I was looking for something quick and easy for lunch. This came up on my Yelp search. I hadn't realized it's only a drive-thru until I got there. However, it worked just fine. They have a drive through on both sides of the building. A young man helped me promptly. I ordered the chicken salad and a Vulcan iced latte. The chicken salad pack comes with pita chips and hummus. The chicken salad was delicious. The amount they put on the sandwich is generous. The hummus was a tiny scoop for the number of pita chips. You can order extra hummus for an additional charge, however. The latte was good and strong. I love a bold coffee. However, it wasn't as smooth as I prefer my coffee. It had a bit of a bitter punch like Starbucks. The flavor was good though and I did finish it. The menu is limited for food options, but for a quick and easy lunch or coffee, it's perfect! read more

Wanted some fuel for the drive back home from Bham last week. I'd driven by this drive through coffee shop a couple times on prior trips; it's conveniently located near a path to the interstate. They have a large menu of all kinds of coffee delights as well as teas, energy drinks, smoothies, and frappes. A smallish southern-influenced selection of breakfast and lunch items is also available (chicken salad, pimento cheese, sausage biscuits, etc). Service was friendly and quick enough and the drive through was easy to maneuver. I tried an iced Hollywood, one of their "local favorites," a latte with caramel, hazelnut, and cinnamon. The price was what you'd expect, on par with other similar locations. My drink was okay. It was pretty sweet, which I liked, but had a very strong and rather strange chemically sweet aftertaste that I didn't. I couldn't put my finger on which of the syrups/flavorings I think did it (though I'd guess caramel or cinnamon based on the flavor), but it was off-putting, leading me to a series of rather sad hopeful initial sips and then continued disappointment when the weird flavor persisted. The coffee itself seemed smooth and nicely brewed! I'm sad it didn't work out for me on this visit. Cant review on google for some reason so here I am reposting: Girl with beanie hat and brown eyes acted inconvenienced when Im the one who had to drive back there to get what we spent over thirty dollars for lol. I left really confused at the whole thing. So I told her the three things again when I drove back up but she was listening to a coworker and she immediately said the wrong order to them! Then acted annoyed when I told her again. I was clear as day, she just wasnt paying attention- twice! Absentmindedness is one thing, but she was RUDE. I never write negative reviews but this was a bad way to start the day. There was no "oh, our bad!" Or "sorry about that" it was like I had asked for something off menu and then tried to pay with rolls of quarters. Just treated me like a problem customer. Left such a bad impression. The cappuccino was standard (was really pleased with at least that) and the pimento sausage biscuit was really good. Found this cute little place on our last pass through Birmingham. The coffee was hot and delicious. I had Maple, one of their fall flavors, and hubby went with his M.O. - Hazelnut. Both were great. The pimento cheese sausage biscuits ("Pimausages" she called them - ha!) were delicious. I don't do biscuits very often because they're always so heavy but these were so light and flakey, just wonderful. Before we hit the road we drove up the hill and checked out The Vulcan (must see!) while we ate and sipped coffee. What a nice way to start a long day. We always stay in Birmingham when we travel back & forth from Florida to St. Louis and this will definitely be one of our regular stops! read more

I've been here a few times to grab a coffee and I've definitely enjoyed it. Keep in mind this is just a drive-through and there's no place to sit. They are usually pretty quick about orders. I usually get the Hollywood or any of the other coffee flavor favorites they have listed. Today I decided to try the biscuit with pimento cheese. It was average and I do wish the biscuit had a little bit of butter taste on top of it. To me the biscuit was sort of dry and the whole biscuit with pimento cheese combination is a great combination, but I just wasn't overjoyed by it at this location. It was early in the morning and I tried to also order my lunch for the day, but it seems like they don't sell it in the mornings. I guess I was hoping they had already made the sandwiches that morning and I could grab one to go. As far as the pricing I would say it's pretty comparable to a Starbucks. If you need one of those little stoppers to prevent your coffee from getting cold or spilling they do have those. read more

This is a cute little spot to grab a cuppa coffee on the go. The service was fast, the coffee was hot, I have no complaints. The hours are limited due to Covid but they open at 6:30 AM. I just wanted a nice cup of decaf and they did not disappoint. The cashier was super friendly and this is definitely on my list to go back. They do serve other coffees, hot and cold drinks. With two drive-thru lanes, the line always moves quickly, and the young ladies working the windows give excellent customer service. First time visiting red mountain! Unfortunately, I wish I had tried them earlier. I ordered a double shot, dark coffee, pimento sausage biscuit and blueberry muffin. The coffee was pretty darn good. Great smoothness and flavor as you would expect from a dark brew. The expresso was very smooth as well. The biscuit and muffin were both great. But for $7, I'd expect the chicken salad sandwich to not be as dry as it was. It was made pretty well (I loved the extra onion I tasted- I love onions lol) and I actually could have done without the grapes, but liked the lettuce and tomato. I also got the 16oz Broadway, which was a great flavor with white chocolate and caramel I believe (I may be wrong on the caramel part) but good. It was about $4 which wasn't bad. I will often stop by here in the morning to grab a cup of that ice coffee before heading to a meeting. They have one of the best iced mochas in town! It's really a treat for me as I usually just opt for a regular cup of dark roast. When I want to splurge, I find myself swinging by this spot. They offer other milk options like soy and almond milk if you go the dairy free route. I've seen a different barista each visit (as I probably go so rarely) and each has been very pleasant. Went by for lunch this afternoon because I reeeaaally wanted coffee. Their medium roast coffee (with cream) definitely satisfies the craving. I was pleasantly surprised by the sliders. I didn't expect to like everything together on it, but they're very very good. I don't know much about hummus, I thought it was supposed to be grainy. Red Mountain Expresso's hummus is very smooth and has a good flavor to it. The lunch was definitely better than the breakfast, but I would still go there for either one. read more
