I'm so excited that they have opened up a new brunch spot in Pelham! We visited about an hour before closing on a Sunday, hoping to miss the church crowd, and we were successful! The space is by Taco Mac, and the new construction is bright, open, and welcoming. They have a pet friendly patio. I got the deep fried French toast, and while I'm more of a fan of traditional French toast, this was still pretty good, with the perfect amount of whipped cream and berries. My boyfriend's breakfast burrito was DELICIOUS, I'll be getting that next time. Definitely a welcome addition to Pelham's breakfast and brunch scene! read more

We revisited 4/3/2026 at 7:52 am. Was surprisingly empty, got a window booth seat and saw they had New* Spring cocktails. I'm a sucker for cocktails at any hour so I tried the Citrus mint Spritz . It was ok . Drinks once again are not their specialty but they are trying so I do appreciate that! I tried shrimp and grits this time w/red eye gravy. The gravy had a sort of vinegar taste and filled with bacon. I liked it better than the shrimp honestly. I would get it again sans the shrimp. I think I just don't like shrimp for breakfast lol. My husband got chicken and waffles. The waffle is thick and the chicken is lightly breaded. The chicken is the top thing to get here!!! It's not heavily battered and they filleted the chicken breast. No legs, or thighs here. We personally liked this. Service was fast and friendly. She always checked on us . We appreciate this. All in all it checked all my boxes 1. Good food 2. Good and fast service 3. Friendly employees 4. Clean bathrooms Unlike elites who think I don't give 5 star reviews to local places . I do indeed . I just have certain standards. Since it was a Saturday morning and my son and I didn't have much going on, we decided to try the new location of big bad breakfast in Pelham. I had been to the one on 280. My son had never been to one. To begin with the parking is scarce. It's right next to another restaurant and then a big apartment complex which while parking I was thinking, I would not want to live here and have to deal with people parking in my spots. We did get a spot pretty close to the restaurant. There was no sign saying that we could not park there. We were greeted promptly and sat. I could not believe there was not a wait on a Saturday morning. But I think people may get frustrated driving around and not being able to find a parking spot. Hence, going somewhere else Our server was Allison. She took our drink orders quickly along with what we wanted to eat. I got the French toast while my son got the Smashburger. I had decided with the French toast since I've had it before and it was really good. My son is a burger guy so he wanted a burger and he ate the whole thing. They have two unisex bathrooms that that I visited one was much cleaner than the other. Definitely not my favorite place for brunch, but it's good. read more

We decided to give this place a try and glad we did. The staff was friendly and the food delicious. It was just a tad noisier than expected and that was even when sitting in the back corner. There were a few customers standing over us shouting to be heard by one another. Ordered a Vietnamese coffee which was not only delicious, but very smooth. I also had the BLT omelette with tomato gravy and a biscuit. An amazing omelette overly stuffed with everything you would find on a BLT, and that biscuit was just as good. Very filling! Alright, let me just say this location is becoming one of my favorite places to visit. It's located in Pelham, Alabama, and you definitely need to try Big Bad Breakfast for some amazing food with excellent service. This is my second time at this spot, and it never disappoints. You're always greeted by friendly staff, and the wait time is rarely long, so you can get seated within a reasonable period. Now, let's talk about the food. The chicken sausage is great, and the house-made steak sauce is delicious. I love the scrambled eggs fried hard. The biscuits are light and fluffy, served with local honey. That gets a perfect 10 out of 10. The turkey sandwich is really good, with avocado on it, and the French fries are crispy and served hot. No one likes fries that have been sitting under a lamp, and they don't serve them that way. Your food is made fresh to order. The dining area is well-lit, and you even have the option to sit on the balcony if you want some fresh air. I could visit this place at least once a week. We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted with a friendly smile! The drinks came out super fast, I highly recommend the breakfast dude, which is a cold brew with kahlua, it was amazing! I ordered the old school wrap and my husband got the soul on a roll, both were very good, and big portions, specifically the old school wrap. It was crowded when we came at about 9:30am, but we found bar seating immediately! It's a little noisy inside but not that bad, and they also offer outside seating. We had such an amazing experience here! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome - special shoutout to our server Eric, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. We had a toddler and a baby with us, and everyone was incredibly accommodating and kind, which made the whole meal so enjoyable. The food was absolutely phenomenal. I'm originally from San Diego, and the Old School Wrap "Gangster Style" is the closest thing I've found to an authentic California breakfast burrito since moving to the South - seriously delicious! We also tried the BLT with the bruleed grapefruit, and it was the perfect mix of savory and sweet. The location is fantastic - there's a dog-friendly patio and even an outdoor play area for kids right next door, which was a total win for our group. Absolutely delicious southern breakfast. Very clean restaurant and super friendly staff. Coffee was great. I had the biscuit with tomato gravy and egg. It was so very good!
