The meatloaf dinner I had was terrible. The Brussels sprouts that I was served look like oysters. I didn't even know that was the vegetable being offered. It's been a minute since I've been to a Bob's Diner. I do enjoy the diner scene. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad, a side of fries and chocolate java cake for dessert. The buffalo sauce on the salad was a good amount of spicy heat. It was a big salad. The side of fries was a little small for the price. I got a lot a tiny pieces like it was either the bottom of the bag or end of the ones they just cooked. The chocolate in the chocolate Java cake hide the Java but was still tasty. Busy morning, got sat at a table that was broke. Asked the server if we could have a table cleaned next to us. Only for the host to cause an embarrassing moment. Tried to explain and she wouldn't not stop saying I understand but I need this table. Horrible that no communication was given. She seen it was being cleaned because we asked for it and she wanted to move another customer to the table. Or server walked away without defending our reason. The way it was handled was really unacceptable. I didn't argue I simply got up and walked out. I have been going to this place over 10 years and travel there often. Service was great. Was seated immediately after I walked in by a friendly employee. My waitress was also extremely friendly and made helpful recommendations for food. I ultimately ordered a turkey bacon Swiss sandwich which turned out to be fantastic and was delivered to me within 5 minutes of ordering. This is very staple diner food. Nothing special, nothing to go out of your way for. Just a solid diner where you'll have a diner quality breakfast. The shredded hashbrowns tasted like McDonald's hash browns, very greasy, and I loved it. Make sure to order them extra crispy I will say the pancakes were a let down. Yes they're "big" as in circumference but they were very thin. Not much fluff going on there which is a big disappointment. This place is adorable... The interior is so bright and cheerful, and the staff is great. If you're there for breakfast, I highly recommend the eggs Benedict. It just needed a touch more sauce I think. I also got the peanut butter pie to go, so I'm excited to try that. We had Beatrice as our server. In my opinion, Bob's Diner makes the best Chicken Fried Steak in town. The outside breading is crunchy and the interior meat is extremely tender. The meat must have been beaten to a pulp with a meat tenderizer and brined because I have been back at least 5 times just for this. I also normally add a side of corned beef hash to round out this satisfying breakfast. On a few occasions, the wait was too long so I was not able to get in to eat; I later found out that they were short staffed that day. read more

Bob's is a great diner with good food and has excellent servers. A couple of suggestions that I would make is to have a dedicated person to clear and clean the tables on weekends and holidays. To have the hosts or servers try to do this isn't good use of their time. Also, if there are people waiting to be seated because of it being crowded, have them wait in their car or outside. It's very frustrating to have people hovering over you as you are eating and the servers have a problem weaving their way through the throngs of customers waiting to be seated. And one last suggestion, never have the host take a to go order over the phone when there is a line of people waiting to pay their check. Okay I've eaten at a lot of dinners this one I have eaten at more than once, the coffee sucks, and it's just brown water, this place is a little pricey on the diner side, so you would hope for at least good food but that's not the case here it is okay and that's all it is okay and for the prices I don't want okay, my friend had pancakes that were nice size, bananas and pecan, I hardly seen any bananas on top of it and she thought they were dry and trust the syrup is like water, I know they don't give you real maple syrup anywhere you go, but at least the syrup is syrup, this was watery, $7.50 for a plain waffle, and it was just okay, I have had the veggie wrap and it was just okay nothing to write home about, now I will say the service was excellent read more

Parking is ample. Meals are large and so delicious. Specials today were pumpkin pancakes and quiche. The pancakes were large and covered with cinnamon and sugar. Yum. Always a fair price and a quality meal. Whether it's dinner lunch or breakfast, you can rely on Bob's to get it right. Large portions, friendly staff and reasonable price points keep everyone coming back. It's a great example of a great diner doing things the right way. I wish there were more diners like this. Returned for my second trip here with my partner. The service is really fast! I had the patty melt. It was fine. A little wet and the patty was kinda chunky for the bread. Very little flavor. My brother and sister-in-law invited me for lunch at Bob's Diner yesterday. We're it not for their invitation, I probably would never have experienced this gem! First off, I don't live near Carnegie and rarely go there. Second, I'm not much of a diner fan. We'll, I'm here to say I'm a Bob's Diner fan! We met Sunday after church so, of course, there was a wait. We were told 25 minutes and it was pretty close, maybe a few minutes less. We waited outside because it was a beautiful day. Had it been cold, you could wait in your car because they call your cell. There is no room to wait inside. I had an omelet with hash browns and raisin toast. It was spectacular! My brother had a patty melt and sil, a Rachel sandwich. We were all very happy with our food. My brother also loves their Philly cheese steak. I live downtown, so Carnegie is not too convenient, but Bob's is definitely worth taking a drive for! read more

It's delicious, it's relatively cheap - it's my local diner! I've eaten at Bob's a couple times (for breakfast and lunch), and have always enjoyed my meals here. My breakfasts have included an enormous pile of strawberry French toast complete with syrup, whipped cream, and strawberry filling. During other visits later in the day, I've gone for salads or sandwiches. Everything has always been delicious - always fresh, always served quickly, and always served hot (well, except for the salad greens!). The diner itself is pretty cozy; in fact paying before leaving can admittedly take some time if the place is busy, as you have to wait for someone to come to the register and check you out. But that's pretty much the only drawback I've come across at Bob's so far. Hopefully I have a chance to come back and sample a little more of their menu soon! read more
