Went recently in the early evening. Thought we were beating the dinner crowd in the shopping center as parking can sometimes be a little crowded with 2 restaurants and surrounding retail, but parking was already filling up. Nice atmosphere. There were two small groups already there, and I get the impression it is kind of a hang-out for some high school/young adults. The staff was friendly, and even though we'd indicated we'd had boba tea before, they were great at giving the whole tea spiel. I'd seen lots of colorful teas and fruit and such online, but we were just looking for the standard milk teas, as a good one of those is essential. My daughter got a taro with boba which was going to be my pick, so I quickly chose the Cinnamon Roll from the wall, which is winter melon milk tea, winter melon and cinnamon (syrup) drizzle, and boba. The boba was still warm in the bottom of the cup, which was an interesting first for me. But the boba was generous, and the drizzle gave it a sweetness and flavor that definitely tasted like a cinnamon roll. My daughter said the taro was a little bland, and on sampling I kind of agree that the taro was a bit mild. I did have one issue with my cup. When I went to pick it up, I did so from the bottom and it splorted out the top of the straw; I felt like a kid with a juice box, though I definitely didn't pick it up with any type of Hulkish vice squeeze. I don't know if it was because of the warm boba or just a thinner cup that was softer to touch. Picking it up close to the top of the cup helped. I do like that there is a closer boba tea option than there ever used to be, and while it wasn't my absolute favorite boba tea of all time, it's definitely some place I'll return to try a few more of the traditional milk tea options. read more

The Boho Montevallo location is CLOSED !! They closed it last week . I preferred this location to the Alabaster one . They were friendlier. Too bad. We will see if the Alabaster one will survive. read more

They had the cutest area to sit and have a drink with a friend. Very cozy. The girls working were very nice and helpful. I loved the menu on the wall with all the photos and ingredients listed. I wanted them all! My drink had heart shaped gummies Omg!!! The best! I wish I lived closer. I'd be here every day. read more

Execellent customer service was received from the ladies at Boho Tea Bar. The vibe here is simply amazing as there are plenty of options to choose from and they even offer a special selection of holiday flavored bubble teas. This place also has a really nice Christmas set up and is a cool place for having a chill coffee date or to get some work done on the laptop. It's not too loud and not too quiet. There is music playing but it's light and holiday-esque. Like it here for sure! read more

I was SO excited to hear that a Boba Tea shop had opened in alabaster! Boho Tea is a lovely, tranquil space with incredibly friendly and helpful staff and delicious drinks and baked goods. The shop is just lovely, with exposed brick walls, tons of plants, and antiques. They provide free WiFi, board games to play, and a charging station for your devices. There's ample seating, with tables and chairs and comfy couches. The first time I went in, I had my kids with me, who had never had boba tea before. My son is funny about textures sometimes, and the seeet girl taking our order was SO patient and let he and my daughter try the lychee stars and some of the popping boba before they placed their order. He got a blueberry tea with blueberry boba, she ordered a strawberry lemonade with strawberry boba. Both drinks had edible glitter in them, making them as pretty as they were delicious! I ordered their Zen drink, a creation off their menu of lavender milk tea and honey, with lychee stars in the bottom. SO DELICIOUS! The owner told me all of their honey is locally sourced, so I was excited about that. I also tried a Traditional Japanese Soufflé, which had Nutella drizzled on it per the cashiers recommendation. This was delicious, dense and not overly sweet. They sell other baked goods like cookies and brownies. The second time I went in, the shop was technically closed, but the owners waved me in, along with several people who came in behind me, and offered us all free drinks that they had made to photograph for their social media pages. I had the Pina Colada this time, it was creamy and delicious. Definitely something I wouldn't mind mixing a little rum into next time! Go support this lovely new local business! This is like a 3.5 stars. I've been here two times now since they opened approx a month ago. The first time was pretty great; the boba was really good consistency, the drinks we had were all great tasting, and the customer service was awesome. One of the people in our party had never had bubble tea before and they let her taste the different bubbles. The second visit yesterday was ok. Some of it was likely what I ordered because the drink was really sweet. However, the boba was not consistent; there were some really hard bobas, meaning not cooked all the way, and some almost "disintegrated" bobas, meaning cooked too much. I wonder if they just threw a batch on top of another already done batch? If I'm in Alabaster, I'll probably stop by if I'm craving bubble tea. However, I don't know if this is worth making a special trip out to Alabaster. read more

I love both of the locations! We discovered the Montevallo location first, and now we've been 4 or 5 times within the last month. I loved the Coconut Kiss. This is the only place I can find that has coconut popping boba, which is my favorite. The staff at the Alabaster location are so friendly. Will definitely be back!! read more

The place is very cute, decorated very nicely and clean. Their menu has helpful pictures to show what you are ordering with the ingredients in it. The drinks were made quickly and looked just like the pictures. The Hello Kitty drink was really good (strawberry and taro) but the peaches and cream tasted more diluted than creamy. This place is truly like no other in the area -- a true hidden gem among the shops of Alabaster. Out of the 10+ times I have gone since the store has opened, I have had beyond a pleasant experience each time. The staff are relatable and friendly and always greet you with a genuine smile. Iris, especially, has been particularly warm and hospitable. It's been a joy getting to talk to them each time I visit. The menu has a massive selection of drinks (and you can even customize your own!) and a respectable amount of pastries, each of which has been well worth my money. In the odd case that you don't like your first drink, you are sure to find one you love among the rest of the menu. My favorite fruit tea/lemonade so far is the Rainbow Road, while my favorite milk tea is hands-down the cotton candy. Whatever you like - sweet, bitter, spicy - they have it or are willing to adjust drinks to meet your desired sweetness, bitterness, etc. If you are in the area, you absolutely MUST visit this establishment. Super cute decor inside, love the creative drink names. I also love the boba books inside the shop. The boba also had a good chewy texture--which can be hard to get. However, my tea was way too sweet even after asking for less sweet, they do not offer options like less sweet or less ice (like at other boba shops), and the flavors were very artificial tasting. I could not even taste the tea in my drink. Good boba tea uses good quality tea, and good quality ingredients. I didn't see any fresh fruit or fresh ingredients used in the shop. I am an avid boba connoisseur, and I may judge a bit harshly since I have tried boba all over the world, but I think this place could do better with the actual drinks. I don't want another soda or juice--I want a tea drink when I am drinking boba. This place has a lot of potential, so I hope they will work on improving their tea blends and the ingredients they use. read more

I stand at the bar waiting for someone to address me and nothing and all 3 girls working looked at me awkwardly after I asked about A specific type of drink.
