This place is pretty in pink! Great drinks on the happy hour menu. I haven't had coffee here but it looks set up to create whatever you'd like. They have a stage and host shows (drag, comedy, etc). I really enjoyed my visit

My first visit and the staff was amazing. I love salted cold foam, brew that was made. I have to go back it's a very cute spot located right off 1st Ave north. The berry hibiscus tea was good.

Yes, coffee in the morning with a little pinkness to get you motivated for work, business or just a good vibe for the day. The coffee was great with a good robust flavor and a little hint of something. I'm not a coffee connoisseur, but I like that flavor. They have savory pastries as well as sweet treats. Ok now, Aaliah and Green listened to my wants for a coffee drink and ba-by, did they deliver? Yes, yes they did. Wait! There's more. This coffee shop has a surprise for you, at 4:00, the coffee shop turns into a lounge with a full bar, music and a stage! Where they do that at?! The Pink Lantern, of course. Get there for your morning work day vibe and hangout for your evening wind down chill mode. I will definitely be back with friends.

Cute spot! It looked like the have a full bard so assuming this is a place for night life as well. The baristas were very kind and made the drink and food relaly quick. I went really early in the morning and before they had a rush. All walks of life came and went, people having business meetings, hanging out and look like on a first date as well. So many different options for seating .

Well alright Birmingham, we finally have a legit Vietnamese coffee option downtown. Love that for us. This place is bright and vivid and has plenty of seating, a quick and friendly crew, and all the things you need to make your coffee dreams come true. Get down here. Get caffeinated. You owe it to yourself. I went a little nuts and tried more than one beverage. I can therefore vouch for the deliciousness of both the Vietnamese coffee and for the quality of the macchiato. Both were great! I get the sense that they're paying close attention to what they're doing and that you can expect your beverage to be solid no matter what you get. In addition to all this, it is my understanding that in the evenings the place converts to a bar. Very interesting stuff. I'll have to stop back in and see about that but for now the coffee alone is reason enough for a return visit. Overall a nice spot worth trying, so you should try it!

I walked in and immediately thought: "ohhhh this is the new IT coffee shop." I came on a Wednesday afternoon and the tables were nearly full with people working, on laptops, etc. You order right by the front door, which was a little crowded but not bad. The bar is gorgeous, with tons of seating for people working solo. I ordered the salted cold foam iced coffee... delicious. The perfect amount of salty, sweet, coffee bitter. Lots of people were ordering the matcha with ube cold foam, which I regret not getting just because that green and purple is stunning. I believe that the specialty here are Vietnamese coffees. There's some couch seating available, disco balls hanging from the ceiling, a record player that looks like it works. Everything, EVERYTHING is pink. But oh so tasteful. Pink straws, pink napkins. There's a stage in the back, too. Can't wait to see what goes on there. DECOR! Ugh, the limewash walls and terrazzo tables are everything. Somebody here has taste. This is the closest I've felt to being in California in a Bham business. I can't wait to come here for the evening scene and taste some cocktails. This is a great location for bar/restaurant hopping around 1st and 2nd Ave.

Drink first, thoughts after... This is such a cute coffee shop! The atmosphere was definitely the highlight -- super spacious, thoughtfully decorated, and totally my style. The interior design felt cozy but modern, and it made for a really enjoyable hangout vibe. The drinks were good, but light ice is the way to go. $5-6 per drink. The parking lot was full and honestly if you didn't get the easier spots, street parking is the way to go. Overall, I would definitely come back and I can't wait for the bar to open!

Happy Valentine's Day!! This was my 1st time at Pink Lantern- My book club had a social event here and this place is sooooooo cute! From the moment you walk in you're hit with the cute pink decor and fabulous bar and seating all around. I got the matcha with strawberry cold foam and it was absolutely delicious. It almost tasted like a milkshake . There were two people working and though there were several people in line they got the beverages out in good time. They had an area set up leading to the restroom that was great for picture taking. I love the retro pieces throughout the place like the old school telephone, tv and record player. I definitely want to come back and experience this place at night. Great way to start the day.

The cutest, girliest coffee spot! The Pink Lantern is even more adorable in person. I got their Vietnamese coffee with Ube cold foam and it was divine. Most all of the seats were filled with folks working or hanging out but it didn't feel too crowded because it's such a large space. PARKING IS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR compared to normal downtown parking!!! There's a lot behind the building. No street or parallel parking. I'll definitely be back to try the salted cold foam and Nutella pastry next time!

Pink Lantern is one of my favorite new cocktails bars in Birmingham! I had a mocktail and it was so tasty! My friend enjoyed her drink as well! The staff kind and attentive even as the space filled up. The decor is so amazing! I love the pink and disco theme! Friday nights they host a drag show and it was a 10/10 performance!! I learned that they have other events throughout the week like bingo, trivia, and comedy so I will absolutely be attending more in the future!

