Delicious! I had a Dulce de leche churro and vanilla ice cream Would be nice to have a combo instead of having to order them separately The dulce de leche churro was yummy I got vanilla ice cream on side, it was standard. Service is kind but you have to pay for bottled water or they send you down the hall to the water fountain Maybe they're trying a bit too hard to be European. This is Alabama lol. Water and ice should be free especially in July with an order. Stays busy. Prices are fair.
This little novelty spot at the Summit is always SLAMMED with people- think line out the door. But don't worry because the line moves really fast. They specialize in churros and ice cream. They have a pretty extensive menu of ice cream flavors, but I'm here for the churros. Get one filled! A filled churro with Dulce de Leche is one of life's little pleasures. I've also had the Nutella filled, and it's good but very rich. The prices are good too!
We came here on a Sunday evening. Not too late, and I thought we had waited long enough for the newness to die down, but we had not. The line was wrapped around inside and by the time we left, outside. From our pictures you can see we ordered three churros. Two were incorrect/incomplete from what we ordered, and all three were stale/cold/not fresh. I understand wanting to move customers quickly, but quality over quantity gets me back any day.
Overall, the food was decent, but the experience definitely could have been better. We came in on a Sunday evening after shopping at the Summit. The place was PACKED. It took a long time to get through the line. After placing our order for three churros, which we got to go, we didn't see them until after they were placed in the box and handed to us. Considering the line had now made it's way out the door, we just went ahead and walked out. When we checked - two of the three were not what we ordered. While they were still good, it was disappointing that they couldn't get the order correct - it was a fairly simple order. We may come back, especially since we love churros, but we'll probably give it some time to work out the kinks / newness and hope it works out better the next time.
My son and I stumbled up on this family owned and operated business by chance. This cute shop has taken the perfect churro and made it better......SAY WHAT! For a very worth it $5.50 per churro you can select your filing and their assortment of filings. I enjoyed a Bavarian filling and topped it with their St. Patrick's Day sprinkles. The flavors all worked very well together, still allowing the cinnamon sugar flavor of the original churro to be present. Even filled my churro still had the crispness you'd expect from this delicious Mexican pastry. You might wonder how you eat this, I simply slid it out of the sleeve is served in. The family that owns and operates this shop put a lot of pride into what they're serving and you can taste the love in their offerings. They also do serve up coffee and ice cream if that's your preference. I definitely recommend a visit to this business if you're in this area of Birmingham.
We came in on a drizzly Saturday night. The staff was very friendly and service was quick. The churro had a variety of options that you could use for fillings and toppings-we selected a Nutella and a strawberry filling. The atmosphere was marble and similar to something like an old time train station with the black/brass detailing. The churros were a little thin but we did enjoy them overall.
Ambiance-Small and tight area inside shop. Food-The churros are smaller than I thought they would be. Ours were not fresh. They were not even warm. Service-We were served pretty quickly and the staff was nice. They messed up our order on 2 out of the 5 churros. The lady wrote down our order on a sheet of paper. They are a new business so grace extended in this.
We were greeted quickly and able to sample some fillings. Ended up with Bavarian filled with cookie butter topping. So good
First time at the Churro Station! The people were super nice and even let us try anything that we had questions about for taste. I got the original churro with Nutella drizzle and my best friend got churro bites with Bavarian cream and sprinkles!
Man, yes!!! I am a huge churro fan. These folks got the recipe RIGHT! My order was perfect. One strawberry filled one caramel filled with Bavarian cream, dipping sauce on the side. You can also get peanut butter or Nutella filling. They have a variety of toppings also. There are also some savory options.
Great sweet treat spot! I was pleasantly surprised it was served warm! I got the Nutella filled and it was divine. The inside was soft and doughy and the outside was crunchy with a cinnamon sugar coating. Could've eaten 10 more
An absolute delight!! Finally, a great place to get churros in Birmingham. I have been a fan of their since before the new shop at the Summit (when they worked out of their cart). You have to be patient with them at the new store, as they just opened and have been getting busy. The owners are very sweet and work hard to bring joy to all their customers! I hope to try all the endless combinations of churro toppings.
I saw this business while driving in the area and decided to give it a try. I wish they had one in my area. The different churro filling and toppings are vast. The toppings offered are bacon bits, chocolate chips, m&m's, etc. The fillings are peanut butter, chocolate, etc. Every churro that I ad was delicious, and the staff is very friendly and excellent customer service. The is spacious with plenty of seating inside and outside.
I first had churro station at pepper place farmers market. I immediately fell in love. When I found out they were going to have a storefront I was so excited! Their churros are delicious, fresh, and so funny. They also have gelato and coffee! read more
Great dessert spot! Honestly no complaints. They have a great amount of seating, good selection of desserts, and it's a unique offering. I love how they have so many sauces to put on or in the churros. It was $9 total for a churro with Dulce de leche and a single scoop of ice cream, which doesn't sound like a lot of dessert but it actually was. The service was great. Would come back read more

