I came in here and was met with the friendliest woman at the front! She was so kind and gave me so much patience as she helped me plan my first order here! Our new favorite Thai restaurant we are so fortunate to have in our Logan Square neighborhood. We've had numerous dishes there and appetizers and everything is solid.! Their pad Thai is always on the mark. Pad See Ew delicious, and has no fishy flavor that I find sometimes in other restaurants, even if you ask for no fish sauce. The drunken noodle is tasty, as well as all their curries we've tried. The vegetable dumpling is very fresh and the fried tofu is done just right. This place feels like healthier Thai food than other places. Not overly salty, and fresh not overly cooked vegetables or overly fried foods. It truly feels like a family own business, and they're frequently cranking out food from their kitchen and serving with a smile on their face. They are super friendly and appreciative for our business. They are cute and sometimes offer complementary treats. We've only ever had takeout here, but we look forward to eating in the restaurant soon, as it's often very lively in the dining area. read more

Our first time having EaThai in close to a year, and all I can say is shame on us! As I said in my review a year ago, the freshness of the ingredients, coupled with the balance of flavors and resistance to overly-American the dishes, makes EaThai the premiere Thai spot in the area, and perhaps the city. The portions, as you can see, and great (for example, there were eight baby shrimp with my pad thai), and takeout containers are packaged perfectly. They look like top quality dishes right out of the bag, and they taste like it too. We live a little closer to at least one other Thai spot that is our usual go to, but if I'm honest, there's simply no comparison. Great menu options. Perfect execution. And lovely staff. Located squarely on the corner of N Kedzie and W George in Logan Square, this small Thai restaurant features a cutely decorated interior with very clean, organized, and well-coordinated vibes and decor. I went with a friend on Friday for lunch, and it was pretty empty. I usually don't order Pad Thai when I go to American Thai restaurants because they're usually a miss, but I was really craving it, so I ordered the Pad Thai with beef. It tasted amazing! It was even comparable to the tastes and textures of the Pad Thai I had in Thailand. While a lot of Pad Thai is usually either a sticky clump or way too watery, these noodles had a perfect texture-- sticky, while still retaining their individual shapes and textures. Something I love about Thai food is the mix of different flavors-- sweet, sour, and spicy-- and the flavors here similarly hit the spot. Although I ordered mild spice and it wasn't spicy at all (next time will definitely try the medium), the flavor still had an excellent, balanced mix of sweet and sour. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. Though the beef was kind of overcooked, the eggs were cooked perfectly and really enhanced the flavor of the dish. The portions were also well-sized especially for the price ($12.95), which is relatively cheap for Thai food in Chicago. I also ordered the vegetable egg rolls appetizer, and my god it was so perfectly crispy. Each bite gave a nice crunch and the inside vegetables were warm and flavored well. The service was also phenomenal-- super friendly, attentive, and quick. At one point, I accidentally dropped a chopstick on the floor and the server brought a new one for me within seconds. Decided on carryout solely due to these stellar reviews on Yelp, but alas, I do not agree. Three star, bland basic at best and pricey. At this rate of spend it surprises me that they do not spice their food but give you a side so that you can DIY. Don't send me messages about their workforce or limited work space argument and blah. Stop by their restaurant and see a full team of folks in the kitchen hard at work. The ingredients are fresh and the plates looked inviting but that was it for us. At this $$ spend I expect something more than bland. The restaurant itself isn't much, the personality of counter staff are welcoming and engaging. Bummer we ordered and picked up on a Saturday night for 3 adults and 1 child. We ordered 4 egg rolls. Another appetizer and 4 entrees. First, they completely forgot one of our entrees and we were not about to go turn around and drive back and get it. They credited us for it. But this in turn was not enough food. While we were full enough the portions aren't huge and missing an entree I feel like we had no leftovers which we always like. We could have had more for sure with the portions. The food was fine, nothing we ate was amazing and nothing was bad. I felt like the veggies came out of a frozen package like the peas and carrots you get in the freezer section. I guess it's playing safe! Otherwise, flavors are good. We would highly recommend the Thai Wings (spicy)- super crispy and the flavor was unique, dry rub. Sum Tom (papaya salad) was light and refreshing, but I wish it had more flavor. Spicy chicken wings These were crispy and delicious! It was hot and tasted fresh. The seasoning on the chicken alone was good but with the sweet & sour sauce it tasted even better. Thai fried rice (medium spice) This tasted good. I'm always caution with ordering spice levels at Thai restaurants because sometimes medium is spicy. I would say the medium here is not. Sundays are usually homemade pizza night, but sometimes we don't give ourselves enough time to pull it all together. Tonight was one of those nights, so we settled on Thai and EaThai. I ordered the shrimp pad thai (hold the egg) with medium spice. Husband got the Thai wings (hot) and the chicken Pad Kee Mao (hot). I rarely order pad thai, I'm usually disappointed, but this was quite delicious. I wasn't sure how I felt about the noodles being mostly broken, but I preferred it, because it wasn't a tangled mess. There was also a healthy amount of shrimp. Husband said the wings were cooked perfectly and enjoyed all six. He really enjoyed his Pad Kee Mao noting that next time he'd opt for Thai Hot instead of regular hot. Delivery was a breeze and prices were very reasonable. We don't live that far, so I didn't expect a long wait, but when my phone rang, I was expecting it to be an order clarification, not the driver on our porch. I greatly appreciated them not including chopsticks or utensils (at our request), we always ask, but only a fraction of places actually comply. It helps us be a little less wasteful.
