If you're like me these are the things you look for when you hire someone. Gus and Chris are the epitome of all of these. This is the second time we hired Gus. He was very responsive to emails and questions , on time every day, and very clean/organized which was much appreciated since they were working throughout my house. He and his team also went above and beyond, see below for more details. I will be recommending Gus to anyone that is looking to hire a professional painter. His pricing is fair and his work is exceptional! Above and beyond moments: Paint color choice - After their first day of painting master bedroom/upstairs hallway I was having a touch time visualizing the color we chose to run throughout the entire house. He was very professional when I told him I was unsure. He consulted on alternative colors, brought additional samples he already had, and even ordered a couple samples. I had about 1/2 a day to decide and I did not feel rushed. Gus did a great job communicating the timeline and when it was going to start costing more money. The process ultimately made me feel very confident with our color choice and we are very happy with the results! Scope Change - We added on painting wrought iron railings, the week before starting the job. He was able to accommodate the additional project problem! Unquoted trim work - There was 4 months between quoting and job start. I forgot that we had discussed that I planned to paint the space on our windows between the shutters and the window. (I was in a money saving mindset, I said I will paint the trim/baseboards). I asked him about that section and he reminded me it was not quoted. I left for the day and he and his team went ahead and painted them anyway, with no added cost.

My husband and I were looking for materials for our bathroom remodel. Tiles, Vanity, countertops,…read moreetc. We came in on 2 different occasions and I can not recommend Granite Expo. On our first trip, it was busy and no one really seemed to want to help. Since it was our first time, we walked around for about 2 hours really trying to narrow down our decisions. Some of the displays are confusing as to what the prices and choices are so it was a little difficult. If you were lucky enough to get a sales person (we were not) then maybe you were able to get more info. We wrote down our choices and left. I came back by myself during the week hoping it was not as crowded so that I could actually get someone to write me a quote. When I walked in the front door, there was a young women sitting at the first station. She looked up and said good morning. I said good morning and then I went to look at the bathroom vanities. I knew I still needed help, so I walked up to her to ask for help. She turned from her computer monitor, looked me in the eye and said "I am busy right now" and went back to work. What? OK, that was rude. When she saw I was still standing there, she looked to the gentleman to her right and said "Oscar, you are too busy to help her as well, correct?" Oscar looked at me and said I can help you in about 10 minutes. I wish I had gotten her name because she was incredibly rude and disrespectful. After a few minutes, Ocsar tried to help me. I could tell he was rushing and really didn't want to help me so I just gave him some of my choices so I could at least get a quote. I think if you are a contractor they treat you better than just a regular person coming in to look and get prices. My contractor was not with me, so maybe if I had brought him it would have been different. For me, customer service is terrible, pricing and choices are confusing if you are just trying to look around and overall this was a bad experience. I would not come back, especially if someone like the young lady talks to customers that way. We wound up going to another bathroom company to ultimately purchase our vanity, cabinets and counter top.

Oscar and his team, Dario and Joshua, did an amazing job with our exterior house painting project…read more They worked hard and got our one story stucco home done after we waited out the heatwave that kicked off July. Our house was overdue for new paint after 10+ years since our diy paint job and we decided to hire professionals to get the job done. After researching painters, Oscar was recommended by a friend - who saw some of his work in a different neighborhood. From the start, Oscar was attentive, honest, friendly, and accommodating to what we wanted done. We knew what color we wanted for the base color with an idea for the trim and no clue for the door color.  Oscar is very knowledgeable and helped with matching a good trim color and lovely door color that tied everything together. He also offered some ideas to help enhance the look of the house (ie garage door color, color on the stucco popouts) that we took him up on and the overall result looks amazing - like a whole new house! We have security gates and bars and opted for Oscar and his team to paint them as well.  Oscar, Dario, and Joshua arrived early each day and did great work. They were meticulous, courteous, always kept us in the loop, and cleaned up. The care they had for our project really reflected in their work and it was a good overall experience from start to finish. We will definitely hire Oscar and his team again for any painting needs. Thank you so much!

LONG POST! Let me…read morestart this out with we have spent a lot of money throughout our home renovation at the Turlock Lowe's. We went there early this morning to rent a insulation blower. It was probably the worst experience I have ever had there. No one knew what they were doing and had my husband and I running around getting barcodes looking up item numbers. We were at the pro desk thinking they were pros. We asked them for the machine that we needed for the insulation and they said they don't know if it works. So we waited about an hour for them to finally get the blower out from wherever it was. When they brought it to us, they told us they don't know if it works or not. I asked them if they can plug it in and they did not. They said we would have to pay for everything. Take it home. Try it and if it doesn't work, bring it back. So we paid. Then we asked for assistance loading our truck with 20 insulation bags and the insulation blower which is extremely heavy. They said they would go in to get someone. And they never came back out. We waited for a long time and eventually had someone else meet us there to help us lift it into the truck. Once we're home, the machine shut off every five minutes and we would have to wait between each bag to let the machine cool down before it would work again. THE WORST PART, is that my husband went to take it back just now and once again was sent to multiple desks, telling him they don't know how to return it. I don't understand. That is literally their job. Then he asked for someone to help him unload it. For some reason they could not find anybody???? once again how does that make sense. My husband proceeded to try and pull it out of the truck by himself. Hurt his back and still no one was out there to help him. I have never been so disappointed with Turlock Lowe's before. We will be taking our business elsewhere from now on. DO NOT GO THERE IF YOU NEED TO RENT ANY MACHINE. They do not know what they are doing.
