I decided to stop for a bite to eat after a nearby appointment. I had never been to this location before, and I found the drive through to be a bit tight and oddly laid out. I assume that is simply part of being located downtown where space is limited. The driveway and patio area could use a good sweeping, which would really help improve the overall appearance. Since I do not frequent Dunkin', I was not quite sure what to order. I simply asked for "something sweet to drink." When I noticed they had a breakfast combo that included a drink, I decided to go with that option. The employee on the intercom was incredibly helpful and patient while I figured things out. When I apologized for being new to the Dunkin' world, she genuinely smiled and assured me it was no problem. Her kindness and patience made such an impression that I asked if she would be willing to have her photo included in my review. She seemed pleasantly surprised and said that had never happened before, but she was happy to oblige. As I exited, the drive through leads straight through another parking lot, which felt a bit unusual. Again, I assume that is simply part of navigating a downtown location. Had a very nice experience at this Dunkin. Ordered a medium decaf iced coffee and a multigrain bagel with strawberry cream cheese. The girl at the register was very sweet. She called me Ma'am and was super nice. I asked her if she could make my coffee nice and chocolatey and she definitely delivered. It was delicious and exactly how I like it. The bagel on the other hand, which she did not make, was a bit burnt and they didn't bother to put the cream cheese on it. They threw it in the bag with a knife. And, when the other girl went to give me the bagel, she screamed out the order and I was literally the only person there and I was standing right in front of her. That's why I took off the one star. Hi everyone! Because I am a vegetarian, I decided to substitute with coffee for this week. After a day of classes and seeing the stormy weather outside, I decided to grab a coffee from Dunkin'. I come to this location quite often and usually go through the drive-through out of convenience. The drive-through service is decent; however, sometimes I may have to repeat things, but my order comes out correctly, which I appreciate. Today, I ordered a medium iced caramel macchiato with five cream and five sugar (yes, I like my coffee very sweet). My amount was about $4.00, which I think is a suitable price for the amount provided and it benefits those on a budget. I've been going to this location nearly daily for over a year. Have given them thousands of dollars. I placed an order for a toasted bagel with cream cheese using my points this morning. They tell me at the window they're out of bagels. Ok, I say what can you offer me instead? She says a croissant. I don't want a cold stale croissant from yesterday. I ask for a refund. They say they can't refund a mobile order. Ok, well can you at least give me a croissant sandwich? No, the cost of the bagel is 3.84 and the sandwich is more. This location is pretty mediocre. I use it because it's closest to my new job. I never feel a warm welcome, see all smiling faces, or have speedy service through the drive thru. I will say that the fire roasted vegetable burrito bowl was delicious. It had corn, cauliflower, black beans, rice, and bell peppers. I was craving some donuts and this was the closest place to pop up to us on Postmates Got a dozen variety of donuts and all of them tasted really good and fresh. I think one of my favorites was the double fudge donut and I'm not even usually a fan of chocolate cake donuts. I also ordered the new signature latte in Blueberry Crisp. That being said, sometimes I need something a little stronger than my k-cups at home. Dunkin' Donuts is conveniently located near UAB, and with a drive-thru, it's a hoppin' spot around 8AM. So hoppin' that the drive-thru line is usually holding up traffic on 6th Avenue! Sometimes the line can take FOREVER, and I've often been tempted to just drive off, but then I'm reminded of the caffeine, and steer my car back in the line. It is basically plain cake without glaze or any other extra "distractions". The location is easily accessible to downtown and south side. They also have a convenient drive through. Literally drove all the way here from McCalla, we get here and the doors are locked. It's 4:30 in the afternoon. I suggested they put a sign up. It a bunch of children running things. Playing inside while we sit at the window watching. Very unprofessional. Out of most flavors of ice cream. Don't go it will just make you mad. Will not be back. read more

