I really wanted the good quality cake this place is known for but that wasn't the case. I looked at the slice case and there was so many well cut slices yet the one flavor I wanted they had 2 slices that looked like they cut it with a pair of thrift store dentures. Both slices were hacked up. I Asked if they had anymore because they looked really bad and they said no. I asked was there any pricing adjustment they said no. After debating against my better judgement purchased the better looking of the two because already made the trip. Sadly it was dry and not enjoyable. The employees excuse was "the new person cut it". But there should be a standard and slices that looked bad shouldn't be sold or shouldn't be sold at full price. But I guess the new person over baked the cake as well. The oatmeal cookie was half decent so I guess there's that. Was told to call them based off of my review on Google, so they could fix the issue. when I called he had me repeat literally what my review said then sent me on my way and told me have a nice day. Not sure how that fixed anything aside from solidifying the fact that they have poor service and poor products. That interaction did nothing but lower my opinion on their business. read more

First time at this location. Plenty of parking in the adjacent lot behind the hotel next door. Ordered quickly at the counter. I decided to try a new sandwich and picked the Pesto Chicken Sandwich - chicken, feta, peppers & pesto aioli on ciabatta bread with a side of Kettle Chips. After short wait my food arrived at the table. I really liked the sandwich and could definitely see myself ordering again, but have never had anything that I didn't care for at other locations. Because I am trying to do a little bit better, I managed to not get any desserts that were on display in the cases next to where I was sitting. Loved my experience here. The establishment was nice and clean. They also had an outside patio. I got a danish with chocolate drizzle and a milkyway latte. How does it taste so good?!) but I can literally sit there and eat the whole thing if I could! I discovered this location when I went next door to have lunch. What I found is that it may be a nice spot in the future for lunch. It was easy parking, as there is a lot with plenty of spaces. The customer service was great and the setup of the store was really nice. They have adequate spacing to eat inside and they serve both breakfast and lunch. Usually when I think of Edgar's, I think of desserts. But they have so much more to offer and even have some things available for pickup with no waiting. I will definitely consider this for the future. I picked up slices of strawberry cake and lemon cake. They were both great, moist, and the icing was not too overwhelming. I will be sure to visit this location again, as the staff was very friendly and they have a very nice selection of treats! read more

The lemon square was just a sticky blob that was just... sweet, not very lemony. Got home, opened the pound cake and... you guessed it. Awful as well. Very, very dry and tastes old. Little Debbie does it better. I'm so disappointed. Have memories from years ago and the best cake I ever had. Those days no more. Not worth going back. Ever. I'd give zero stars if I could. I ordered a custom cake for my company's Christmas party. When I went to pick it up the day before the party, the final design was very disappointing and had some errors, specifically the printed logo was cut off. The storefront employees were very polite and willing to figure out a solution. They took the cake back to re-do it and promised to have it ready the next day in time for the party. I am tremendously grateful to Mary, the representative from their corporate main office who contacted me to inquire about what was wrong on the cake, provide ways they can improve it, and made sure that the team members/bakers understood exactly what to do. She made a point to clarify everything we discussed multiple times to make sure her team would get it right, she followed up with me impeccably throughout the day, and called me to give her personal approval when the new cake was ready. I appreciated how much she took accountability for the mistake, how kind and apologetic she was towards me, and how determined she was to give us a fantastic cake for our event. Beautiful space inside and out and very pleasant service. It took a bit of wandering to figure out where to go to order food. The "order here" sign is blocked by a light fixture from the front door. The menu is on the wall behind the counter and was tough to read for one in our party with some vision problems. There may have been paper menus but we didn't see any and none were offered. I went with the crabapple jack sandwich. The house baked cranberry walnut bread was oddly gummy. Not dense and chewy, just gummy. Overall the sandwich fell flat for me. The Turkey was dry and flavorless and the slice of Swiss was so impossibly thin that it lacked flavor. The bacon was equally tasteless. For my side, I had chips and baked potato salad. The chips were nothing special and sort of tasted like pringles. The potato salad was heavy on the Mayo but was quite good. The other diner had the signature chicken salad sandwich on a house made croissant. The bread was absolutely gorgeous and had a very nice taste. I prefer a flakier croissant but it was good. The "signature" chicken salad was good but nothing special. I'd put my homemade against theirs any day. It desperately needed some seasoning. Overall, Edgars is a gorgeous place with very attractive food that fall short on taste. An abundance of mayo seems to be in everything. I understand it's a chain so I'm guessing the menu and recipes perform well, it's just not for me as I prefer bolder flavors and more aggressive seasoning. read more

Went here on a trip to homewood. The venue was really nice and modern. A cool bakery for sure to visit. went ahead and got the Reuben like I do at every restaurant that serves them. I would give it a 6.5 out of 10 on my Reuben scale. Good bread and accessory's but the meat was a little dry for a truly great Reuben. All in all pretty good experience. read more
