    Salmon and farro

Loved everything about this place! There was such a great atmosphere inside and loved the optional outside seating as well. They had a great selection of drinks on tap. The food was served quickly, everything was delicious, and the service was top notch. We grabbed an assortment of bakery items to go on the way out. OH MY WORD I wish I'd gotten more macaroons and jam cookies! Heavenly!! The lemon tart was also PERFECTION!

It's been years since I've been to Brick & Tin and I'm so glad that I got to go back! They're a semi-casual dinner/lunch spot in Mountain Brook Village that has sandwiches, salads, and plates. They have seasonal menu items too, and I appreciate that they source certain items seasonally to ensure high quality, fresh ingredients! I ordered the Sesame Chicken Bowl and loved it! It had so many toppings that complimented each other well. It's well balanced with veggies, protein, and carbs and doesn't fall short of flavor! I really liked the chicken, it's lightly fried and had a sweet glaze. The staff were super friendly- our cups never lacked water and our food came out in a timely manner. I'm already looking forward to the next time I get to come back here! It's such a cute spot too!

We've enjoyed eating at both locations a 1/2 dozen times and have never been disappointed. Seating is ample, except on Sundays, it's loved that much. Five outdoor tables that are perfect when the weather corporates. Soup & Salad Combo: Mushroom Soup "Yum" and Seasonal Farro Salad. Hearty but light, delicious combo and very refreshing. Sautéed Salmon: Crispy crust on presentation side, moist tender on the inside, served on a bed of Farro salad. Perfection. As always the Service was a snap and friendly. It will take another dozen time to partake of their wonderful offerings.

Hadn't been to this restaurant in quite a while and had forgotten that it's such a great lunch spot in the Mountain Brook area. We were lucky enough to find street parking near the front of the restaurant. Orders are taken at the bar area and then you can locate a place to sit. Beverages and meals are brought to your table by the friendly workers. There's an eclectic array of items on the menu from which to choose. Several things stood out this time, including the sweet corn soup, sesame chicken bowl and the chic & tin. I should mention that all the breads are made fresh in the attached bakery. It's also worth a stop in the back for a tasty brown butter coconut cookie! Overall, this was a very good experience in a friendly and casual environment.... Will definitely be back!

One star for the staff. I have been eating here for 11 years and noticed a major shift in the staff's friendliness and attentiveness.

Brick and Tin has a great ambiance and offers a menu of elevated soups, salads and sandwiches. During sunny days, the outdoor seating gives the vibe of a European sidewalk cafe. Inside seating is modern and warm. Try the

Minimal wait to order at lunchtime. I am not much of a veggie eater but this salad was excellent and I would have been happy to eat more. The Chick & Tin sandwich was very good too. Super fresh bread filled with piping hot chicken. Yum! I only wish one of the locations were closer to the office or home so I could go more often. I lucked up finding a parking spot right out front. You can also buy the fresh bread and pastries to take home.

I had the grilled salmon salad and it was honestly better than I expected. The salmon was warm, flaky, and seasoned really well it didn't taste dry or overcooked like some places. The greens were fresh and crisp, and the lemon vinaigrette tied it all together nicely. I liked the little touches like pickled onions and roasted corn that gave it a pop of flavor. The portion was big enough to fill me up but still felt like a light meal. Our server was friendly and kept our waters full without hovering. Chill vibe inside the restaurant too, not too loud or crowded. Definitely a go-to if you're trying to eat a little healthier.

Our brisket sandwiches were AWFUL! They were full of fatty chunks with barely any actual meat. Worst sandwiches we've ever had! Yuck!!

I'm not fully vegetarian or vegan, but I really appreciate having options that feel fresh and not heavy. Every time I go, everything just tastes clean. Nothing feels overly processed or greasy, and I don't leave with that "why did I eat that" feeling. What stands out to me is how easy it is to build something without meat and still feel satisfied. They have plenty of plant-based proteins, grains, and toppings that actually have flavor. It doesn't feel like you're just eating lettuce. I also like that you can customize everything exactly how you want it. I usually order the Farm Bowl (I think that's what it's called) with almonds, apples, sweet potatoes, goat cheese, and chicken. I always get the dressing on the side and swap the goat cheese for tomatoes. The mix of sweet potatoes and apples with the crunch from the almonds is so good. And honestly? It would be just as good without the chicken, which I love because it shows you don't need meat for it to feel filling. The vibe is simple and modern, and it's a good spot for a quick lunch. Service is always splendid! Overall, it's one of my favorite healthier options because I feel energized after eating there instead of sluggish. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for something fresh and lighter.

I love that the catfish is crispy on the outside but still tender and flavorful on the inside. I also really like the Village Salad it's fresh and light, which balances out the heavier parts of my meal. I usually pair it with their French fries because I can't resist the crispy, golden texture. Excellent service and dining experience. Great spot for business dinners or lunch with friends. I've tried looking at their vegetarian options too, and while I don't usually get them, I think they have some solid choices. I like that I can customize a salad or get a few sides to make a meal that's vegetarian-friendly. I think Tasty Town does a good job of offering something for everyone. That's a huge plus; the number of times I've seen referees having to pass on the side because they didn't have utensils! The entree was a chicken pita. It did have a few fresh onions, but I enjoyed them since I didn't have to be the one dragon breathing around the field all day. We did have a choice of roasted potatoes or basmati rice. The potatoes went much quicker than the rice; I had the potatoes and they were fantastic. There was also a tray of chocolate chip cookies provided. I don't think they were frash made; they looked similar to other restaurants generic chocolate chip cookies. They were a nice addition to the lunch, though. They also provided sweet and unsweet tea in gallon jugs.

They brought out salad appetizers, which were essentially just fresh-cut lettuce with no dressing or flavor. Our food finally came out after about 45 minutes of waiting. I ordered the Beef Kebob and my husband got the Lamb Mandi. The beef itself was flavorful and tender, but there were only about 4-5 small pieces sitting on top of a huge portion of rice.