Oh my goodness. As sweet as the workers are at this location, this is probably the saddest experience I've had in any restaurant/coffee shop. I walk in and browse the menu, then when I decided what I wanted I go up to the register. There is no one there. I stand there waiting for a good three minutes it seems, which is long when you're waiting in line for something. Finally as another customer walks through the door, she comes up to the register. I order a vanilla chai frozen. She rings up a hot chocolate, and a hot vanilla chai. Then rings ups a third drink. I am one person. I'm not getting three drinks? I corrected her, and she was able to just give me just a vanilla chai. She hands me a steaming hot vanilla chai instead of the frozen one I ordered. I politely asked, "Is this mine?" She says it is, so I just thank her and decide to suck it up and drink whatever she handed me. The vanilla chai was delicious, but not what I ordered. Our food came out fine and the coffee was hot. The frustrating thing was the our friend order a small coffee behind us and their order took 15 min, and after a few of hey we're missing a coffee did they get it to us. After living in Atlanta where Dunkin' is THE place to go for coffee, it was strange to me the looks I got when I recommended it for a quick Saturday morning. DUNKIN' DONUTS (GENERAL): I know it's a chain, but they really offer a wonderful selection of donuts for every taste. Although I'd rather go to Krispy Kreme or a mom n' pop shop for old fashion glazed, I always B-line to Dunkin' for their toasted coconut flavor and (more recently) the pumpkin pie flavor. Similar to pizza, to each his own- some people like donuts light and melty, but I like the dense, cake and sour cream donuts, which seems to be Dunkin's specialty! I visit this location at least 3 times a week to get coffee before work. The line never takes too long, and the staff are prompt on getting your order taken quickly. I got a large iced caramel coffee with skim milk to drink, and a bacon egg and cheese wake up wrap. Today the coffee was perfect, but the wrap was a little stiff. The worker in the window was friendly as well and wore her mask properly. Since I was in the drive thru, I was not able to see if they were following social distancing. I never leave reviews but this dunkin was absolutely terrible. they obviously had no idea what they were doing and something was wrong with everything we ordered. the girl didn't ring any of the coffees up right. we ordered 2 of the brown sugar cold brew drinks and neither of them had the actual cold foam on them. i also ordered 2 of the everything bagel minis and 1 of the chive and onion. they gave us a couple plain bagel minis instead of the everything bagels. there needs to be some serious training done at this location. read more

The staff is always friendly and they have lots of other food besides donuts that is actually quite good. I particularly enjoy the chicken salad on croissant with a sweet tea. A spilled my entire piping hot extra large coffee over the entire floor of my car. DD staff was super nice and friendly. When I went back to give me napkins and fresh cup of coffee. Be careful and watch your server- i saw one repeatedly handle money from dozens of customers and each time, turn around with the same gloved hand, pick up donuts and food, turn around handle money and repeat- a serious health code violation. They have boxes of wax paper next to all the donuts so it's sanitary but this person did not use them. Report this kind of stuff to their manager. On a side note, coffee is incredibly weak- adding an espresso shot turns it into real coffee, otherwise it's just watered down coffee. Donuts good as always and bagels are excellent. read more

Of all the DD ive been in my life, this one clearly is the worse of ALL. In general, i believe the service in every DD ive been too it has been excellent. This location, is different. They are very slow, half of the time food taste like leftovers. The ammount of times ive receive wrong order is also to mention. I do like their coffee but i have decided not to eat more at this DD location, too risk. Went through the drive thru and had to repeat our order 5 or six times. When it got to us, it was all mixed up and cold. We had to go back inside and get our orders correctly made, but came out still with the wrong food. Had to go BACK in and dealt with rude customer service. The first Dunkin in the area is a decent little place. I'm confused by everyone that says this is the best coffee they've had, but I'll concede it's pretty good for a chain place. The donuts are as to be expected--they're more dense than Krispy Kreme, but still plenty sweet to pack a morning sugar rush. The parking lot is good-sized and looks to be shared with the Fish Market next door. There's a few tables and stools inside if you're up for sticking around, as well as a drive-thru for quick trips. read more
