They also have a little selection of weird candies and old time candies. Everything is by weight, so you can mix and match and put whatever you want in the little bags. It is not the biggest candy store I have been in, but it'll do.

This would be a great place to treat your grade schooler after a good report card, and even better one to stock your "candy bar" table for your next event. Sugar also rotates their seasonally themed offerings. They carry every color jelly bean, gummy, and M & M imaginable. I love to put a smaller clear glass cylinder inside a larger one- fill the space with some of the above- choosing colors based on occasion-and then put water and flowers (like gerber daisies) in the inner one. Grouping several of different heights together in various colors makes a festive centerpeice. I also discovered an abundance of the kiddo coveted Sour Belts. Which- for a Pintrest addict means- edible bow making material! Lastly, the owner is also the operator, stock girl, and cashier. Which makes for a very clean, very well run, very service oriented, very friendly, atmosphere.

It seemed like Mexico's version of a "China Town" or "Little Italy" in Hoover. I have not seen anything like this around here. My friend Tina and I tried Mexican sweets here, and I also had a snack of the Crazy Doritos. This place is very whimsical and cute. Perfect for kiddos and families. There is a ton of space too. They have ice creams galore here. It was hard for me to choose! I went for the prettiest one I saw and that turned out to be the Birthday Cake flavor. It was delicious! Tina had the mangonada that looked very good. I was wanting a salty snack too, so when I saw the Dori-Lokos or "Crazy Doritos" I knew I wanted to try it. The lady working there asked me twice if pork skins was okay for her to top onto them. I said sure. Little did I know what I was about to experience! They were actual pork skins that were like a cartilage or jello like texture. I assumed they would be like the crispy bagged variety you see in stores. It was an experience for sure! I liked it, but I probably would not order it again. The Crazy Doritos were also topped with a sort of nut that I liked, cucumber, and hot sauce. I just can't believe I was not in Mexico when I came here. I'm really glad we have places like this that can make some people feel like home and allow other to just have a different experience. It sure was memorable!

The nachos were just okay to me , nothing special. I was expecting a tastebud explosion but it never happened. Personally, there was way too much cheese and not enough crawfish. The cheese / crawfish ratio was extremely off. I couldn't eat them all. I also had a small strawberry lemonade/ pineapple sno cone. The sno cone was extremely refreshing and the perfect size. I would definitely order again. My sister had the shrimp nachos and she said they were just okay . Nothing special but she really loved the crawfish nachos she previously had at another event. The service was relatively fast considering we were at pepper place market on a Saturday morning.

The menu has classic New Orleans dishes such as jambalaya, red beans and rice, gumbo, and étouffée. The menu also offers unexpected variety with the option for shrimp nachos. I tried the powdered beignets, crawfish étouffée, and strawberry snoball. My food was ready quickly, which I appreciated! The snoball was very refreshing. The beignets reminded me of Cafe du Monde. So they are a definite must-try !!!! The crawfish étouffée was delicious but could have been a little more spicy. If you see this this food truck definitely get in line and try something. Next time I will definitely be getting a bowl of seafood gumbo. #BirminghamEats #Farmersmarket #SaturdayMarket
