Such a cool place. I have a thing for chili mango and not a lot of places have them for obvious reasons.....but I can always satisfy my craving here! Lots of varieties of ice cream and popsicles. Probably a lot of other good stuff too....I just don't know about them! I do wish they have a menu with more details on them.....and seeing some prices really wouldn't hurt either, ha. For example, I would love to know what people are eating that's in that Dorito bag.....Dorito chips and..... what?? That's okay. If nothing else, I will stick with my chili mango and be plenty happy!

Great place to grab some ice cream or popsicle. Seating is very limited inside and out. My daughter got the bubblegum flavored Popsicles I think it was a bit too much for her because she really didn't need it..

This place is too cute and amazingly authentic. I came here with my family as we had gone out to spend some quality time shopping and eating. We came here after the mall to try it out and we were so pleased! The ladies working there are so sweet and patient. I was able to try the ice cream flavors if I wanted too but just picked some that sounded good to me. We ended up getting an esquito, ice cream, pudding, and coconut chunks. It was all great and a really good price. The decor in there is loud but so cute and fitting for the place. I loved seeing that other locals were there with family enjoying the spot. Overall it has such a good atmosphere and brought a lot of emotion to me. I definitely think you should support this spot and try some authentic Mexican treats they serve. They have savory and sweet treats for anyone out there. Please support them! :)

What a cool place... pun intended. Fellow Yelper Paul took me here. It can best described as a Mexican Baskin Robbins except instead of 31 flavors they have more like 62. It is located in Hoover across Lorna Rd from Best Buy. It's a little hard to find since they don't have a very large sign out front but once you find it, you won't forget the bright paint outside. There is ample room inside with bright colors and lighting. Their paintings and decorations remind me of a kid's fun playroom. There are traditional large coolers that contain a myriad of popsicles. But what makes this place unique is that in addition to their large selection (think Steel City Pops) of ice cream flavors, they also have popsicles like chocolate banana and guava! Oh they also have shaved ice (think Bahama Bucks) and banana splits. The picture of chocolate covered banana split on the wall was really enticing. If you're not in the mood for anything cold, you can just get a traditional Mexican soda and order some nachos or fresh cooked churros. Paul tried the shaved ice with tamarind. It wasn't my cup of tea. I love tamarind as a spice in cooking but it was a little too strong for me as a flavor in shaved ice. They also added chille to it so it had a really good kick. I wasn't as adventurous and just tried their guava popsice. It was surprisingly good... seeds and all! If you're the adventurous type, this is the place for you. If not for anything else, just check this place out and see all the different "flavors" available.

Love this place! They offer a wide variety of unique sweets and snacks. The popsicle options are amazing. One freezer is filled with popsicles that are made with cream and another has popsicles made with water. Each freezer had about a dozen different flavors. Some of the more unique flavors are the pine nut popsicle and the raisin popsicle. All of the popsicles are made on site. I tried the lime popsicle with chili sauce in the center. It was the most unusual combination of flavors that I have ever tasted! The lime was super tangy and the chili had a mild spice to it. It caused me to make some crazy faces. I was on the fence on whether I liked it or not, but by the end I couldn't get enough. It was great, and I'm ready to explore other flavors. La Sabrosita is rooted in it's Mexican heritage. Some of the traditional Mexican desserts include Churros Rellenos (fried dough rolled in sugar and cinnamon), Diablitoes (shaved ice with tamarino sauce) and Mangonada (fresh mango with chili seasoning). This place is legit!

This is truly a hidden gem in Birmingham. I got the elote prepared in a cup and their homemade strawberry drink. Both were incredible and I would encourage anyone in the area to try it out!

La Sabrosita is hands down best ice cream in Hoover. This was my first time to La Sabrosita in a while and it was just as good as always. They usually have a small line, but your order is taken in a minute or two. Their ice cream flavors are always different. I got the banana split today with snickers, birthday cake, and strawberry cheesecake flavored ice cream. I love that there are actual chunks of the flavor in them. It's a little pricy, but you pay for what you get.

So freakishly good. I am hooked on the banana split roll up. Can't wait to try other sweet concoctions. The popsicles and bubble tea look great too. A sweet treat for any time of the year. I wished they delivered!

This place has delicious authentic snacks and desserts. Best Esquites (Mexican Street Corn) I have found in metro area.
