Grilled California Artichokes 10/10

How in the world am I just now trying Bricktop's?! I'm semi embarrassed! Me and two of my friends came here for dinner on a Sunday evening. We were quoted a 15 to 20 min wait. Literally, as soon as I sat down the hostess girl came and told us there was a cancellation. We were seated quickly! The dining room ambiance is so cozy and has the perfect atmosphere. I loved it actually. Our server, Jordon took care of our party of 3. She made great recommendations and provided excellent service throughout our visit. We had two rounds of drinks. Everyone enjoyed their drink selections. I absolutely looooooved my dirty martini ( extra dirty). Grown woman drink! Goodness!!! Those olives melted in my mouth! Now on to the food..... we shared three apps. Shrimp , deviled eggs and spinach & artichoke dip. All were equally 10/10! Highly recommend all three! For my entree, I had the grilled trout with spinach. This dish was tasty and made my tastebuds do a little dance. My two friends enjoyed their salmon dishes. I didn't get pictures of dessert... unfortunately. We shared the keylime pie and bread pudding. The overall consensus was that the bread pudding was way better than the keylime pie. The keylime pie was TOO tart but I loved the crust . The bread pudding was more balanced and enjoyable. Our evening at Bricktop's exceeded my expectations. I'm totally looking forward to returning again real soon!

BrickTop's is a mid tier chain for me. It's definitely a step up from places like Chili's or Outback, but it doesn't quite hit the level of J. Alexander's or Perry's. The service was solid. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and very helpful. The ambience was quite nice too. The food itself was just... fine. Not bad, not great. You won't leave hungry, but you also won't be thinking about the meal the next day. On the plus side, the location is super convenient (near The Summit) and there's plenty of parking. Overall, it's a decent option if you're in the area, but not a spot I'd go out of my way for.

Brunch at BrickTop's never misses!! The food, service, and drinks are consistently superb! The playlist for brunch today was the right mixture of tunes! We all had something different and we all enjoyed the other meals.

Visited BrickTops for NYE dinner and so happy that I did! We were lucky to get a reservation. Everything was really good! They had NYE cocktails to choose from and I selected French 75. It was really good! I ordered 2!! We shared the wedge BLT salad before having the meatloaf and pork chop and we both cleaned our plates. The atmosphere was the perfect setting for NYE!

My sis and I came here for lunch after the Christmas holiday. She hasn't been but I've been about 2 times. I told her the food is good and I normally get the same thing. I got the Steak Frites and she got a chicken dish. She really enjoyed it. I did get the lobster bisque but it was a little salty for me. We both had lemon drops and that was good. She ordered the cookie and ice cream, that was a nice treat. The place was wasn't crowded at the time we went and the set up was beautiful. So whether you are going out with friends, family, or a date. This place is for you.

We made reservations for my husbands dinner on a Thursday evening. When we arrived the restaurant was fairly busy but we had no problems getting to our table. The service was friendly and quick, with great attention to detail-included added touches for the birthday! My husband got a ribeye and I had the chicken Milanese. Both were delicious, and we were surprised by how much we loved the mashed potatoes! Something so simple, was absolutely perfect!! We finished our meal with a bread pudding, which was great The vibe was business casual but there were also a few kiddos floating about so not stuffy by any means. Definitely a great place to celebrate or have a nice date nite.

My friends and I was there Monday for birthday celebration and I ordered the grilled trout with sautéed spinach, and some of us ordered bistro chicken and ahi bowl, everything is good until towards the end of the meal. We are talking and all of a sudden 2 waitresses started to take our plates with still a few bites left and we're not done eating, she picked up my plate and I still can decide if I wanted to go box, so finally we told her we're still working on our food. No response, no sorry just silence, we didn't mind from the beginning when she asked what do we want to drink when, drinks arrived some of us got theirs and some other f us reminded her where is our drink, and we need to asked her again if she can bring us another glass of soda, now this is past 1pm. The rush hour is over. So the service is not really good for us, we didn't complain but we all wondering what goes on? Ambiance is good. I gave 4 stars simply because the foods are good. Server not so. Needs some more training, this is my honest opinion.

Always beautiful service! Elegant atmosphere with very large bar and jewelry box bathrooms. Helpful waitresses and host/hostesses, and even a personal touch and signatures for our early anniversary celebration. We loved everything we ordered, especially the Tavern Burger and sushi (with rare filet migon on top!).

Fantastic food and ambience. The grilled trout and sauce were excellent, the Brussels sprouts were top tier, and a great relaxing night at the bar after a long drive.

Great time tonight. We ordered the Caesar salad and lobster bisque then filets and Shanghai shrimp and fries! All excellent. Always super packed. Great service too. !

I love BrickTop's but not for the reasons people think. I did not include a picture but THE SUSHI HERE IS ONE OF THE BEST IN TOWN. Honestly such a pleasant surprise. Their brunch was good as well and I definitely have to go again. Each staff that I have encountered the 6 times I have been have always been down to earth and professional. A love!

