I've driven past here several times while visiting family. I finally decided to give it a try and I ordered the snickerdoodle latte and it was great. We walked in and were quickly greeted and the service was friendly and helpful.

So I'm slowly getting back around to my coffee shop tours. Up next, Santos coffee! I really like this location that's in the former Wendy's. They have really taken this space and converted it into a nice / cozy atmosphere. Grab your drink and opt to sit at the bar, tables or chill out on the sofas! Of course, for my drink I got a Cortado. I love those! I enjoyed my drink but it was rather on the smaller side. Like EXTRA small!! Took one sip and it was gone! Parking isn't an issue at all . There's a drive thru. Tesla charging station, oh and outdoor seating too!! This was my first visit to Santos and I'm glad I paid them a visit.

Charming little coffee place inside an old Wendy's. The decor is super chill and bright with plants everywhere. I got an iced americano and a basil lavender Fresca and both tasted great. Very friendly staff!

Everytime I go the works are always so nice to me! I love that they also have a drive thru for when I don't feel like going inside. They always have new menu items. My favorite is their strawberry smoothie with yogurt. Also the sausage egg cheese bagel with the dipping sauce is so good!! I dream about it

Delicious coffee and crêpes, plus baked pastries! The menu is breakfast and lunch with lots of healthy choices. An attractive (clean and nicely upholstered) seating area and two(!) separate (clean) handicapped accessible restrooms. Soft jazz playing at a moderate volume and free WiFi... what else do you need? Yes, it has a drive-thru too. It's steps, maybe 50' from the Tesla Supercharger. No worrying about idle fees; you can plug in, charge and unplug without moving your car. You can see from your chair how busy it is, allowing you to return to your meal, and enjoy finishing it if it's not busy. This really matters when the weather is awful. It's worth a small detour to avoid the nasty experience of the downtown Birmingham supercharger off I-20/I-59 where you have to pay to park in order to charge. It does close at 6PM, so no restroom access, but maybe the gas station across the highway can accommodate you. This is the place to stop before or after a trip to the airport.

My friends got the ham and cheese croissants, which looked incredible. I got several different things to try, intending to share, but brought them all home on a rainy day and they never made it back out of the house. The olive oil cake was scrumptious. Light, pleasantly sweet. Almost a pound cake texture, not that weird polenta-y thing. The oat morning bar also had an incredible flavor. The jam was tart and the oats were sweet with a little salty finish. Fantastic with some coffee. There was a line out the door when we got here. No seating inside. It all moved very quickly. I can see why everyone says these are the best pastries in Alabama...

First time visiting and I see it's somewhere you need to get up and go early for the best variety…read more It was nearly 11 am when I arrived and it was slim pickins' on what was left. Lemon Bar, Olive Oil Cake, Chocolate Croissant, Miso Blondie and Brownie were what was left and most of them it was only one left. I selected the brownie it was a peanut butter spread on top and was actually really good and large enough to share with multiple people. The staff was nice and moved quickly when making the ordering process seamless. The space for guest is not very big so you do have to either sit outside or take it with you, it's a decent amount of the outdoor seating and also a coffee shop next door. In future I would hope to be able to get there earlier so I can try more of their offerings.

What a charming bakery/coffee shop in a super cute almost European nook in town. If you're…read morevisiting, I definitely recommend taking a drive to this area. Progressive area - Seems to be... There wasn't line when we got there but the crowd usually follows us for some reason so by the time we left there was standing room only and a line out the door. The bakery items were very fresh and tasty. I loved the Swedish gingerbread cookies - light and crisp. The lemon bar was delicious. They also have sandwiches that liked really good. Coffee - I got a vanilla latte extra sweet (no lavender) and my daughter said it was one of the best. I thought it was pretty good. I would go again when back in Birmingham!

Any time I head out of town (Huntsville), I try to find a local pastry and/or coffee shop…read more Visiting Birmingham, I had all lot of options; Continental wound up being the call for pastries. Nestled in the Mountain Brook area, it's a little hard to see but is right next to Chez Lulu, which I think is a sister restaurant. Parking is a little tricky but manageable. I got there fairly late so the selection was a bit picked over, but I still got a good array of treats to bring home. Service was a touch slow but friendly. They were fairly busy. There's no room to eat inside or outside that I could discern; it's exclusively a take and go type of place. I got two pecan sandies to share with my parents, who were along for the ride, and then a cardamom bun and a peanut butter cookie for later. Sadly, I don't feel like any of the pastries really wowed. The pecan sandies were a little too dry (even as sandies go) and the pecans didn't taste toasted nor were they especially plentiful. The peanut butter cookie was the best thing, though it too was a little on the dry side - nice PB flavor though. I straight up didn't like the cardamom bun. The cardamom flavor was completely overwhelming, to the point it wasn't sweet at all, and instead tasted almost medicinal. The texture was nice but I couldn't finish it. Perhaps I arrived too late to order their specialties. I know they specialize in European goodies so if I return I'll make sure to try a croissant or something similar.
