This was a solo outing for myself and I can also say that the people were so nice and attentive. The employees as well as the other customers. I ordered a few things off the menu and I can absolutely give a 9/10 to each item. I order pancakes, bacon and I even tried the ham biscuit. Loved every single item. Cooked to perfection and beyond tasty. I could easily tell why the place is always packed. I've wanted to try BBB for a while and finally got an opportunity this past Saturday. I've heard the wait can sometimes be pretty long, but fortunately we were able to get a table pretty quickly. Outdoor seating is one of the best in town, nicely situated among trees for a cool and comfortable setting. The chairs are comfortable, some places have 10 minute chairs these were 60+. Amy on her 3rd day was amazing. Old School Wrap very good, sauce not so much. Fries were worth fighting for, which happened! Screamin Demon sandwich got rave reviews. Fries shared beguilingly. Decided to finally stop by and try BBB. Of course they don't take reservations and it was packed. We got there a little before 10 am and there was about an hour wait. Once we were seated, we were greeted as normal and ordered our food and drinks. Keep in mind, the mimosas even though it was your typical beverage, it was slightly overpriced in my opinion at $10 a glass and the glasses were small lol. For some reason, BBB doesn't have carafes. I also ordered the shrimp and grits. It was your typical breakfast dish. It was pretty good and the food was served pretty quickly. To me, the BBQ sauce that came with the dish slightly overpowered the dish and it made it seem like I was eating a BBQ soup than shrimp and grits by the time I was done. I ordered the breakfast plate with scrambled eggs, spicy bacon, a biscuit, and hash browns. It was absolutely incredible and so much food! My kids ordered the cat head biscuit and the French toast. The French toast is incredible- three large, decadent slices with fruit, whipped cream, and berries. The WOW factor came in the cathead biscuit. Holy cow that's a lot of food! A ginormous biscuit, split in half, topped with two fried chicken breasts, and all smothered in sausage gravy and gooey cheddar cheese. It was an absolute showstopper and so delicious. Last week I decided to eat at Big Bad Breakfast on 280. I received exceptional service, and the waitress was very attentive. I ordered the shrimp and grits, and it was served with gravy and an egg. I also ordered a mimosa, and I was not too satisfied with it. The mimosa tasted kind of tart, and it did not contain enough juice, in my opinion. The menu had a wide variety of delightful breakfast dishes, and I would love to go back and try them. I would recommend the entree I chose to people who like a lot of flavor in their breakfast food. First time trying this location. The venue is much smaller than the one in Homewood but I do like that there is an option to eat on the patio here. The service was great and my food was brought out pretty fast. I don't think I ever ate anything new on the menu because the French Toast and Creole Omelette is that good that I do not want to try anything else lol.
