Good donuts, but not more than a usual chain. The maple icing wasn't very flavorful, but not bad. The don't holes were nice, but they too weren't terribly flavorful.

The best Mexican food in Homewood is in a donut shop. Insanely good food. Very much a taco truck type menu at lunch and breakfast.

Donuts are always delicious!!! They have an excellent breakfast burrito that is always a 10/10. Servers are frequently nice and relatively quick with food preparation. Vibes inside are fun. A must stop if you love local food!!!

So I am not sure what happened, maybe they had a change in ownership, but their donuts are no longer square even though the box still says "Our donuts are square because we don't cut corners".... except they do, they really do! Not a single square donut in the case lol. I actually asked the employee about it and he said they don't do square donuts anymore, so sad. So when I first found Yoyo in 2017 and left my initial review, I thought they had the best donuts in town. After the last and today's visit (had to go twice to verify!), I can no longer say the same. They are still good and I would still go if I was in the area with a craving for a donut; however, I wouldn't make a special trip to specifically go to Yoyo anymore.

After having lunch at a nearby restaurant, we came here on a late Saturday afternoon. My niece wanted a milk tea , which she said was good. We also grabbed a few donuts while we were here.. Since this was our first time here, they were nice enough to give us two free donuts! Extremely friendly staff & nicely decorated with coffee and donut decor. For the free donuts we tried the Oreo and beignet donut. The beignet donut was the exact replica of an actual beignet as far as taste. A little dry though. I didn't taste the Oreo donut but presentation wise , it was decorated nicely. We purchased a lemon filled donut for my mom and she enjoyed it. For this to be a donut shop , I was taken aback by the fact that their menu consisted of Asian wings, fried fish , tacos , burritos, etc. Perhaps these items do well on their menu but I'm often leery of places that have such a random menu. Overall , we enjoyed our visit here. Maybe I'll try some other items on their menu in the future.

Great first time at Yoyo Donuts! First, my coffee came out steaming, which was great, but it was very weak. They also have 8 different syrup flavors and can make specialty drinks like lattes, etc. The burritos must be made to order which is great, but the wait was a little bit longer than I had expected. I ordered a bacon and chorizo burrito. They even have avocado inside, which was great! They had tons of different flavors of donuts. They were a little bit dry on top (particularly the coconut), but still good! The service was 10/10! When I come back, I think I'll call ahead for the burritos and probably skip the coffee!

Pretty cute hidden off little donut shop which also sales Mexican food. I only came for the Boba tea but just had to try a donut because they were right in my face.. how could I resist! I chose a cinnamon donut which was reaaallyy soft after I heated it up. The bread was great and the donut flavor itself was pretty good. The one I chose wasn't too sweet! The Boba Teas I chose were the Mocha Milk Tea and the Earl Grey Lavender! So good but I'll probably keep going to Ikko for my Milk Tea runs since it's a bit closer AND their cups are larger but this place will be a second. The server seemed shy and was not very responsive when I complimented the shops affordable prices but he was quick!

HIDDEN GEM! This place has incredible breakfast tacos. I'm from Texas and this is the first place I've found real legit breakfast tacos like this. Highly recommended!!!

I had a sweet tooth baaad! Got a donut or two.. this place is kinda tucked away. It's a very interesting concept of Mexican food and donuts on the menu.. Heeey why have two separate buildings when you can cook and bake in one lol. I had a blueberry donut cake. The best! Sorry no pics. I demolished it. The icing on top was different from anywhere else I tasted. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area.

What sets it apart isn't just one standout feature--it's the rare combination of variety, quality, and fair pricing all in one place. Start with the produce section. The vegetable selection is genuinely impressive, with enough variety to build vibrant, fiber-rich salads that never feel repetitive. Whether I'm in the mood for something earthy and hearty or light and crisp, there's always a fresh option ready to go. It's the kind of produce aisle that makes eating well feel effortless rather than like a chore. Then there's the meat counter, which might be my favorite part of the store. Hometown doesn't just stock the basics--they carry cuts that most grocery stores overlook entirely. Fish backs, pork riblets, braised ribs--these are ingredients that serious home cooks know are gold for stocks, slow braises, and deeply flavorful one-pot meals. Finding them fresh and well-priced, rather than having to hunt through specialty butchers, is a genuine luxury. And that's really the heart of it: the prices. Everything here feels fair, even generous, given the quality you're getting. In a landscape where "fresh" and "affordable" rarely show up together, Hometown manages to deliver both without compromise. Shopping here feels like being let in on something the rest of the world hasn't caught onto yet. It's not flashy or over-marketed--it just consistently delivers. Honestly, more grocery stores should be built this way: thoughtful variety, real freshness, and prices that don't punish you for wanting to eat well.

Nice atmosphere. There were two small groups already there, and I get the impression it is kind of a hang-out for some high school/young adults. The staff was friendly, and even though we'd indicated we'd had boba tea before, they were great at giving the whole tea spiel. I'd seen lots of colorful teas and fruit and such online, but we were just looking for the standard milk teas, as a good one of those is essential. My daughter got a taro with boba which was going to be my pick, so I quickly chose the Cinnamon Roll from the wall, which is winter melon milk tea, winter melon and cinnamon (syrup) drizzle, and boba. The boba was still warm in the bottom of the cup, which was an interesting first for me. But the boba was generous, and the drizzle gave it a sweetness and flavor that definitely tasted like a cinnamon roll. My daughter said the taro was a little bland, and on sampling I kind of agree that the taro was a bit mild. I did have one issue with my cup. When I went to pick it up, I did so from the bottom and it splorted out the top of the straw; I felt like a kid with a juice box, though I definitely didn't pick it up with any type of Hulkish vice squeeze. I don't know if it was because of the warm boba or just a thinner cup that was softer to touch. Picking it up close to the top of the cup helped. I do like that there is a closer boba tea option than there ever used to be, and while it wasn't my absolute favorite boba tea of all time, it's definitely some place I'll return to try a few more of the traditional milk tea options.
