Garden Fresh Veggie Scramble, added a side of "Moon Dusted" Potatoes and Beyond Vegan Sausage
    Rikesha F.

We had first eaten from a location in Atlanta via DoorDash but had yet to try this location out in person. We ate here one fine Sunday morning. It was packed and there was a wait. After being seated, I noticed how colorful and whimsical the decor was. But because it was so crowded, I didn't get a lot of pictures. I ordered the garden veggie scramble with the moon dusted potatoes and a side of beyond sausage. My guy ordered the waffle breakfast. The food was just as delicious as we remembered it to be. The star is always those creamy grits. I'm not sure how they make them, but I wish they would tell me their secret. The biscuits are always light and fluffy, and with the apple butter that comes with it, it's a match made in heaven. Pro Tip: I've ordered food from here courtesy of DoorDash but it's always been a disaster. The order was always missing random items or I received the wrong order. I do not recommend ordering through a 3rd party; go in person if at all possible.

The flying biscuit Café is never a letdown no matter what part of the country you go to. This experience at this location has always been great and immaculate. The service is always on point and it's a great brunch spot for the family and friends and coworkers. The waitress is always fast and sometimes this gym is not so hidden and everybody knows about it so try to get there early and or wait for a table more so in the morning. This location is a 10 out of 10.

Shae was our waitress and she was outstanding! She made us feel welcomed, and she was attentive. Shae is a huge asset to this location. Our food came in a timely manner, was as ordered, and was great! The chicken sausage gravy and biscuit were perfect. Bacon was fried crispy, just the way we like it. Their creamy dreamy grits were on point.

Outdoor seating, service is fast and the food is delicious! Everything is flying with the restaurant decor and makes it so fun. We had the make your own grits bowl and it was fantastic!! I had shrimp, white cheddar, spinach, tomatoes, and mushrooms. It was delicious and full of flavor, very pleasing to the palate. The chicken chorizo tacos were the perfect size and hearty. They too had great flavor and you top it off with some of the yummy potatoes. We will be back to this great spit!

The Flying Biscuit is always a hit! Visited on a Saturday so I knew they would be busy, but lucked up since there were available seats at the bar. I was immediately greeted by the nice bartenders and decided to order the mini shrimp and grits, which came with a biscuit and I added a side of scrambled eggs. The dish was very delicious! The grits were super creamy and tasty. The spicy sauce with diced tomatoes really 'made' this dish and added an extra layer of flavor. The blackened shrimp was like a 'cherry on top.' The scrambled eggs were delicious as well. All in all, another great visit to the Flying Biscuit Cafe!!

Never knew this place existed until a friend invited me for lunch. I have been to the Shops in the Colonnade a few times, but if you're not in the same "section", you would miss them and that's exactly what happened to me. I've always been on the "Edgars" side and I never "saw" them. Started in 1993 in Georgia, now they have 34 franchised locations throughout Georgia, North Carolina, Florida and Texas. I love the look of the FBC. The painted murals on their wall (featuring Birmingham) is stunning and eye-catching! Applause for the creator! I'm not sure if they have seating outside, but inside there's roomy seating with high ceilings and ceiling fans. Open for breakfast and late lunch, we were seated quickly and drink orders taken. With their extensive menu selection, they could easily open for dinner in my opinion. Don't let them fool you into thinking they're just a breakfast place. In addition to their awesome "breakfast" items, they also have plenty of lunch items like chicken tender concoctions and burger specials. You gotta go online or look at my pics of their menu to see just how many different delicious options to choose from. I finally decided on the Dirty Bird. The large home made waffle was cooked perfectly. On top of it were crispy buttermilk fried chicken tenders. On top of those were two over medium eggs and on top of them was a slather of their famous chicken sausage gravy. Yom Yom Yom Yom! I couldn't finish it and gladly took the rest home. The tenders were juicy. The little bit of yolk was just enough to compliment that delicious chicken sausage gravy! Outstanding! Service was also great with my water glass never being empty. I will be returning to try one of their other 30 plus items on their menu!

Swung by for a quick breakfast. Shelby had very good customer service. Plenty of seating and food was pretty good. I ordered the dirty bird. The gravy was very good and I couldn't tell if the tenders were freshly made or frozen. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Everything came together.

What a good brunch! We tried this place, as we are passing through and knew we are getting one. Hubs had a smoked salmon scrambler with a dill cream cheese, and a side of potatoes. He added a biscuit with cranberry apple butter and hollandaise on the side. One negative the hollandaise was not good. Had he ordered the Benedict I would have had a different rating. As it is an add on, we are writing it off. The hot dirty bird chicken and waffles hit. I did ask for the hot sauce to be ok the side so I could control how hot, and the egg, I was skeptical about chicken sausage gravy, so I sampled it before. Wow. It is the best chicken sausage gravy I have ever had. I almost ordered differently because of the past ones I have had before. The building decor is great. Our server, Jacquie was phenomenal. If we had a restraint nearby we would offer her more money to leave and join our establishment. Good meal.

