the request, but the way it was communicated came across as dismissive and disrespectful. I understand everyone has difficult days, and I always try to give people grace. Throughout the entire interaction, our group remained polite and respectful. We simply wanted to enjoy a good meal while visiting from out of town. I'm genuinely disappointed because we went out of our way to come here based on its reputation, only to leave feeling unwelcome. I hope management addresses both the cleanliness issues and the level of customer service, because no guest should be treated this way.

During the day, they had ample street parking and the cute patio is such a wonderful touch to enjoy a coffee on a beautiful day. We came for a light lunch and midday pick-me-up, so we chose the Cookie Butter Cold Brew, Iced Oatmilk Vanilla Latte, Grilled Chicken Bacon Ranch Panini, and a Croissant. The drinks were delicious! The Cookie Butter Cold Brew was a monthly signature drink, but I would get it as often as I can! The crumbles of cookie with the pillowy cold foam was such a refreshing coffee. The latte was perfection too. They definitely make great coffee drinks. The panini was freshly made with sous vide chicken, fresh bacon, and ample ranch dressing to dip in!! The chips were Metro Deli Kettle Chips- which is a new brand for me, but very well resembled a fresh homemade chip. The croissant was so good that we went back up to check out their other baked good options. We grabbed a Breakfast Cookie. It was a peanut butter cookie with oats and chocolate chips. The size was big enough to split and warmed up for a second... the cookie is ooey gooey!! The decor is so unique with a pin map to show where the coffee is sourced to a mini book shop to read while sitting or buy to take home. Even had he not done that, I would have praised the restaurant and the meal. Service was excellent, I got an old school drink, which was made perfectly, and our steaks were fantastic. We were happy not to be upstairs where it sounded extremely lively. We are old, and a booth, near the bar was exactly what proved to be the best place for us. The French onion soup was a banger. Very savory and salty, nice layer of cheese on top, and plenty of cooked onions. They hit and did not miss. The entrée was good - gnocchi with sliced chicken atop a sort of corn elote / chowder / cojito confection. The gnocchi were stuffed with asiago, but I tasted more corn flavor than any asiago. I'd say, for the price of the food (and wasn't cheap), it wasn't out of this world flavor-wise. But the vibes were cool and the cocktails looked interesting. I'd cone here again to try another dish.