I love a good churro. Honestly any type of fried dough is up my alley. The space is cute, staff is warm and inviting. My gf and I order 2 churros. One with bavarian cream and oreo crumbles and the other with dulce de leche and bacon crumbles. Our churros were warm and delicious. She is actually asking me to return today for more. It's a convenient place to get a churro on 280. I'm unsure if there is anywhere else close by. read more
My daughters and I went here for the first time and loved it. The staff walked through our options. I got a churro filled with key lime pie and it was amazing. One of my daughters got Nutella filled and my other daughter tried their ice cream. So fun and delicious! read more

Churr-up! Everything is going to be okay! Especially if you treat yourself to Churro Station! If there is one thing to know about me it's I have to try multiple options so starting at the bottom we have: * The Classic with cinnamon sugar * Dulce de leche filled with chocolate chips * Cheddar cheese filled with bacon, diced jalapeños, and crushed hot Cheetos on top * Nutella filled with white chocolate curls The Churro Station is still pretty new and for a Saturday afternoon lines out the door were understandable. I promise yall, it was worth the wait and the staff was super friendly! They also had some different ice cream flavors that I'll have to go back and try, but a friend had blueberry cheesecake and she said it did not disappoint! So be sure to check them out and churr-up your day! read more

I debated on whether or not I was going to write this review but unfortunately it's a health hazard so I have to. If you go, be ready to wait because even with just a few people in front of us, we waited about 20 minutes. The layout is weird. Cashier and pick up signs should be switched especially since the churro station is right next to the register. The churros were okay. The cold cheddar cheese threw me off and it's canned/jarred jalapeños. Bacon bits were the kind you buy in a bag. Weird the coffee station employee asked if anyone wanted anything then just walked away without a moment to answer for anyone in line. I managed a dessert store that also sold gelato/coffee/fresh baked items so I'm very aware of health codes specific to the items sold at Churro Station and this is where my 1 star rating comes in. The male employee on ice cream station never once changed his gloves. He touched the gelato equipment, shook hands, touched his clothes including pants waistband, his hand, etc but never once changed gloves. The female employee running the coffee station was in and out if back area and touched everything in front but never changed gloves. The male employee running the register and churros never changed gloves either despite handling the churros and cash. The only reason I did't leave right away was because he used a tong to put a churro in a little box then filled it. Okay, at least he's not directly touching my food. The ice cream station was a mess and the scoops were not kept in health department approved container. No temperature gauge or clean water, just a crock pot. I should have listened to my gut because just hours later, I was on the bathroom floor, getting acquainted with the toilet. Cold porcelain makes a terrible cuddle buddy but what can you do when the dessert shop breaking all kinds of health codes made you sick? I hope they get it together as time goes on and actually care more about just getting people in the door. Maybe change gloves more often? read more

Everything looked really good! The dulce de leche filling on the churro was good. The whipped cream was out of a can, which was disappointing. The churros tasted like the oil they were cooked with may have needed to be changed. The bites, specifically, had that taste. Was really excited to try this place, but will probably go to other local restaurants for churros in the future. read more

The Churro Station is a great place to go for a sweet treat! You have many options ranging from just a plain churro to getting one with fillings and toppings of your choice from their given selection, therefore you can, in a way, choose your sweetness/calorie level as well. They also have ice cream and churro sandwiches! The workers were also nice at explaining sweetness levels and how to customize. I got a churro with the dulce de leche filling/drizzle and white chocolate chips on top. The churro itself had a mild amount of sweetness, but the dulce de leche and white chocolate chips added a great combination to making it sweeter but not overwhelmingly sweet. The churro was also served pretty warm. The churros are not that large but adding fillings and toppings will make you stuffed after eating the entire churro. I am not sure if this would be a go-to sweet treat spot for me, but it hits the spot when you are specifically craving a churro type of dessert. read more

I came to visit during the grand opening. The line was out of the door. Despite the chaos, the staff maintained an amazing attitude with phenomenal energy. As soon as we had gotten our order, we dove in. The texture of the churros is perfect. If you go, try the hot chocolate. You will be impressed. read more

Oh my goodness! Best churros I've had outside of Mexico! My friend and I ordered the Bavarian cream and Dulce de Leche churros. Churros were crispy yet soft and warm. The fillings were just right, not too sweet but tasty and very satisfying! The owner was very friendly and shared some history of her business. Churro Station is very classy, clean, and well organized. Definitely worth the trip from Trussville! We're coming back for more and will try the ice cream and coffee. Give them a try and you'll get hooked! read more

I heard that the churro station just opened. So my friend and I went. The store was very nice and new, with the feel of a coffee shop. They offer coffee and for the churros you can get regular, filled, or gourmet which is filled and topped. I chose a gourmand churro filled with Nutella and topped with Nutella and marshmallows. It was really good. The churro was crunchy and firm. I enjoyed mine and before we left a group of kids came in which this is perfect for them. The gourmand churros are the highest at $5 so this can be a really good award or treat for kids. read more
