This is the perfect place to have lunch, coffee, dessert, or even just sit and study! we've been wanting to try this place since it opened and it did not disappoint. There were so many pastry options but we decided on the cinnamon roll and it was so good warmed up! The vanilla latte tasted like good quality coffee. We got the roman roast sandwhich, which is apparently the most popular food item on the menu. The beef was tender and juicy and the fries were perfectly crispy. You could definitely split this with someone, it's a huge sandwich. We also got the campo italiano focaccia flatbread. The focaccia part was really good, it was fluffy and also crispy. The chicken on top was kind of dry though. I loved the vibes of the inside, they have free wifi so it's a perfect place to do some work or study! There's a good bit of parking, too. The guy working there was really nice. Overall I definitely want to come back to try more of their menu and pastries! I was too full for gelato but I got a sample of their dubai chocolate flavor and it was so good.

I got the Tuscan stack sandwich and the focaccia was perfectly fluffy and salty. This was everything you'd want from an Italian sandwich with arugula, prosciutto, and aged cheese. Their fries were good and crispy. David got the Roman roast sandwich and enjoyed. He agreed that we could've split a sandwich - and we never ever share because we like our own portion. I, of course, had to finish with an affogato - I'm pretty sure this is my favorite dessert ever. This was everything I dreamed of. There is so much offered here - from lunch, dinner, pastries, coffee. Service was friendly and helpful. You place your order at the counter and then grab a table and wait for them to bring it to you. Parking was no issue - large lot across the street. I saw several people walking dogs so I can see us being frequent flyers when it warms up and can sit outside. We will be back!!
I found this place on tik tok & took myself for a coffee & treat. I ended buying a box full of yummy things to take home. The service was very engaging & friendly. I did say my latte was for here & sat at the bar to wait. However, my latte was put in a to-go cup - ugh i really like to sit and enjoy my latte & i took out a cronut & ate it cold. was later told oh- we serve those warm. Im thinking- well its my first time here.... so? overall, lovely place & i will be back. I do want to try the pizza next door same owners. great little find. i also appreciated the up to date music choice.
Had the "white chocolate with raspberry" gelato, which was really good, had a sweet taste to it. Also tasted the regular chocolate flavor, which good as well. Service was great, staff greeted us with a "hello" and a smile. Vibes were good, had music playing, looks like a great spot for dessert.
ive been going to vecchia pizzeria for YEARS now (which is just as good as this place). so when i heard they opened a cafe and gelato place i knew i had to go! absolutely incredible all around! we decided to stop by for lunch, coffee, and to get a bit of work done. we went midday during the middle of the week, and there were plenty of cozy spots open and free wifi. definitely a place i would go to if i need to study! the decor is super cute and staff was super friendly! starting off w/the latte: i got the iced vanilla latte and the color was perfect! the latte was superb the roman roast sandwich is one of the most popular options and it was delicious, came with perfectly crisp fries. the flatbread was 'campo italiano' and had some chicken on it. the bread was amazing! i only had a small spoon of gelato to try out the flavors, but will definitely be coming back for gelato or maybe an affogato. overall, no notes! perfect for a date night or to come midday for a quick lunch!
I came here on a Wednesday night after going to a wine tasting next-door at vecchia. Both restaurants are owned by the same people. It is probably been open for maybe eight months or so but I just haven't gotten around to coming so since I was next-door, I decided to come on over and have some gelato. There was three of us that went and I got the Cookie Monster gelato. I also brought some treats home a Biscoff and an Oreo cheesecake. I also got two M&M cookies with Nutella inside. Since they had Mexican cokes, I got one of those as well. And one scoop was enough for me. There weren't many people there it might've been because it was a Wednesday night, but the two young men behind the counter was very nice. The restaurant was very clean as well. I will definitely be back here to try. Maybe one of the sandwiches sometime soon. Also, if you get the Cookie Monster gelato prepared to have a blue tongue for several hours.
Our family recently tried Vecchia after dinner. We got a box of treats to take home & gelato for there. My son got a cookie that he loved. My husband got something that had no label in front of it saying what it was, but he asked the person behind the counter about it and she said it was delicious. She was correct. I got the honey cake, which I had tried at Pepper Place market, so I knew it was good. Here's my complaint. For our gelato, I wanted an affogato. I chose the pistachio and the server said they only allow vanilla with the affogato. Seriously?! We have been to Italy and also had affogato multiple places around the country. I've never had them say I couldn't choose the flavor. Would have given 3 stars because this is so odd, but the pastries were so good, I gave a 4.
Absolutely amazing! I've been on the hunt for amazing gelato and Vecchia has it! Very creamy and the flavors are spot on. I tried the caramel sea salt and pistachio Italiano and it blew my mind. During Christmas they had a Big Debra pastry (like the little Debbie Christmas Tree cakes) but bigger and better. It was a seasonal item for Christmas and I'm excited to try more pastries!!! Service was great and the ambiance is comfy yet such a vibe! Highly recommend!

First off, we both loved the atmosphere and decor and overall vibe of the café. We were both immediately impressed with the long lost of options on the menu and decided we'll need to come back and enjoy a lunch together. The Gelato was exceptional! I got the Vahitian Vanilla and my wife got the Dubai Chocolate. We both were very pleased and would rate this as well an easy 10/10. The staff were kind and accommodating. We really enjoyed our Sunday afternoon seeing what all Vecchia has to offer. We will definitely be back!
Vecchia gelato and Café has become one of my absolute favorite hidden gems in Hoover. The sandwiches are absolutely fantastic with big portions and the perfect fries served alongside it. I am always excited to try a new flavor of gelato, but the limoncello is absolutely magical. Every flavor is so bright and leaves me trying to plan our next visit back. The pastry case is absolutely filled to the brim with gorgeous decadent treats. The cronut and sfogliatelle have quickly become my first choice. The staff here provide warm, friendly and efficient service. The restaurant is always so clean and I see them hustling to make sure everyone is taken care of quickly. I absolutely adore this place and I cannot wait to go back!
I love coming here for a light bite or meetup with a friend! I tried their sparkling juices and it was really good! Ice cream here was also very up to Italian gelato standards! They do serve water for free here which I think is SO nice considering there are trails nearby. The seating is plentiful! The staff get your stuff at the table. And also serve you at the table if you order food. Love that this is next to Vecchia pizzeria. Perfect place to have dinner and dessert! read more

Not the best pictures but the gelato here was so good!!! I got the Nutella and my mom got the raspberry. Both flavors were super authentic and not artificial tasting. It isn't right to go to Vecchia Pizzeria and not walk over to Vecchia Gelato and Cafe. We opted for lemon cake and tiramisu gelato. I would definitely get the gelato again. The lemon cake missed the mark for both of us and we loveeeee lemon. Texture was very chewy. read more
