Walking into the reception was the first time we had seen our cakes, and they were breathtaking. Not only did they look amazing but they tasted amazing as well. Let's talk about the cakes.... The wedding cake was a 5 tier multi flavor cake. We had Italian cream, lemon and vanilla layers. This was a true 5-tier work of art! The cake was delicious and the Italian cream layer was our top tier and the one we shared our first taste with. It was soooo moist. I just can't say enough about the wedding cake!!! I know some people elect to get a smaller cake, but everything about this cake was exactly what we envisioned. The groom's cake was a 3 tier cheesecake, and can we just say....oh my goodness. This was hands down the best cheesecake we have ever eaten, and believe me when I tell you, we have eaten some cheesecakes. An authentic baklava is supposed to be crispy, flaky, and crunchy, especially on the top layers. While it is heavily soaked in sweet syrup, it should never be soggy, mushy, or completely soft. The crepe itself was soft and chewy, the perfect texture for such a delicious crepe. The fruit given with it also paired well with the drizzled sauce.
