Hero will always have a place in my heart. I love their donuts and I love their food. I always go to hero to catch up with friends so it holds great memories.

I am a supermini (4) fanatic! I love them! The butter sauce on the buns is delectable! Major plus: ALL DAY BREAKFAST!!! Nice ambience and I like that they are always willing to ensure you received what you ordered with great customer service! The young man today was very courteous! I'll be back!

Yummy food and fresh donuts with a slight retro vibe. We went later in the day so the donut selection wasn't too impressive but they taste great regardless. I ordered the loaded hashbrowns and added chicken sausage- it was very good! I love the hash browns here, they're crispy and uniquely shaped. The workers are friendly and the inside is adorable. Looking foward to coming back!

Service? Prompt and polite. Ambiance? Clean and comfortable, with indoor and shaded outdoor seating. Food? The burger on the fresh baked bun is fabulous but for me it is about the secret menu! I had a chicken sandwich, buffaloed and on a donut...just try it!

Pricey but good. Apple fritter feeds 2. Donuts are large and of high quality Coffee was really good wish there was more in the bottle for the price

Hero was great! We stopped by on a Saturday morning for a quick treat. The store was clean and there was no wait despite being busy. Plenty of food and dessert options. Cookies and Cream Donut: 10/10 Sensational. Soft and sweet. Will be back for this! Maple Sea Salt Donut: 9.5/10 Very soft and good, but it was a touch too sweet for us! Parking: They have their own lot with ample parking!

Wow! Not just doughnuts! They make breakfast, lunch and have alcohol to!!! We drove all around Trussville looking for breakfast, even Cracker Barrel was a 30 minute wait! We got a wonderful tour of how great the food was with Brady at the helm. He was sooo friendly and he described the food with such vibrancy and accuracy. He should be the poster boy for the restaurant. I was craving crunchy loaded waffle House style hashbrowns. Now I no longer need to go there. We ordered the: *Loaded Hash browns fried egg, onions, jalapeños, cheese sauce, pepper jam, cracked sauce. Add choice of meat for +3 They bake then, fried them for a delicious texture crunchy creamy texture. They came cut up in the shape of tater tots served with their signature cracked sauce which was tangy and savory and completely complimented the dish. Every bite brought a surprised smile to my lips! I added the fried chicken for +3.00 and it was just another delightful surprise. It was crunchy and tender! *Hero Breakfast 2 eggs, hash browns, choice of meat, HERO brioche toast with jam. Choose Bacon, patty sausage or sausage *The beniegts come hot, with plenty of powdered sugar and a sweet and tangy jam to dip into, and I did. *Pumpkin Latte - it was awesome! Eat your heart out Starbucks, burnt coffee. * Orange juice * lemonade Squeezed fresh and so good. We wanted to order a gallon, but it only comes in singles. The food is fresh and made to order. There will be a name change soon so It doesn't seem like a typical doughnut shop. They are putting in a drive through soon. The only things that would be cons, if I didn't inform you first are: 1. It's a rather small place so a large family and friends (church) gathering would be inconvenient. 2. The restrooms are one single for each sex.

I am most certainly a repeat offender at Hero, but this location seems to be poor representation of the brand. The food is still amazing, don't get me wrong, but this location always seems be battling issues such as: Availability of donuts, cleanliness in the dining area, the absolute BATTLEGROUND that is the parking lot, service is very hit or miss, and so on. I will spare the details. I love Hero, but I highly suggest going to the downtown location if you want to experience Hero in all of its glory

Ran into this place for a quick lunch and decided on the Dad Burger: All beef patty, Pepper Jack, spicy mayo, bourbon bacon jam, oh my!! To say it was delicious would be an understatement. And the fries were amazing and even had seasoning salt on them. The seating area quickly filled with family's, groups of teenagers, and others simply dining alone. Either way, I think the experience fits and group and the food doesn't disappoint.

    Strawberry fields gluten free doughnut

Wonderful strawberry field gluten free doughnut! Highly recommend whether or not you are gluten sensitive . Staff amazing.

Service is quick and timely. Ambience is fun. Food is okay. - I was most excited about trying the super minis and they were not good. The mini buns they came on were delicious, but the actual chicken looked and tasted pretty bad. It was a lot of bland breading and not much chicken. - The breakfast bun is probably one of their best things on the menu. It is very similar to the breakfast sandwiches that Sam's Super Sandwiches in downtown Homewood makes, but with a little more heat from the sauces on it. - I've had their donuts before. I love their little hero's donut holes, the Boston cream, and cereal milk. Their peaches and cream donut wasn't good at all. The peaches were hard as a rock and the icing and donut were wayyyyy too sweet. Bourbon peach was okay. The breaded crumbs wasn't great but the filling on the inside was out of this world. I would buy the filling if it was sold by the jar. The bread pudding donut. Not of a fan of it at all. I won't be getting that again. Texture is kind of funky. I see what they're trying to do, but I think they missed the mark. - The banana pudding on the other hand is amazing and you definitely need to get your hands on one before they sell out. Atmosphere is better than the food. Food is hit or miss depending on what you order. Not worth picking up to-go.

Superhero chicken minis. This is how it came when I opened the box up.

Ask the Community - Full Circle Doughnuts

Would this be a good Sunday afternoon spot for 8-10 folks to come together for coffee and something sweet?

Probably not- It's a small space with only one larger table. That table could fit your group if it's not crowded.

There wasn't line when we got there but the crowd usually follows us for some reason so by the time we left there was standing room only and a line out the door. The bakery items were very fresh and tasty. I loved the Swedish gingerbread cookies - light and crisp. The lemon bar was delicious. They also have sandwiches that liked really good. Coffee - I got a vanilla latte extra sweet (no lavender) and my daughter said it was one of the best. I thought it was pretty good. I would go again when back in Birmingham!

The young girl making the coffee was loudly talking about someone who messed up their coffee order this morning and how frustrated she was. The only other employee was occupied with what seemed a large order of bread etc. When she finished what she was doing she looked at the now five customers, claustrophobically waiting, and said I'll be right back and disappeared. Leaving the one guy serving the one customer. It was 11:30 am on a rainy day. Figured I could do without a cream cheese croissant and coffee and left. Had already waited 5 as the only other person in there and did not want to wait another undetermined amount of time. I know one of the bakers. It's a shame the front has been so bad these last two times.

Even when the line is out the door, the service is efficient and genuinely kind. You can tell the baristas care about what they're doing, they weigh their coffee grounds precisely, time each espresso shot, and pay attention to every detail to make sure each drink comes out smooth and rich. They also offer alternative milks, which I really appreciate. The food is just as impressive. Nothing feels overly greasy, and everything tastes fresh. The biscuits are a customer favorite, but I personally love the eggs, sausage, toast, and fruit. The honey butter is especially outstanding and adds the perfect touch. One of the coolest parts is that it used to be a gas station, and the old pump area has been transformed into a covered patio with couches, perfect for relaxing and catching up with friends. I would easily give this place 5/5 stars and highly recommend it!

The cakes are phenomenal and the prices are more than fair this place has been in business for at least 20 years bc they sell great muffins , etc at a great price - I saw a comment where somebody was disappointed that they didn't warm something up for them(?) and I want to comment this place is not a restaurant- it's a bakery and they've usually got one or two people - you may have to wait ,but it's always worth it.
