Uji Matcha Latte
Westyn R.

Leafly meets all the requirements of an amazing tea/coffee spot. It has plenty of options, chill and unique ambiance, friendly staff, and open late. The service is quick and everything is affordable as well for what you're getting. This can be a study spot or a quick lunch + pick me up (hello waffle pops or building your own Korean Ramyeon??)) and easily a coffee date. For my first visit I grabbed a matcha latte in the evening. Although there's staff, there's also some kiosks to order from. The hitech menus are a nice touch. The matcha latte was even nicer. It was sweet with chocolate drizzle to go along with the rich umami of the green tea. A friend of mine ordered a Vietnamese coffee and they said it was great (I could also tell by how quickly they drank it).

Absolutely LOVE it here! The ramen bowl with their extra toppings was DELICIOUS. The s'mores milk tea is perfectly festive. The earl grey milk tea with creme brûlée cold foam tastes like cereal milk and a crowd pleaser. The Vietnamese coffee is my favorite and actually tastes like strong coffee! Bonus that it has chicory! The blueberry crunch mochi waffle is the perfect light dessert with a little tang from the blueberry. There's so much to try and so many sweet treats!

The tastiest boba and teas in Birmingham! Leafly Boba has a huge menu of teas to choose from and freshly made mochi waffles. We tired the Gingerbread Milk Tea and the Cinnamon Egg Cream Coffee. These are both seasonal drinks and they were phenomenal! You can adjust the sweetness and add boba to all the teas here too. While sipping on our drinks, we ate some ramen from the dry goods selection. They heat up the ramen there and offer toppings that you can add. Toppings include spam, cheese, nori, quail eggs, and green onions. Post drinks and ramen came the mochi waffles. They are made to order- served fresh and warm! There's a few different flavors to choose from, each with their own combination of a sweet drizzle and cookie crumbs. All in all, the drinks are to die for and the mochi waffles are too good to skip. I beg of you, please, pay Leafly a visit on our next venture downtown.

Ooooh love this boba tea spot! It is tucked into the cutest new development. There's some seating outside and plenty of seating inside. The workers are so sweet and available to give great recommendations. We tried a more refreshing tea and a more milk based tea - everything was delicious!! Will be returning soon!

This was a place my girlfriend suggested and they had many options. It was different but it was pretty good. The inside was small and cute. They have a swing!!! The service was so nice and he gave me free water. lol.

Cool owners. They know my friend down here and were very conversational and hospitable. Understanding with all four of my kids, too. Wanted to try the boba here in AL and see where it was at compared to HI. ---- these guys are doing great. keep it up. -Aloha

I love Leafly Boba!! The drinks are so good and the owners Huy & Min are spectacular. They have so many different drinks to try and the prettiest most Instagram-able decor. My favorite drinks are the Earl Gray, crème brûlée and the Matcha lemonade.

Black Sugar Jasmine Milk Tea

If you are looking for more authentic milk teas, then Leafly is for you. These are *not* the neon and bubblegum colored drinks concocted with syrups and usually way too sweet. My standby is Black Sugar Jasmine Milk Tea. It's sweeter than something like the Dark Roasted Oolong, and the jasmine makes it light and fresh. I also tried a Black Sugar Boba Mochi Waffle Pop, because of course, more boba! Super fun to eat, and I look forward to trying the other flavors of mochi waffle pop. Leafly was a little hard to find, but a lot of that has to do with the construction in the area and Urban Supply not being fully occupied yet. Leafly is right in the middle, facing a open courtyard area. Also, if there's a Barons game, parking may be a little hard to find, but the Urban Supply development and surrounding area is easily walkable. That said, I will make it a priority to visit anytime I'm in the downtown/Railroad Park area.

Cookie Butter Milk Tea

Had the Cookie Butter Milk Tea with Boba and it was pretty good. This was my first time trying boba and honestly had a positive experience. Couldn't decide what I wanted because they have so many options that look amazing! My barista did really well on my drink and his customer service was delightful. It's such an amazing atmosphere. Very chic place. Will be returning very soon and this time I will know what I want to try!

Fruit teas are what you want to get here at Leafly. PASSION FRUIT, MANDARIN, and TROPICAL FRUIT are all phenomenal fresh flavors. I would skip the VIETNAMESE COFFEE and THAI TEA - both are too watered down for my tastes. All the MOCHI WAFFLES are served with a side dollop of whipped cream to dip in. Definitely don't miss out on it! Service is accommodating, quick, and courteous. Parking is slim, but if you can walk a few blocks you can find street parking. Beware there is lots of construction going on here during the day. Most of the available spots are taken up by the workers here.

The vibes are nice here! Love the decor, space, and games. The mochi waffles were delicious. I do like their drinks but the boba is not the best I have had. It's not as whole and chewy and lacks flavor. Overall I do still enjoy this cute cafe!

I just love this place!! The service always great! They know their tea stuff here.. the music is always a vibe. Can say enough good things about this place! Check them out!

Mango green tea and Thai tea
Alison L.

Great space to study and get some work done with very helpful and kind staff. This is the best boba in Birmingham! The drinks are not too sweet or heavy and are so refreshing. We tried the mango green tea and Thai tea with boba. Will definitely be back again.

I was specifically super excited to try their seasonal matcha special, which was made with horchata (also from Salud!) and strawberries, if I recall correctly. Unfortunately, we walked in only to find they were out of the supplies needed to make the drink. :( I was caught off guard and didn't know what to order, but the barista recommended a latte with maple flavor so I went with that. The interior was clean and spacious and had a relaxed and calm but energetic feeling to it. Good place to hang out or work quietly. There's a self-service area to spruce up or fix your drink or grab lids or stir sticks. Service was nice and my drink came out quickly. It was pretty good but not really the "right" drink for me. I like my stuff on the sweet side and this was much more balanced and coffee-forward. That said, it held its own against my sugar-craving taste buds and I drank most of it, which is usually the hallmark of good brew, lol. I don't really blame them because I blanked on what to order and just went with what was suggested. It's probably a great suggestion for lots of other folks! Would be happy to come back and try a different beverage. Seems like a nice place overall. :)

Tyler was great with helping make my selection of drink and I loved how patient he was with assisting on the order. The feel of the space was very comfortable and welcoming to creatives. I love the location and how it is in walking distance to so many things. Thankfully I was able to find a parking spot across the street and didn't have to pay to park. Basic. is the store sharing the space and it is nice to be able to browse their inventory while waiting for your drinks. Everything seemed to be environmentally conscious which is always nice to see.

The space had a lot of people inside--many working or meeting up--so it had a lively, productive vibe. Meow! We ordered the Abyssinian Latte with vanilla and cinnamon, and it was absolutely the bomb -- warm, smooth, and perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. The space itself is incredibly cozy and inviting. Colorful furniture, eclectic paintings, and musical instruments hanging on the walls give it a creative, artsy feel -- like they actually get used by a local band after hours. It has that relaxed coffeehouse charm where you could totally imagine Phoebe Buffay singing "Smelly Cat," yet it's also calm enough to have a real conversation or get a bit of work done on a laptop. Parking is street parking only, but we didn't have too much trouble finding a spot. They offer pastries and I noticed they also serve breakfast items, though we stopped in just for coffee this time. The shop was fairly full, which is always a good sign, but there were plenty of small tables that comfortably seat two to four people, so it never felt cramped. The baristas were super friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive vibe. My partner and I ended up lingering longer than planned while we talked through our day's plans -- always a sign of a great coffee spot. Warm atmosphere, delicious drinks, and kind staff make this an easy five-star experience. I'll definitely be back to try more of their cat-themed creations!
