    Sesame chicken bowl

It's been years since I've been to Brick & Tin and I'm so glad that I got to go back! They're a semi-casual dinner/lunch spot in Mountain Brook Village that has sandwiches, salads, and plates. They have seasonal menu items too, and I appreciate that they source certain items seasonally to ensure high quality, fresh ingredients! I ordered the Sesame Chicken Bowl and loved it! It had so many toppings that complimented each other well. It's well balanced with veggies, protein, and carbs and doesn't fall short of flavor! I really liked the chicken, it's lightly fried and had a sweet glaze. The staff were super friendly- our cups never lacked water and our food came out in a timely manner. I'm already looking forward to the next time I get to come back here! It's such a cute spot too!

We've enjoyed eating at both locations a 1/2 dozen times and have never been disappointed. Seating is ample, except on Sundays, it's loved that much. Five outdoor tables that are perfect when the weather corporates. Soup & Salad Combo: Mushroom Soup "Yum" and Seasonal Farro Salad. Hearty but light, delicious combo and very refreshing. Sautéed Salmon: Crispy crust on presentation side, moist tender on the inside, served on a bed of Farro salad. Perfection. As always the Service was a snap and friendly. It will take another dozen time to partake of their wonderful offerings.

Hadn't been to this restaurant in quite a while and had forgotten that it's such a great lunch spot in the Mountain Brook area. We were lucky enough to find street parking near the front of the restaurant. Orders are taken at the bar area and then you can locate a place to sit. Beverages and meals are brought to your table by the friendly workers. There's an eclectic array of items on the menu from which to choose. Several things stood out this time, including the sweet corn soup, sesame chicken bowl and the chic & tin. I should mention that all the breads are made fresh in the attached bakery. It's also worth a stop in the back for a tasty brown butter coconut cookie! Overall, this was a very good experience in a friendly and casual environment.... Will definitely be back!

One star for the staff. I have been eating here for 11 years and noticed a major shift in the staff's friendliness and attentiveness.

Brick and Tin has a great ambiance and offers a menu of elevated soups, salads and sandwiches. During sunny days, the outdoor seating gives the vibe of a European sidewalk cafe. Inside seating is modern and warm. Try the

Minimal wait to order at lunchtime. I am not much of a veggie eater but this salad was excellent and I would have been happy to eat more. The Chick & Tin sandwich was very good too. Super fresh bread filled with piping hot chicken. Yum! I only wish one of the locations were closer to the office or home so I could go more often. I lucked up finding a parking spot right out front. You can also buy the fresh bread and pastries to take home.

I had the grilled salmon salad and it was honestly better than I expected. The salmon was warm, flaky, and seasoned really well it didn't taste dry or overcooked like some places. The greens were fresh and crisp, and the lemon vinaigrette tied it all together nicely. I liked the little touches like pickled onions and roasted corn that gave it a pop of flavor. The portion was big enough to fill me up but still felt like a light meal. Our server was friendly and kept our waters full without hovering. Chill vibe inside the restaurant too, not too loud or crowded. Definitely a go-to if you're trying to eat a little healthier.

Wanted something easy so chose this based on Yelp reviews and menu. Was disappointed that they did not actually have butternut squash soup like the online menu showed but chose a salad instead. It was delicious and refreshing. My husband had a panini and a really yummy looking farro salad that he raved about. We aren't local but if we were I could see this being a frequent choice based on fresh healthy ingredients and nice environment and service.

This is my third time visiting Brick & Tin and I can't believe I'm just getting around to a yelp review. Anywho, this go round we had the sweetest and most attentive server, hate I can't remember his name. We went during the lunch hour and they had a pretty big rush and not a ton of seating which led us to the bar. I always get the brisket which is incredible with a side salad. I tasted my friends summer salad and it was so fresh and yummy. I'm not much of tomato girl but it was good. My other friend couldn't stop raving about her tomato pie. I can't wait to go back because their drink menu was a little intriguing to me. This place is a cute little Bham gem if you want a farm fresh meals.

Had the berry salad this time and did not add the chicken- thought it was safer to add the deli turkey and I did enjoy the salad.

Soup changes daily and this day was chickpea and chorizo. Nothing life changing about it but it wasn't bad. We walked into a small, dark, crowded dive bar and ordered amongst several other people after waiting in line shoulder to shoulder with other customers. I say this not to complain (because with a crowd like this on a random weekday, they're obviously doing something right) but to take your kids in car seats (‍) with caution. Crowds in small spaces stress me out and it would have been even worse if we'd had the boys with us. I'd also highly suggest going on a day when you can sit outside. There's very minimal seating inside. They do have a lovely, spacious patio that also feels like a garden with plenty of trees for shade. However, they make it clear they don't want dogs there. Parking was horrific. A narrow street with cars on each side. We barely fit through it. If there wouldn't have been an open spot on it, I'm not sure what the next option is because I didn't see anywhere else and this street only held so many. I would dine here again because the sandwiches were fresh and delicious and they obviously know what they're doing! I was pleasantly surprised that they had prosecco as well. Just heed my few warnings and you'll enjoy as well!

It was about 30 minutes away from my house so I was indecisive if if I wanted to drive that far for food. This place is located in like a mini mall there weren't many cars out in the parking lot and they really weren't that many people inside. But you could tell there's regulars there because when we walked in they were like we don't recognize them lol It is not table service you order at the cash register what we used to call it. They do not have Coke products. They only have Pepsi so I ended up just getting a water. My son got a sweet tea that he liked. He started off with a beer, cheese dip, and that came with pita bread and chips. The server threw some toast and that was really good too. I ordered a cup of the French onion soup and it was delicious. I also ordered the Quattro (Four) cheese flatbread. My son ended up getting the spark burger with mac & cheese. He was dazzled by the burger, but not so much the mac & cheese. I ordered a water. He ordered a sweet tea. I had to ask for a refill for him and I never got a refill for my water. They really weren't a lot of people there so it wouldn't be hard to refill drinks. There is a bar there with a bartender it might be better to sit there so you can get more attention It was definitely a 70s 80s theme in there. In the bathroom, they had a cassette box with real cassettes in there. I really did like the decor. And they do have several TVs in there to watch sports. I'm not sure if I'll be back or not
