Lickin' Good Donuts is my family favorite to start our Saturday mornings. I love the smiling faces on the staff serving up the delicious kolaches and our favorite maple and bacon donuts. The atmosphere is very casual, welcoming and relaxing. Love that they are open so early and everything is freshly made. The challenge is that it's too close to resist at less than a mile and a half from home! read more

I love donuts! I am also pretty snobby about my donuts. Most places just don't cut it. This place on the other hand hits all the right notes! The owner was very friendly and helped me pick out a good variety of donuts along with a jalapeño sausage kolache! No, I have been a fan of Shipley's kolache, my whole life and have not really found any other kolache makers that were as good. This kolache was right up there! The donuts were all very good a great yeasty dough with very creative and tasty toppings. The peanut butter cream filled was amazing the maple bacon was one of the best I've had! I cannot wait to go back and try more of the selection. I'm so glad Pelham has another great donut choice. read more

Glad to see this donut shop in the area, a welcomed establishment. This is a clean spacious place with plenty of parking space. There is a nice variety of treats. My nephew I went with the 1/2 dozen glazed. The donuts were still warm when we arrived home and definitely lickin' good!!! It appeared that they were out at one point but plenty were on a tray to the side. I forgot breakfast items are on the menu. I will try the conecuh sausage next time. read more

I discovered this donut shop( can't remember on which social media outlet) but I immediately knew that I wanted give them a try one day........ For whatever reason , I thought this place closed at 1 but to my surprise, they are actually opened til 5 on Saturdays! Win for me!!! There is a lot of parking available in front and around the storefront complex where the donut shop is located- upon entering , I noticed how clean and well kept everything inside was . The donut display area was well lit and FULL of variety! I ordered a dozen donut holes , and a mixed dozen- that dozen included my fav LEMON filled!!! They didn't have any already prepared due to selling out but when I asked if they had anymore lemon donuts, they brought more out . Kuddos! I especially enjoyed the freshness and quality of the donuts - it was like biting into a cloud! My family and I really enjoyed our experience and look forward to maybe trying their breakfast and other offerings in the future! The staff was very helpful as well! read more

I'm so glad alabaster has a new donut place! Located on 119 close to Publix, this new shop covers donuts, kolaches, and more! Today I tried a conecuh sausage kolache, a cruller, and a blueberry cake donut. If you live in Alabama, you're sure to have tried (and love) conecuh sausage. If you're from out of town, try it...it's life changing! The sausage was wrapped in a fluffy, tasty dough and you could choose to have it heated or at room temp. The cruller was perfect, as was the cake donut. For drink options, Lickin Good offers coffee and a wide selection of bottled beverages. The space itself has been remodeled and looks great! There's plenty of room to sit and enjoy your donuts. I can't wait to go back! read more

Doughnuts were good and fresh. Competitive/comparable pricing to other doughnut shops. The blueberry doughnut was very blueberry, in a good way. Only thing keeping this from 5 Star is personal preference. My favorite doughnuts are filled ones. And while the filling (icing/cream) was very good, I prefer that filled doughnuts not be glazed, too. Otherwise they tend to be overly sweet. However, the plain flavor doughnuts that are just glazed and not filled are very tasty. read more

This place is alright. It's a bit over priced, but that's to be expected for a local business. My main "complaint" is with the taste of the donuts themselves. While they aren't bad, there is a bit of an unpleasant aftertaste. It reminded me of the taste you get when eating food fried in old cooking oil. It's not terribly noticeable, but it certainly sets them far below what a Southerner expects from a donut when Krispy Kreme reigns supreme. read more
