Okay, I was debating on whether to give this 3 or 4 stars. If I could give 3.5 stars, I probably would. 3 stars seems like too low so I settled on 4 stars. Let's get into why I had this debate with myself. The service I experienced was great. I was quickly assisted and the gentleman was friendly. I could easily see what was being offered and the price. Speaking of price, I feel these pies are kind of high for the amount of pie you're getting. I got a 4-inch Sweet Potato Pie. It was $4.40. I don't think this pie would even equal one slice of a regular size pie. The price for a 9-inch pie is $35.20. It just seems high. I normally make my own pies and I don't buy them so maybe I'm not well-versed in pie prices. Now, the Sweet Potato Pie was good, but I don't know if I'd try another one of these mini pies.

Hot pies and ice cream...Name a better duo! Deciding which pie I to was hard! But then picking the ice cream to top the pie was harder. Luckily Edolyns let's you sample all the ice creams however many times you like. I chose the lemon blueberry chess pie with vanilla blue bell ice cream. It was perfection! You won't be able to put your spoon down after the first bite.

I guess you could call this hidden gem. Aden Cafe is nestled among the wildwood shopping center off…read moreof lakeshore parkway. Known for its middle eastern style offerings including Yemeni coffee and other kinds of coffee (hot or iced), pastries, crepes, and ice cream you will find it hard to find something you won't like. The place itself is a relaxed environment where you could study or catch up with friends. I tried the iced Aden latte (espresso, milk, pistachio and lavender) and it's the best coffee off of lakeshore. None of the flavors were overpowering the others. I also ordered a biscoff crepe and a sabaya. The sabaya was flaky and crispy, smothered in delicious honey. It wasn't the thickest sabaya but I enjoyed it! The biscoff crepe was so decadent. The crepe itself was soft and chewy, the perfect texture for such a delicious crepe. The fruit given with it also paired well with the drizzled sauce. I am looking forward to supporting this locally owned spot more often!

I was excited to try the baklava as they looked beautiful. However, while the flavor was very good, the texture was all wrong. An authentic baklava is supposed to be crispy, flaky, and crunchy, especially on the top layers. While it is heavily soaked in sweet syrup, it should never be soggy, mushy, or completely soft. Unfortunately, the ones we had tonight were indeed soggy and completely soft.
