I have visited this location several times and have always had a good experience. They have lots of stuff you can just buy and don't have to order ahead. You can even get lunch here. Recently, I got a cake for my daughter's birthday. I got a small red velvet cake with is actually quite big. It is a high round cake so you don't need huge slices. There was lots extra after 4 of us ate it. The cake itself was beautiful. I was very pleased. While I was in there I also bought a beautiful loaf of challah bread. I didn't even need it but it was too pretty to resist. I have a French toast recipe that I love to make with challah bread so I'm happy to know where to go and get one in the future. Staff are very nice. The interior is nice with tables where you can sit and they even sell some cute things like mugs, etc.

Beautiful store... spacious and clean... a wide variety of items available... line... one clerk working at time i went and she seemed a bit overwhelmed. Not sure if she was being short with me or just that. Will give them another chance because the baked goods are usually top notch plus the location is sparkling clean

The cake with his name on it! Thanks!

I ordered a birthday cake and birthday cookie online The online process was easy! Came to the store to,pick up bitch items and had the best service! The clerk boxed the both up, taped th boxes and gave me a bag to carry them in Perfect experience! Today was both birthday parties and everyone loved the cake and cookie! They both were great. Very tasty! Highly recommend!

For my mom's 60th birthday, we gifted her the most perfect cake from Edgar's! In addition to the beautiful, heart-shaped, intricate design, it was made with red velvet cake -- her favorite! It was absolutely delicious and exceeded our expectations. Customer service was also 5 stars!! Always love Edgar's cakes :)

My husband and I decided to pick up some breakfast here on yesterday. It was our 12 year anniversary and neither of us was interested in cooking. We got there early so there weren't many people there. The employees were nice and ordering was fast and easy. Our food was ready relatively quickly. My husband had a mishap with his food, but it was rectified right away. My food could have used more seasoning, but overall, it was a nice meal.

When we moved to Hoover, I began looking online to see if I could find a gourmet bakery. There simply isn't one in the area and may not be one in Birmingham either. Edgars was the closest thing that I sought to gourmet pastries. We went and did not enjoy the visit. The store was clean, and all of the baked goods looked beautiful. But the service was lackluster and the, flavors were very disappointing. We gave them another shot two months later. And are even more disappointed the second time. One of the Pacers was delicious and excellent. It was the cinnamon roll with nuts. The other pastry was beautiful, but completely devoid of flavor. we also bought a coffee which is actually serve yourself they give you a cup, and do you go to the coffee station and press the canister. There were three choices, and all were almost empty and you managed to get a half cup from one of them, but it was cold And obviously left over from the day before. Now it was about 9 o'clock in the morning so all of today's breakfast Rush had to do without coffee. Also, the tables had condiments provided but the salt, peppers, and Tabasco sauces were either completely empty, or almost empty, and looking around the dining and serving areas. There were a number of other deficiencies that I noticed, when I gave a closer inspection. I'm giving two stars, so you will know that I am not a reviewer that nails people with one star because of a slight hiccup. The place deserves about one star so I'm being generous.

They have monthly and daily specials as well as fun seasonal flavors! They always offer their classics but I definitely appreciate a rotating, diverse variety of flavors. The cookies themselves are dense, thick, and gooey on the inside- always baked to perfection! Cookies are handmade and always fresh. I think the prices are very reasonable, as the cookies are high-quality. I've tried so many different cookies but today I had the pleasure of trying the "Peanut Butter Bb Over the Top", which is easily one of the best cookies I've ever had. Also, they often have boxes of day-old dozens (no telling what's inside until you take it home though) but in no way can you tell they're a day old.

That list mentioned their location in Homewood, but I was able to swing by the Brock's Gap Hoover outpost. Unfortunately the selections were on the scant side; they had run out of some options. I wanted a cookie with dark chocolate but ended up purchasing the semi-sweet chocolate chip ($3.02 with tax). To be fair, it was about an hour to closing time. But later I went on Cookie Fix's website and reviewed the calendar, and Sundays have the fewest number of cookie options (9 versus 13 on Wednesday for example. At any rate, the cookie was very pleasing, with a unique ice cream scoop shape, a reasonable amount of chocolate, a soft middle, and noticeable sea salt. I approve! The young woman helping me was very polite and helpful; she might've been a high school student. I spotted a fridge stocked with cookie dough if you want to bake at home. And there's no seating inside but a couple of benches and tables with chairs right outside. Since this Cookie Fix is located in a shopping center, parking was unproblematic. There are also numerous restaurants and shops around for before or after getting your Cookie Fix!

If I hadn't read about it on Yelp, I'm not sure when I would have noticed it. Went in today. The store is cute! They change their menu daily and have a really good variety of flavors. I purchased 3 cookies (just wanted to taste): 2 chocolate chip and one half brownie half chocolate chip. Cost: $5.72. (Some say) A little pricey for 3 cookies, but this company refers to themselves as "Gourmet", so to be expected. $5/$6 bucks isn't 'gawk worthy' but if you need a dozen or 2... Oh! the Gent that helped me said they make cookies every few hours! Talk about fresh!! The chocolate chip was Phenomenal! No doubt, I'd definitely go back for that. My son equally enjoyed the 1/2 & 1/2. The cookies are super moist and a good size. They do offer edible cookie dough and there is a small seating area in the shop. Good stuff!

They have a great opportunity nestled next to a couple restaurants in the same complex. First comment, this was my third trip by here and was finally able to catch them open. Second, as can be seen my the picture, they had about 6 or 7 different cookies to choose from and they say that the change the cookie menu up on a regular basis. But cookies that are displayed on the menu on the wall are not currently in the display case for sale because that isn't the day they make them. That isn't the best business model when you see something you want and then have to settle for something else because they didn't make it that day. Prices for a single cookie, especially considering the size of the cookie, are on the high side. $1.75 for a slightly bigger than home made cookie seems too much to me. Really good idea, really good location, but very poor execution. Hopefully they will make some improvements because they could have something really good here.

One thing worth mentioning was the customer service. We both had a welcome reward for signing up for the club that included a free cookie. I had trouble locating my reward in the app, but the employee went ahead and issued a credit before I was able to find it. I eventually located it afterward. Warm, friendly service and everything was explained well without feeling rushed. Now for the cookies. The biggest disappointment for me was the Crunch Nugget. A chocolate chip and peanut butter cookie sounds almost impossible to mess up, but this one somehow fell flat. The flavor just felt below average overall and didn't really deliver on either the chocolate chip or peanut butter side the way I expected. My wife preferred the Purple Haze over the Good Luv red velvet cookie. She said the Purple Haze was sweeter and more moist, while the red velvet cookie was a little drier by comparison. Overall, she still prefers Cookie Fix and Crumbl over Cookie Plug. The cookies definitely fit the oversized premium cookie trend. Thick cookies that are somewhere between a brownie, cake, and traditional cookie. Service was strong. Cookies were decent. But as of now, this probably would not become our go-to spot in this category.
