We love this place. If we are ever in this area, we always drop in. Everything that we have tried is absolutely amazing. The cakes and pastries are wonderful, you can tell everything is made from fresh ingredients. If you get there early they have great breakfast items too. The carrot cake and strawberry cake are my favs. Yesterday we tried their banana pudding for the first time. It was SO Good. And the folks that run the bakery are always so friendly and helpful. Fantastic cakes and baked goods! Every year, my daughter's church youth group would do a Cinco de Mayo meal and dessert auction. Because we go to a church not in my area, I wanted to showcase this bakery, because it's worth the drive if you don't live nearby. I always brought the piña colada cake from Delicious since it seemed to go with the theme. Round cakes are usually 6 layers, and I am a buttercream fanatic, so theirs fits the bill superbly. They usually have a couple pre-made round cakes available in the case, or you can pre-order a more customized flavor. They also make themed and decorated cakes for any occasion; just tell the what you want, and they can likely do it. The also have a wide selection of baked goods including pies, cheesecakes, petit fours, breads, etc. One thing I have yet to try, and keep meaning to do is try the deli. I took one star away because I was asked to pick-up a little later from the original time. I am a stickler for time especially having to travel two hours. Now on to the 4 stars, the cake was, in my opinion absolutely beautiful and DELICIOUS!!! The moistness of the cake and attention to detail on the decorations won us over (sorry but a pretty yet dry cake it not the deal for me). I took price quotes from two others before going with Delicious Bakery. They assured me of my vision and I really loved the price. I went in to confirm that I could pick this cake up on the set date considering the holiday and was told exactly when to place the order. I was a little on edge because this cake was for a milestone birthday for my mom and I didn't want any hiccups. Besides the time glitch all was well with me. The cake arrived to its destination still intact (my brother had it with him) and I was able to add a cake topper from Amazon. Mom and her guest loved it! This bakery is AMAZING! They pulled off not 1 but 2 cakes for my sons 5th birthday! My family and sons school was blown away by the artistry and flavor! I bought a strawberry cake for my son's 17th birthday. It was great!!! It is made with real strawberrys and the icing has real strawberrys also. I would recommend this bakery to anyone. I am always on the look out for a good strawberry cake. I have tried to make myself, but I could never get the icing right. Other bakeries the icing is good but the cake is usually on the dry side. When someone told me about this place I was excited to order a cake for a co-worker's birthday. The cake was beautifully decorated. This small bakery is well worth the visit. I have never in my life, tasted pastries and cakes as good as these. Not only are they very tasty, almost addictive, the price is very fair. I stop by as often as I can. The caramel bundt cake is to die for, the peanut butter balls are awesome, the different pastries are incredible.