I haven't had their chicken tenders before, but now realize I prefer it over the standard fried chicken solely because the flavor profile is better (more seasoned). I would order this again. Salad for my steak tips was as expected. I also redeemed a birthday reward for the chocolate cake. The bite I took was pretty good and it is easily a sharable portion size. Now for the not so good... My order through metro diners website consisted of steak tips, mash&gravy, garden salad with ranch. I personally would not order this again. Issue: The steak was chewy, flavor was bland and portion size seemed small for the value. My DoorDash order consisted of 1. Bissell breakfast with pancakes, scrambled eggs, cheese grits, bacon and a biscuit. 2. Small sausage gravy side 3. Chicken tenders plate with creole mustard, green beans and French fries. Issue: I quickly glanced through the see through lid of the boxes and noticed toast instead of a biscuit and no container that would have had the cheese grits. Went inside to notify the team and expo of missing items (also brought the bag back in). The expo called for these missing items from the kitchen. The cook glanced and then asked if he had a ticket for that? I managed restaurants for years so I get it when the kitchen asks this, however, the ticket was the one you made incorrectly and the expo did not check for correctness. The expo also stated "it is for a DoorDash order that she said is wrong". I'm happy this was a personal order because I got to see firsthand how it appears DD order issues are dismissed since they seemed to assume I was a driver. At least that is how the short exchange presented. They weren't rude it was the tone and lack of apology for my missing items. Mistakes happen. How you respond to and handle them matters. Fast forward - I get home and realize they must have simply switched my order with someone else's. There were hash browns with cheese and diced tomatoes and scrambled eggs with cheese. Was not my order and could not eat this order. The pancakes were just okay. Tried the sausage gravy with the biscuit. Not something I would get again but this part isn't a reflection of Metro Diner. Ordered this just to try it since many rave about this southern combo. Let's just say there will be more for everyone else to enjoy.

It's kind of hard to tell what all the food options are, so I had to ask what some stuff was. I managed to get a meat and 2 instead of a meat and 5! There were quite a few veggie options that looked amazingly delicious! I do not recommend coming here hungry or hangry. Ok, sooo I love meat loaf so naturally that's what I got. I also got collards and cornbread dressing & yes they had cranberry sauce. Everything was good tasting. The meatloaf was a little sweet to my taste so I probably wouldn't order it again. The veggies were not over seasoned or overcooked. I will definitely comeback here bc there is still just so much I wanna try. The staff is nice and took care of the crowd. I even witnessed them give a person in need food, as they were about to dig in the restaurant's garbage can outside for scraps. Made me count my blessings.. all of them! There is street parking only. A la cart is available as well. They have ice tea or lemonade drinks in a cup that they also serve you. Lemonade was good. There's a very small counter to pay after you order. Fry chicken is tasty with perfect crisp. Collard greens were seasoned well and perfect texture. Yams (my favorite) was perfect - flavorful, not too sweet and firm but not hard. Both of us thought the Black eyed peas looked really good but taste bland. I would have preferred it without the Okra. I didn't see that when I ordered. One in our group commented the meat loaf was good. The dressing was really good too - well seasoned and tasty. After paying there's a dining area for self seating. It serves the purpose to sit and eat but definitely could use sprucing up along with the restrooms. Please seriously consider! It would make the experience much more pleasant to enjoy their delicious food. I took off two stars for that reason and yes it's that unpleasant as the tables/chairs are also too clustered together. The chairs don't fit around the table properly. Overall good southern food at a reasonable price and recommended. Skip dining in if you don't have too. Just my two cents.

There was staff at the register, employees in the store area, and several servers visible, but customer service seemed to be the last priority. Eventually, after sitting there long enough without any service at all, we got up and left. It's disappointing because there was a time when we ate at Cracker Barrel at least once a week and genuinely enjoyed it. Sadly, poor service continues to drive customers away. This location needs management to focus on the customer experience before more longtime customers decide not to come back.

The service is *excellent* with a capital "E." We ate at the bar, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about every single aspect of the restaurant. They have tried everything on the menu themselves. They can describe any one of the imported liquors up on the wall. These are real deal professionals who illustrate just how important the people in a restaurant's front truly are. The food? Delicious. It's a wild grab bag of East Asian fare - Chinese, Japanese, Thai - and it's all done extremely well. The portions are small, which is good, since you'll want to try half a dozen things on Current's very deliberately thought-out menu. The Peking Duck is some of the best I've had. The cocktails are also excellent, with my favorite being a delicious, earthy combination of coconut, lime, and pandan. It's like an extremely upscale tiki drink. I cannot recommend this place enough. High ceilings and exposed brick are a few of the ways to my heart. If you've seen a post about this place, you've probably seen a picture of the crackly round, artistic dish and wondered what it was. There are dumplings on the underside of it and you break each one off of the crackly part to enjoy. We did enjoy these but I would've loved a soy sauce to dip them in. They came with chili crunch, peanuts, and green onions but I wanted an actual sauce. They were very standard tasting dumplings and there was nothing extraordinary about them unfortunately. As always, we'd looked at the menu beforehand and decided what we wanted. It does state on their website that their menus can change due to freshness and availability. But we'd both decided on an app and entree we wanted only to get there and have none of them on the menu. I do appreciate a rotating menu to accommodate local items, but I would also love for those to be updated on a regular basis. So after rerouting, we decided on the chicken skewers as another app with the dumplings. These were chargrilled, flavorful, and had a nice crust on them. I got shrimp fried rice and Julia got spicy beef noodles. It was fine but I wish the shrimp wouldn't have been cut up. It felt like they chopped them up in order to not put as many in the dish. At $25 for this, I'd like whole shrimp please. There were a few pieces of raw spinach with pepper on the top. I would've loved a sauce of some kind. I would've preferred shrimp hibachi with fried rice from a Japanese place that included vegetables and sauces. This was not *bad* there was just SO much room for improvement. We both agreed that nothing was awful, but for these prices and the hype, we expected more. Our waitress was super friendly. Bonus points because they had match boxes at the host stand! There was a paid parking lot diagonal from the restaurant, so we had to walk through an intersection to get there. There are some spots up front if you can snag one. Overall, we enjoyed our time here but won't be sprinting back.
