    Iced Cookie Butter Latte
    Lucy T.

Nice coffee shop just one street down from all the cute stores and boutiques in downtown Homewood. Parking can be a little tricky, but the coffee is delicious! I chose a seasonal Iced Cookie Butter Latte when I came here. They had a good number of seating inside as well.

Blueberry Vanilla Latte is actually so fantastic. The flavoring doesn't overpower the espresso at all. Mwahhhh. Plus it's cute inside and lots of tables.

It has such a cute, homey atmosphere! It's the perfect spot to study or catch up with friends, and they even have a nice outdoor seating area. The coffee is always so good, and every visit has been a great experience. Plus, they have a drive-thru for when you're on the go or running late, which makes it super convenient!

This place is so cute and cozy! It's in a nice little downtown spot, not much parking. There is TONS of seating and it's very spacious. The coffee is so good. I got a hazelnut iced latte and it was shockingly amazing. They have a ton of creative specials too. I wish they had more food options, but my friend loved her cinnamon roll!

    Matcha Latte, London Fog

Atmosphere: Located in Homewood, Caveat Coffee is a cozy, relaxing coffee shop to get some work or studying done. There is a surprising amount of seating options, from an outdoor patio to upstairs and downstairs seating areas. Service: Our barista promptly took our order and the drinks came out hot and quick! Food: We ordered a London Fog and Matcha Latte. Neither of the drinks impressed us. They both mostly tasted like milk. The London Fog barely had any tea in it, and there was not a speck of sweetness to it. From what we could see, the matcha powder used did not look very green or vibrant, and that was reflected in the drink's dull taste. Overall: We've heard great things around Caveat Coffee, but unfortunately, our first experience did not live up to the hype. We'd be willing to come back and try their coffee, but we wouldn't recommend their tea-based drinks.

This was a great find to get some work done. They have free speedy internet and plenty of outlets. Other coffee shops were stuffed, but this one had plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. I had the gingerbread latte that was very affordable and it was delicious. It wasn't the fanciest latte I've ever had... no latte art here, but for $5 it was great. The only disappointing thing was the absence of food. They have a shelf of what looks like Costco danishes individually packaged for $4.50 each and some kind bars. But I'm not docking any stars since it is a coffee shop after all. Everyone was very friendly and the bathroom was clean. There were several larger tables which would be good for study groups.

    So good.

This place is a tiny coffeeshop on a somewhat congested block in Homewood and there are only 2 parking spaces for it. So I've never been inside. That's ok though because they have a drive thru and it's easy to just circle around and get coffee without having to get out of the car. Prices are about average for the quality. Made 3 or 4 bucks for a macchiato or cortado. The coffee itself is excellent. Service is quick, friendly and efficient. So, if you're looking for really good espresso drinks and you're not feeling the whole idea of going inside for the full cafe experience, you can get in amd out of here really quick with your beverage and without a lot of stress. Definitely worth a shot. I'm sure I'll be back.

Draft Latte (12 oz.) with pecan sugar
    Justyn C.

I got the iced draft latte with the pecan sugar adding (I did not like that one, I tasted like a rubbing alcohol effect after words) really weird. I asked the person making it if they can change it for a vanilla draft latte. And that one tasted better but still a little off However My gf got the brown sugar rose Mary latte with oat milk (hot) and that one was amazing! That was a 5/5 But since mine was not pleasing I gave it a 4 if we both got that one I'd give it a 5

Worst iced coffee I have had in Homewood. And most expensive to boot. Could not recommend.

I tried the iced Aden latte (espresso, milk, pistachio and lavender) and it's the best coffee off of lakeshore. None of the flavors were overpowering the others. I also ordered a biscoff crepe and a sabaya. The sabaya was flaky and crispy, smothered in delicious honey. It wasn't the thickest sabaya but I enjoyed it! The biscoff crepe was so decadent. The crepe itself was soft and chewy, the perfect texture for such a delicious crepe. The fruit given with it also paired well with the drizzled sauce. I, however, was anything but cute while eating my sandwich I don't want to speak too soon since this place is still new, but the hot Italian sandwich might be the best sandwich I've had in the Birmingham area so far. The bread, sautéed onions and peppers, and whatever sauce they put on it took it completely over the top. I also love that they're open for Saturday lunch! It's worth mentioning that there's a park nearby if you do visit with your kiddos and need something to do after.

I have to say I'm really impressed with how this area has been revitalized lately! There is both an Honest Coffee and a Frothy Monkey here. I actually like this so that if either is too crowded you can try the other one. Honest Coffee is small, but so chic. I loved everything here from the atmosphere to the staff. All so warm and welcoming. I met up with my friend Miranda here to catch up and since it was in the morning, I totally opted for a caffeinated drink. I saw a lot of other drink options like Miranda's Watermelon Slushie and thought those would be great for when I come by here in the afternoons or evenings. I chose their seasonal drink of the Orange Creamsicle iced coffee. It was delicious! It was just the right proportion of orange creamsicle sweetness but still a good amount of coffee flavor. A barista there gave us juice samples too that I surprisingly liked too. It was some sort of juice of beets, ginger, and other superfoods. I will definitely be venturing this side of town more!

My friends also said the Expresso Martini was way too strong. The staff was amazing and accommodating. The problem we had is that we had a group of 12 on Saturday at 10:30 for brunch. We called on Thursday for reservations which they don't take. They did tell us to have 2 or 2 people come in at 10:00 and they'd work to seat us. They knew we were coming and had a phone number if there was a problem. I received no call. We were provided a table for 8 at 10:30 with 2 two seater tables. This was not ok. The manager did work with us to scoot empty table to our large table so we could all sit together. Water was promptly provided and drink orders taken. Then food orders taken. Food came out before drinks. I know it's hard when there's a large group but I felt it should have been staffed appropriately knowing we were coming. I am in a women's group that plans various brunch's lunches and dinners in the BIRMINGHAM area. One of the ladies made a reservation weeks ago so they knew that we were going to be at least a party of 12 to 14. It turned out to be about 12 when they got the tables together. There was just one full table of about eight people and then two other tables which weren't close to us so they ended up putting an extra table in so we could all sit together. Since it was a Saturday morning, it was pretty busy. Parking is a bit cumbersome. I pretty much had to make my own spot so that was a bit frustrating. I don't think I saw any handicap spots. I arrive there about 1015. We had to wait 15 minutes to get our table which wasn't too bad. When they came around to take our orders, we gave them our drink order and our food order. Several of us got some alcoholic beverages. I was a bit surprised that we didn't get our drinks until after we got our meals. I chose to get the vanilla French toast which came with spiced peaches, but I did not want that. I wanted strawberries which they told me they were out of. My friend next to me got a breakfast board and lo and behold. She had strawberries on there so I asked again for strawberries and the young man said they didn't have any and then I pointed to her board eventually I got strawberries and was charged five dollars for them, which I wasn't told before hand. I did get the espresso martini, which mostly tasted like vodka. It was very strong and not very tasty. Also, the glass was very small. It looked like they only had two bartenders if that you could definitely tell they were behind. All in all my experience, there was not very good. I don't think I will be back. I had a brunch plan there next month that I decided to change to a different location. Rachael was our server and she did you the best she could. She had no control over the drinks. I also asked for extra napkins, which I did not receive. It seemed like it wasn't very well staffed for a Saturday rush.
