It is nice walking into Ace, and being greeted by someone who asks if you need help. Try that across town. They have an excellent selection of bbq rubs and sauces. I have to give these guys five stars the service here and second to know they're always there to help you if they don't have it they'll help you find it. Selection is okay and the prices are competitive . I don't mind spending a few extra dollars to know that there are people that want to help you get the job done and are very knowledgeable. read more

I always prefer ace to the larger chain stores and I love my local store but I stopped here on a trip up to Shaver Lake recently and honestly, this may be the best one...like ever! I just needed to grab a few things but this is a great size store with lots of offerings; very clean and organized inside. The customer service here was great but honestly, I always feel like I receive great customer service at any ACE I go to. Staff help me find whatever I need and also answer any questions I have about whatever project I am working on an even make suggestions. Typically, you pay a little more for what you buy because of that and to me, it's more than worth it, however, I felt like the prices here were incredibly reasonable and possibly better than big box stores, for what I needed at least. They even have Birch Beer in stock here and gave me free seeds when I was leaving! I love to garden and they could easily be selling the seeds for $2 or $3 a pack but they just let me grab some. This is definitely a company who values customers and knows how to keep people coming back. read more

I purchased a window air conditioner and I asked at the time what the return policy was. 3 weeks later I tried to return the product only to be told that it can't be returned with out the box. They did not mention this when I asked about their return policy. I told them that the "box" it came in had a separate bottom and had to be held together with straps and it wasn't a true box that you could put anything in, therefore I didn't keep it. They agreed but still wouldn't accept the return. I won't be shopping at Ace. Give me the Amazon's of the word that have good return policies. read more

I called ahead to confirm a pool vacuum was in stock, and they told me it was available and would be set aside for me. I drove 30 miles based on that, only to get there and be told they had no idea where it was. Their system said it was in stock, but clearly no one actually checked. No accountability, no follow-through, and no solution offered. Just a complete waste of time. If you value your time and money, I suggest shopping elsewhere. read more

I actually like this place but their prices are unreasonable. I just bought two pots and I think they were mismarked. Each was 12.99 but the size is different. Tried to call but their phone system is whacked. If you want products at a reasonable price you need to shop at the big box stores. read more

We were so happy when we heard Ace Hardware was coming to town! The recently opened store is located in the former OSH building. Prior to opening, quite a bit of construction was done to prepare for the new occupant. My husband needed an item for a home improvement project he is working on so we decided to stop by Ace to pick up what he needed. We were pleased at the selection of items available. The BBQ section was amazing! Even though we don't need a new grill, they have a lot of accessories to offer. I wish we would have had more time to look around, but what we saw was wonderful! We will definitely return and look forward to our next visit! read more

Yes we all miss Orchard Supply but I am very Happy that we got Ace. I love the fact that you are always greeted when you walk in. The store is always clean. I like this little neighborhood hardware store. It is so convenient to pick up something without having to enter the craziness of the other hardware stores in town. Pros: Knife sharping, paint mixing, key making, and a variety of nuts, screws, etc. that you can purchase individually. Service is good and employees are pleasant, ALWAYS!!! Reward program. I have never received a "reward" but do receive coupons. Easy parking. And they will help you carry out items when asked without you having to wait. Cons: Not a variety of items. No lumber. Curbside pick up is not reliable. read more

My Duaghter and I received such fantastic service by Monica and a couple of her coworkers after having experienced major diappointment with curbside pickup at Lowe's where our order was prepaid, the wrong item was brought out, and then we were told a contractor had just purchased 108 pieces whereas we needed 16 and had waited at curbside for over an hour. At Ace, we did not preorder, had our load in our car within 20 minutes of arrival which included a call to see if they had our item in stock. Everyone was so kind and helpful! I definitely see ACE as my future go-to spot! One of the reps even took my card inside to run the payment for me! Awesome staff! Thank you Monica and co-workers! You rock! . If I could give negative stars, I would! I had three white associates following me when I was looking at a Yeti display. One of them approached me aggressively and got in front of my face to ask whether I needed something. There was no greeting, no friendly approach, and no respecting of the 6ft apart rule. There was another associate waiting right behind her and yet another associate behind me. Why there was a need for three associates hovering over me? I have yet to understand. I felt inclined to ask if something was the matter, but I decided not to, as I am not a confrontational person. I had been on the hunt for the perfect Yeti cooler and was excited to find that Ace had what looked like a good variety in stock. All I wanted was to buy my cooler and be out of there, but after that unnecessarily discriminatory encounter, I'd rather spend $400 somewhere where I feel like they respect me and appreciate my business. I have never experienced feeling attacked and ambushed by associates like that in any store. I felt the urge to write this review because neither I, nor any other consumer deserves that kind of treatment. In other words, racist environment. Take your money elsewhere! read more

Very disappointed. Placed an order on Thursday, and it said it would be delivered on Saturday the 20th. I even got an email confirming the 20th. I didn't receive the delivery so I called and got hung up on 4 times, when they transferred me to customer service. Finally the 5th call I got through and was told they don't deliver on weekends, not what the website says. I wanted to support the smaller stores but I'll be going back to home depot. read more