Pink Lantern is such a vibe! I tried the Ube Cold Foam Coffee and it was delicious perfectly balanced, smooth, and just different enough to make it memorable. The service was excellent too; everyone behind the counter was warm, welcoming, and quick. And the décor? Next level. The space is playful, modern, and so thoughtfully put together that it's impossible not to pull out your phone for a photo. This spot is definitely worth a visit if you want great coffee and an aesthetic moment all in one.

Had book club here with some girlfriends and we all loved the place as soon as we entered. It's beautifully decorated, spacious, and offers plenty of lighting. They don't really serve food, but have some snack options and have a good truck outside. The main attraction besides the decor are their amazing drinks. I tried the Dragon Garden and the Happy Ending which were both fabulous drinks, that even my friends ordered one. I also enjoyed their play on words for their drinks. Very creative and fun. We went after work on a Friday so the place wasn't too packed. Our server was absolutely one of the best. She was very attentive and interactive. We found out Friday and Saturday they have Drag Shows starting at 9pm. We weren't able to stay but will definitely be dropping by again to catch it! The only concern was when we received our tickets. They offer an happy hour and we were there for the happy hour but our drinks didn't seem to match the happy hour price and we did notice that it was extra fees on there, but did not see where it was advertised that they charged gratitude so that was kind of a red flag. Other than that though we definitely enjoyed ourselves and will be returning.

They have a food truck that I've heard wonderful things about and I ordered the chicken Caesar salad. It was almost like a chopped Caesar salad and it was just the right amount for a small girl dinner. If you like Parmesan cheese, this is a must order as they do not skimp on that! What was really nice however was that you couldn't tell the food was from a food truck. It was great quality and you are able to order from inside the bar and they deliver it to you. That was a great service. I can't quite remember which cocktail I got, but it was very delicious and at one point the server had even given me a new chilled glass so my drink would remain cold as I sipped on it. This is definitely a great date night spot or just a place to grab a drink with friends, definitely a little more upscale as we were there in the evening, so the lights were dim. I won't drop my rating as it's spring time in the South but I remember being cold immediately as I walked in- but that's typical for a lot of places.

They have multiple seating options; the first floor has booths that can accommodate smaller and large groups. The bar area is very inviting and fun to be able to watch your drinks being made and upstairs offers a more private area. When not seated at the bar they do have someone to come around to make sure you have what you need. The servers are very nice and tend to remember you, which is a great feeling. The menu rotates seasonally, which makes it easier to try new things. My favorite menu item so far has been the cheeseball that was on the menu around Christmas time. It had a great flavor served with crackers the only thing is when we came back after the first of the year it wasn't on the menu anymore. On my most recent visit I had the queso which also had great flavor, served with blue corn tortilla chips. When it comes to the drinks I like how on the menu they let you know how strong it is using toucans. Many of the drinks feature rum, but they do still offer some gin and tequila options. Everything I've had has been good and something I would try again. I would like to note that many of the drinks are fruity and can be somewhat sweet. At Christmas time they even had holiday themed drinkware which I felt was a nice touch. If you are not a drinker, they also have options for mocktails. Which has been great for me the last couple of months. I didn't care for the Phony Negroni, but I think Negroni itself might be an acquired taste

The menu varies so don't expect this menu when you go. The smash burger is dependable and good. The duck fries are pretty awesome, but they seem to be super enthused about their house seasoning, almost to the point of obliteration! It's good; They just need to be a little more judicious with it. Pictured are the noteworthy Brussel sprouts: "$10 BRUSSELS' SPROUTS Red wine balsamic glaze, Agrodolce pearl onions, scallions, fried garlic " You can also have them topped with grilled chicken for a few bucks more. Can Brussels be overcooked? Apparently not. These aren't as charred as the photo suggests. The red wine / balsamic reduction adds a lot of color to them. They may look charred but there's no burned taste in the flavor. I know, those poor little Brussels look overwhelmed, but they're not. They were good in my mouth and belly. Be careful not to spill any in the car on the way home, or the next day your car will not be very welcoming to guests.

We went very early one Saturday and were the only people in there -- but I won't hold this against them at all, as we are always early birds. The staff were all hanging out in a booth near the door. One bartender eagerly jumped up to help us, but the rest seemed pretty inconvenienced by our presence. Our bartender was great -- very personable and knowledgeable. That's about the only redeeming factor. The menus were tattered and sticky, bar itself was kinda gross, lipstick marks on our glasses, and our drinks were subpar at best. I believe the theme when we went was something about Italy, so there was a lot of potential for creative drinks, but they all seemed pretty uninspired -- think limoncello, Negronis, etc.. Also, some weird blue frozen one, but I can appreciate catering to every crowd! We probably won't be back.