Ok, so my wife decided to surprise me for Father's Day and take me somewhere we haven't been in a long time. When I saw that we were coming here, I was really excited to see what new offerings they had and I just like the look of the restaurant. We were seated promptly and our server came over and greeted us and took our drink order. We arrived in the middle of a shift change so our new server came over and introduced herself. She had to be new because she had no recommendations or suggestions on what we should have. We started off with the deviled eggs and candied bacon. This was a really great start. The sweetness of the bacon went very well with the deviled eggs. We asked for some bread and the bread came out cold and they were a little hard. The best thing about that was the butter. Then we received our entrees. I ordered the promotion and my wife ordered the Chilean sea bass. Mine entree was good and well seasoned but my wife's fish was another story. First the portion of the fish was really small. We have been a lot of places and never have received a piece of fish like this! It was undercooked and it was tough trying to cut it with a knife. Fish should never be so tough that a knife won't go through it. We politely told our server about this and all she said was ok. No one came by and apologized or offered anything else. Not satisfying my wife is worse than not satisfying me. The brussel sprouts were charred good but that's it. They had no flavor or seasoning.I waited to see if maybe they were busy but restaurant wasn't busy so I said forget it and let's try some dessert. We had key lime pie and the bread pudding. The pie was ok but the bread pudding could have used some warming up and I had a burnt piece! I wanted this to be good but IDK!

They have a food truck that I've heard wonderful things about and I ordered the chicken Caesar salad. It was almost like a chopped Caesar salad and it was just the right amount for a small girl dinner. If you like Parmesan cheese, this is a must order as they do not skimp on that! What was really nice however was that you couldn't tell the food was from a food truck. It was great quality and you are able to order from inside the bar and they deliver it to you. That was a great service. I can't quite remember which cocktail I got, but it was very delicious and at one point the server had even given me a new chilled glass so my drink would remain cold as I sipped on it. This is definitely a great date night spot or just a place to grab a drink with friends, definitely a little more upscale as we were there in the evening, so the lights were dim. I won't drop my rating as it's spring time in the South but I remember being cold immediately as I walked in- but that's typical for a lot of places.

One place came up, and at first, we weren't sure if it was open, but we walked in and immediately felt good vibes. No TVs, just hip R&B and Funk music, with a beautiful L-shaped bar and friendly bartenders Chloe and Ian. The menu is minimal, offering tapas and small plates, but that's because everything is made in-house and is especially good. We started with a House cocktail, the Pear & Proper, which is magnificent. Then we ordered the Wedge salad, and it was divine. After that, we shared the Red Wine Braised Short Rib, which melts in your mouth--their signature dish. We finished with an espresso Martini and some great Calamari. This has become our new FAVORITE. Must try!!!

My drink was tasty, it was their version of a lemon drop. My friend got the whiskey sour and she was upset at the size... it was pretty tiny. My entrees was very delicious but it came out lukewarm. Beef and potatoes should be served stemming hot. Also the portion of the mashed potatoes could have been a bit more generous. The burger girls were ok with their choice, no frill there. This spot has an extremely limited food menu, so it's not a place I'd frequent but it's definitely worth a future return!

Came Twice in One Week -- That Should Tell You Everything…read more Let me start by addressing something I've seen mentioned in other reviews: yes, the menu is minimal. But it's a gin bar that offers elevated bites, and I actually think that's what makes it so special. Most bars offer the same predictable trio of fried appetizers. This place is intentional. Focused. Creative. And it works. I first went to Juniper to celebrate a friend's birthday, and within one round of drinks I already knew I'd be back. The staff is phenomenal. Not just friendly -- knowledgeable and genuinely excited about what they're serving. I asked for a lemon drop martini, but gin-based, and they added elderflower liqueur to elevate it. It was hands down one of the best variations I've ever had. What I loved most? They didn't default to "sorry, we can't do that." They leaned in. They played with it. That creativity is what makes this gin-focused bar so fun, they know their juniper, and they know how to build around it. They also have fantastic mocktails. The first visit, I had them choose the gin they thought would pair best with a mocktail base (the blueberry mocktail I forgot the name but delicious) and they nailed it. When I returned four days later (yes, four, it was that good), they crafted more fun mocktail variations for me and even served my elderflower tonic in a beautiful chalice because mocktails can be fun too! The little details matter, and they absolutely deliver. Now let's talk food -- because this is not typical "bar food." We had: * The Burger - Delicious. Flavorful, well-balanced, and satisfying without being heavy. * Lasagna - I personally love a meat lasagna, but I genuinely appreciate that they offer a vegetarian version. It's thoughtful and inclusive. * Crab Cake - My favorite. So flavorful and perfectly done. It comes with a small salad that balances it beautifully. Highly recommend. And the toffee dessert? New obsession. It's the kind of dessert you think about days later On my second visit, we found out the bartender was actually the owner , which explains a lot about the care and pride behind the bar. Super cool, welcoming person. And shoutout to Dalton, the bar back, who was incredibly kind and hospitable. The entire team creates an environment that feels warm but elevated. The vibe deserves its own paragraph. Chic, trendy, slightly hipster (in the best way), and the back patio is stunning. It genuinely feels like they brought a fresh, new energy to the Birmingham scene. Juniper isn't trying to be everything to everyone. It's focused, creative, and intentional and that's exactly why it stands out. Amazing drinks, thoughtful bites, and staff that truly cares. Highly recommend. Already planning my third visit.
